Those instructions are too vague and not entirely correct and too fast but fortunately I worked it out partly from the tanita japan help page from within the app and when that reached its limit i used trial and error and got it to work. Dreadful lack of clear instructions for such an expensive unit . This is reflected in a number of Amazon reviews criticising the difficulty in pairing/software use. It was good to get the individual body area measurements eventually and we will see how accurate they are over time.
@@RW-ib5hv i finally got it to work no thanks to their instructions but the only simple tip I can give is when you want to use it after setup do not switch on the unit, the app you are using will do that. As to pairing in the first place, I got that by trial and error and not sure I could do it again. I prefer Health Planet app but that is a little less intuitive than the Tanita app. As to the redings themselves, not impressed with the consistency. I suspect a much cheaper unit from another company would have done as well but I own it now. Sometimes it gets stuck when reading both hands but its intermittent and I suspect if I seend it back they will find nothing so I will put up with it to and see if it gets worse
Does anyone know if there is any way to get the measured data to Garmin connect? I don't understand why modern devices do not use unified data exchange formats like CSV, XLSX, PDF ... Every producer plays in his sand box, that's sad!

Hey, I have been using the 545 for a while now and know you can download a CSV of the measurements via email if that;s helpful?
