When Eloise asked "How is she?" in the carriage to her brother, I balled my eyes out at the raw emotion of still caring for a friend that betrayed you but that you still care deeply about 😭💔
I did notice the gauzy shawls she’s wearing make little sense with some outfits. Now that you pointed it out out it’s very clear there is some bulk under it on one arm.
‘Must be lonely’- she is so intelligent! I remember her having a similar conversation with Daphne in Season 1. She sees what others don’t even know about themselves.
Eloise is one of the most hypocrite characters. She doesn’t want to get marry and try to convince Cressida to stay free from relationship, only just to cling on to her. There is a good reason Eloise and Pen fallout. She deserves to be alone anyway.
@@zeromotivation3232 At some point they're going to have to "combine" 2 books aren't they? Eloise and Benedict are both due and I'm not sure they can do many more seasons with a year in between.
Honestly Cressida was the stand out character to me. I loved the depth and character development. Sometimes mean girl bullies getting “redeemed” falls flat. But it felt so natural for Cressida and you came to understand her and why is she acted the way she did in season 1 and 2, and she genuinely was changing her ways and choosing not to be aggressively petty anymore and just really wanted a friend, while also still needing to find a husband because she was in a bad situation. @@Joyride37 Also, I like how Cressida, arguably didn't change. We know how she is and why she is, but the fact that she still has her drive is pretty good writing. She kept her promise to El to be nicer to Pen but she didn't full on back down from trying to one up her. I love that.
It would be interesting if it is Eloise who reassures Colin in his feelings for Penelope. In the book he went to Daphne and she helped him. I wonder if it would be Eloise? Or the new viscountess?

Is it even okay to be friends again after what she did? She did write the things about Eloise in order to protect her but what about writing damning things about Daphne and other members of her family? Nobody made her write those. And now everyone suddenly forgot about it. It's like with gossip girl. After they revealed the gossip girl was Dan, there is no questioning if he is even a decent human being anymore.
@@goodwillambassador9355Pen also wrote things that helped the Bridgertons in equal measure. Can you imagine Daphne’s or Colin’s marriages if Pen hadn’t further spread the rumours? The challenge is that viewers often want to cast stones at Pen without also casting at the ton who are spreading the gossip in the first place and paying for it. People have not forgotten Pen writes a gossip column - it is literally the main theme in the show and the reflection on society that devours toxicity - but it doesn’t mean there are characters that don’t deserve love or friendship. I really don’t get why people say El’s bad this season, she doesn’t understand the reasons behind Pen’s actions and her reaction is pretty realistic and not that bitchy, she’s just really human. Also, she’s making Cressida much more likeable.
I appreciate that she is more like the book Eloise in part 1. In the book she has her independence but not annoyingly like she was in the past two seasons. I’m afraid she will revert back to her immature self in part two, but one can only hope.
To me, she was annoying in the first seasons but in a realistic sense. She was young and reckless cause all she wanted was to stay away from things she adamantly rebelled against. After the hurt of last season and also her time being friends with Cressida, she’s learned more about Standing up for herself rather than taking action without consideration of consequences. She still holds to some of her values without shouting it out. I find this character development fun and what I enjoyed about this season. I also hope, like you do, that they don’t revert her to being immature for dramatic sake.
Colin has pissed me off a lot this season. He had no reason to question Eloise's reasons for wanting to break her friendship with Penelope. He took Pen's side indirectly without even knowing what the hell happened. El had any reason to be mad at Pen and not wanting to be friends with her again. In my opinion,Pen was the most evil character even though everybody thought she was sweet and innocent. What she did was unforgivable. She was the true bully.

That privileged Brigderton girl, so misses her best friend. After that conversation with Cressida it’s sinking in how lucky she is to write her society off.
Their broken friendship is the real emotional charge of this season for me.

I was aching for her. I am still mad that she is hanging out with the Flanders Mare looking mean girl Cressida.
Her dresses this season are all splendid.
Apparently the inspiration for her outfits this season is Audrey Hepburn, which explains a lot!
The costume designer explained that they have started to bring in more botanical themes to the dress decoration (perhaps hinting at her future).
@@carriew5106 I truly hope not but one thing I did notice is her Jacket Collars are more similar to the men when she is around Cressida so...

I can't unsee that her wrist is constantly covered by props because she broke it in the early days of filming.
