The title is misleading. I think the brelvis see deoband and understand it like they understand brelvism. With brelvis it is just one man’s authority and that is Ala Hazrat or Maslak e Ala Hazrat as they would say, Deoband on the other hand is a institution with graduates of all backgrounds who then leave and do what they need to do, you will find difference of opinion on many matters amongst it’s graduates, who later become scholars and researchers. You will even see different academic opinions amongst its teachers and students but the decorum and respect remains as it’s been the case amongst knowledge circles since day one. Originally it started as a Sunni Hanafi Maturidi Institution along with Saharanpur where students from across the subcontinent would come and study, it later added other sciences. This is why you will find many huge personalities of the past from all backgrounds (Sufi, Salafi and even Shia) being graduates of deoband and calling themselves deobandi. It is only when deoband became known as a Maslak e Deoband like the Maslak e Ala Hazrat that sadly brought in the Sectarian divide. Students would study at deoband and then go and further their education and research and serve Islam, credit will go to their institution (deoband) Similar to Al Azhar university and even Madina University to an extent. Brelvi on the other hand is just a Pir Khana this is why even there Taj Us Shariah and other members of Ala Hazrats Family would go and study at Al Azhar and then call themselves Azhari etc, you will never see students from around the world travelling to brelli sharif for education like they do to Al Azhar, Madina, Damascus and deoband. so those coming from a brelvi background when they observe those who claim to be affiliated to deoband with different views and ideas they get confused and think either it’s an agenda to fool us or some sort of hypocrisy.

If your family is unaware of this, they might identify themselves as Barelvi, but believe me, they are'nt, as they do not even know their own aqaid. If you're still unsure, I recommend you watching videos of Barelvi ulema explaining the aqeedah of hazir nazir.

Yes, deobandis never talk about aqeedah. The majority of their bayans are on the status of Parents. That's why we call them Gulabi Wahabi. Gulabi means Pink, and pink seems nice. Bcoz we are on Haq, we don't need to sugercoat our talk As long as you follow Ashrai/Maturidi aqeedah and one of the 4 imams in Fiqh, you and me are the same. Bcoz we both belong to Ahle sunnah wal jamaat. Whether you want to consider me as your own is a different thing. As for Deobandis, buy the books of their founders and read what their wrote about our beloved Prophet peace be upon Him, you will understand why we hate them.

These Brelvi Ulema answer correctly in front of Ulema e Deoband but thier interpretations of these questions in front of common public creates confusions and are sometimes very risky for ones Iman ,often trying to cross the boundary line .and most of the issues are unnecessary arguments,
They started reciting darood in loudspeaker before Adan, is quite a new thing in our nearby masjids, It didnt use to happen in my childhood days. When they saw Deobandi Masajids are painting their dome like Gumbad e Khazra in Green color ,they started painting their dome in black and white zig Zag, I don't know why?
Recently I told one muazzan to say Bismillah or durud so that people may know azan is about to happen If muazzan suddenly starts Allahu Akbar it frightens the sudden noise but if we offer durud or Bismillah nothing wrong Cause everything good deed should be started with Bismillah and durud to up rank our deed or to increase the qabuliyat of our service in the court of Allah ta'ala just like without Durud our Duas are stranded in the skies and doesn't reach to maqam e Qurb e Ilaahi.. nothing wrong i feel And regarding the greenish coloring of Tomb i believe it's to distinct between Deobandi And of Ahle Sunnat If they see Green tomb most probably people that is Ahle Sunnat mosque but if both are looking giving a vibe of Ahle Sunnat than how to identify one it's with the principal of Maslak e Aalahazrat to distinct between the Ahle Sunnat which follows Imam Azam fully in the aqeeda and his practice unlike Deobandi who only follow his fiqh but not aqeedah
