It never was okay, but still we see it every day. Thank you Lisa, you are speaking for countless women!
Happy you are a strong woman that will come through this madness. Sorry you had to suffer this man’s mental illness and the people who mismanaged and enabled it. Thanks for exposing them.
A rejected narcissist can be dangerous. When you see someone is very controlling walk away and don’t look back.
Yes good point!
Very well said.
periodT!!!!!!!
Excellent advise, but hard to do, especially when it involves your employment and your professional credibility. Thanks, Lisa, for all of us!
Or - if you are in danger do the Grey Rock Method where you safely and calmly bore them out of your life. I had to use it to escape a dangerous sociopath and wish his next victim had known about it.
Powerful testimony Lisa Lynch. You are very brave and deserve justice. Will, love the new digs and would love to see a big version of your logo on the wall behind you. Keep up the great work exposing corruption.
I worked for DHEC in a Beaufort and Bluffton (every other day) and then left to work at The Palmettos of Bluffton … terrible area, terrible jobs, and more racism than I have ever experienced in my life!!
Thank you for standing up for yourself.
I went through something similar back in my working days. My advice (and what ultimately saved me) is keep a diary and record every event with any documentation you can provide.
Great advice!
Such a powerful interview. 👏
Keep you head held high, stick to your convictions.
There's a calvary standing with you.
Very well spoken!!! Very brave, & determined . U WILL help others being abused, harrassed in the work place. Those who simply can not make their voices heard due to their very real fear of losing their job too... U ARE bringing change for the better! Bravo!
Great story! Keep up the good work you're doing for the citizens of South Carolina!
IMAGINE A NEWS ORGANIZATION ACTUALLY TELLING THE PUBLIC THE TRUTH!
If you run out of stories to cover, come on over to GA - we'd be glad to have you
here as well!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! My support is behind tĥis woman who is standing tall for all women who were mistreated on the job! 😊
Wow!!!
What is wrong with some of these people in government?
They think they're gods . Prestigious positions bring out the worst in some ppl. But as most have seen, the higher u go; the harder the fall. 🤕
Way too many times, “failure” is UPWARDS.
Way to go! Stand firm. Everyone deserves to be employed on their skill set that they bring to the job, not their gender or the presumption of the "services" that gender may provide. There are too many male and female enablers who choose personal enrichment over honest and ethical behavior.
That’s the type of man that eventually murders his wife when she wants to leave him. I’d keep my eye on that one.
I would move to another State , if I was her .
@@BlackStump172 She’s definitely got a target on her back. Eric sounds vindictive and mentally ill.
She should have picked up on his true creepiness very early on
@@JB-ms9du They mask it early on !
Women are (still today) conditioned to “be nice” and “show grace”, especially in the South.
Thank you Lisa for doing the right thing and being strong for yourself and for all the women who feel they cannot financially afford to come forward. You are a hero!
I have a similar story in a different state. It’s like this generation of city and county administrators is off the chain.
I believe Eric Greenway had similar allegations against him when he worked for Berkeley County. Have you looked into that?
There are 3 sides to every story. Her side, his side, and then the truth!
this interview cd have been over in 30 mins... she talked tooooo slowwwllly... like she was thinking about what to say... he offered her a job,, she demanded work conditions for her.. he was her boss, her office was at home, ofcourse hes gonna show up, HES THE BOSS!!! she went in to work due to her laptop not working, he demanded her to go into his office to work... this woman cd be dangerous....VICTIM mentality...everyone feels for her...this is how "victims" speak..
A comment from a typical male who has NEVER and will NEVER been in a situation like this. If you missed it, she has RECEIPTS.
A comment from a typical male who has NEVER and will NEVER been in a situation like this. If you missed it, she has RECEIPTS.
Good fences make good neighbors. Lots of people get jobs because of networking/ connections. That can backfire too. The boss was inappropriate -- the job should have been posted and vetted by a panel of 3 managers, not finding new employees through personal social connections or creating a job to suit an individual. Screams conflict of interest. She is disingenuous -- with a friend we do coffee or meet in a group. Dinner is a date. Didn't find her complaining about how she got the job, only losing it. By the sound of her CV though, she shouldn't have a problem getting a new job through legitimate means.
I was hoping someone articulate would post this very thought! Thank you!! It’s 2023. Don’t like the come-ons? Say buzz off! C’mon girls! I’m 72 and learned that in the 60s! Lol. Then give deep thought to the importance of the job to your career. You’ll find something far better by showing the best part of your arse as you walk out the door! ❤️
I agree. This interview feels 'wrong'.
I agree. I’ve turned down jobs that were created just for me. Truthfully, it is degrading and impossible to do your best because you are under a highly personalized and sexualized microscope. (Well, I did accept one made just for me job when I was very young. Worked for one week and quit after learning the lesson.)
She seems a bit too grown to be so naive. He gave her the poor me, I have no friends schtick, offered her a job she hadn't earned and she was surprised his intentions weren't pure? Was she a nun prior to meeting him? Unless she'd never been around men before, I don't see how else she couldn't have guessed he had ulterior motives. I mean he's obviously a predator who was entirely in the wrong, but how did she miss the giant stadium sized red flag he was waving? I guess the nepotism of it all was just too tempting.
@@whoopsydaisy6389 - love your name ! I agree with your comment, she knew he had ulterior motives before she took the position, when he created two positions between them, so, as she said, he could date her. She said she knew what he was doing. That’s when she sent him a text “Talk”. I’m sure she enjoyed the attention, but thought she could control him - bad decision. You just don’t willingly put yourself in a position like that, a position made just for you, by a boss that is in love with you…sounds pretty sweet, just not very smart.
Go girl! Get the truth out!
There was a lot of innuendo and beating around the bush in this interview. Was there financial corruption or sexual harassment . Never really got to the point. Hope all the “dirty laundry” gets hung out for us all to see. It’s called transparency !
@artm5294 - I agree, a lot of innuendo and beating around the bush. It’s like we didn’t get the straight story, which is unusual for a professional woman, who should be able to articulate clearly, without so many pauses. I don’t condone that man’s actions, at all, but she knew she would have to keep him at bay to take the job. I would never put my professional career on the line by putting myself in a position like that. I think, in the beginning, there was a relational power struggle that she enjoyed, one that she thought she could control. Why would she even think to text her boss and tell him that she was bringing a date to the dinner they were both attending…if they didn’t have a relationship before, why would that even enter her mind…sounds like a cat and mouse game to me. This just doesn’t make sense.
@larlar8580 I disagree if you've never been through this situation.
Things like this are very difficult to discuss, especially on a forum 19:50 like this.
Pray this never happens to you
@@victirynom - and that’s your right Janette…I just would not put myself in that position for any job. Even though there are rules and regulations, at some point, common sense has to step in, preferably before you find yourself in over your head, and especially when they show you who they are before you accept the position.
They are all on the take so they ignored her complaints against him. How about the RICO Act?
You go Lisa! 💙🙏💙
There is no mental illness here.. I would not excuse this behavior due to mental illness . He is not mentally I’ll . He is a jerk . He knows perfectly well what he was doing and what he has done .. he made the clear decision to behave like this …he needs to be held accountable for his behavior and his actions … this is not acceptable and should be handled accordingly..
Thank you for speaking out, you and all women deserve so much better. Having to witness a grown man pitch a hissy fit because he didn't get his way is disgusting. Change comes when we teach our children emotional intelligence.
Like pulling teeth, Jesus 😳
WTF is up with her consultation charges on 4/3? Over 1500 to prep for “dinner meeting” and conduct “dinner meeting”? Another “dinner meeting” billed for 875 not including the price of the meal? 60k billed to the county over a 3 month period? Both sides seem questionable?
Most people in these positions apparently feel like they are entitled and don't mind putting their hands in the so called, cookie jar.
They're spending OUR money. They don't care.
Wow, Will! Nice professional looking set, impressive! Great content too. 👍🤗
Keep exposing corruption!
A narcissist and his enablers. It’s quite the typical behaviour.
It happened to me too but in a different setting and it was in Europe. It happens everywhere. THEY are everywhere.
I did not keep quiet either and had a file with proof a mile long. One day, they do it to someone who refuses to be itimidated… and shit hits the fan. Don’t stop now. Keep pushing, keep the lights on it. It’s the only way that will work.
Yes, it’s hard and most victims are too scared for the retalitions to speak out. So are some of the enablers btw.
Good for you, and thanks for the channel for giving a platform. Please, stay on this story and keep it in the public eye. Because if you don’t, they will close ranks and nothing will change.
Corruption!!
These perverts are all the same. Women need to have lawfirms on retainer for this kind of thing it happens so often. You could actually make a living suing them, one after another. He WANTED her working from home to get her alone.
Sound quality is terrible, very bad static
What is the distracting background noise?
Nice work. 👍🏻
Interesting but it was so dragged out, slow getting to the kernal of the story, live is too short to listen to all of this. I am completely behind her in what she did,!! That neck of the woods seem to be v corrupt.!!
Watch at 1.5X the speed.
Your welcome.
Woah!!! Feed him fish heads in prison.
What's the deal with the sound in this video I hear others talking and sounds like rain
Me as well.
Very distracting
@@Bayou93 this is the first time on any of their videos that I have heard it I was just letting them know so that they can fix it Their sound quality is usually great
so glad someone mentioned this, to me it sounds like a washing machine kicked on… 😮 I’m 11 minutes in and doubtful I’ll continue watching
The background noise is super distracting. Hard to listen to the interview.
There's a background rumble like a fan or idling truck coming through. Made it hard to finish.
Thanks Lisa!!... :( "What's commited in Darkness,Will ONE DAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE LIGHT!!..... :(
Best of luck Lisa.
The sound is bad....her mic should have been on the left.
She's absolutely correct, it often happens with the aid of other women.
Crappy audio guys
Please listen in 1.5 playback speed and give her some h20.
From Tennessee, what is going on with South Carolina?
I wouldn't feel the need to say I was bringing a date if I already made things clear--
Lord, have mercy . . . this woman is taking forEVER to tell the damned story !!!
55 minutes of fame
@lwwings - 😂 I thought the same thing…Will had to d r a g it out of her!!
I’m not discounting anything she’s gone through, but this interview has been excruciating to listen to…she knew she was giving this interview, she should have been prepared. Oh my God lady, just spit it out!!!
@@larlar8580😂
Money laundering.
Will, u need to nominate her for a nobel..
I had to speed up the vid to make it through her haltingly slow speech pattern.
I ramped it up to 1.75!
I just turned it off.
Currently at 1.25 and it's still maddeningly slow.
The more I listen, the less I believe--
Must be me..but this girl is putting me to sleep..
I'm sure this is an important story..but I'm having trouble understanding what this story is about..I dont hear anything sinister or story telling worthy..
She keeps saying there's a problem, but doesn't say what the problem is..
I think too many people listen to an interview expecting a polished actor. Most people don't have any vocal, storytelling or acting experience. Do you? I saw a woman telling her experience factually and without unnecessary emotion or hyperbole. Go back and listen to her words.
What is all the background noise that occasionally is heard?
I know. It's terribly distracting. Talking and then it sounds like a truck but I'm guessing it's the AC or something
@@sheenamcguire5225I wrote a similar comment. Hopefully they'll fix it.
Wow.
Clear as mud on much of this interview. Jumping around and not finishing thoughts. Will, you usually are better at keeping things on target. Sounds like she had a rough time but if her usual communication is this way, I don't know how she got her position!
And I am not trying to victim shame. If what she said is true, he should have been fired. I would have to see more evidence from both sides. The assumption in this interview is we were all knowledgeable about the situation.
She evades so much...cannot follow..
Hey Will maybe you can afore to a couple of bottles of water so the guests can wet their dry mouth, and keep from smacking so much.
What is happening on this set? Quiet on the set folks!!!
I understand how she feels and of course if she doesn’t want to be with him then of coarse she shouldn’t have to but I will say she acts a little snotty like she is to good for anything
She smacks all the way through the interview, which is irritating. This Eric guy sounds psycho. I'm glad she took action and he was fired quickly. That is very rare. appropriately
It was driving me nuts it’s all I could hear
Be nice! When a person gets nervous their mouths get really dry!!!
@@redrose41000 that’s true
I don't know--her story has no details. What happened when they went out to dinner? What happened next? At this moment, I don't know that I believe her--
Are you going to interview him to get his side of the story? Or just what is this?
What was the text message?
For a professional, she sure was heavy on "um".
Honestly
That was your big take-away?
I am not sure I believe all she is saying. Seems a bit off to me.
2 sides to every story.

Just curious….does anyone else hear people talking and other noise in the background of this video? Or is my phone hacked or something? I’m serious ….
Yes, I could definitely hear other people who were apparently NOT aware that filming was going on. That issue in this new studio needs to be fixed with sound proofing.
she got around...Why? SLED will do an invesigation, country co govt will get promotions and pay raise.
BUT I worked in a county where the women supervisors trated men like this and the woman Co Admin covered it all up, as did the male supervisors. guess why/
Very strange story.
Does she mean she has a hard time not believing her story. I am confused. Very compelling. Come on Beaufort get your sh8t together!
Hmm 🤔 not buying this story. I think she lead him on for the Cush job and he felt totally used . He was guilty of thinking she would have an ongoing relationship with him.
BTW… too MANY mouth clicks… WAY TO MANY .
Do not lead men on! Do not use people.
Lots of deception
She has an antagonistic way of engaging
@@marshallr4797, I totally agree.
Not victim blaming but she should have bailed on the position very early on
@@marshallr4797honestly
Interesting story Folks... corruption runs amok!
Some production issues: I guess you are renting part of a factory but I would ask equipment be shut down during filming to prevent noise.
The flowers are woefully out of focus.
As a former state government administrator, it sounds like any semblance of competitive merit-based hiring is also a problem in Beaufort County. No offense to Ms. Lynch.
Can hardly wait to see the next scandal coming out of Beaufort County Human Resources! Keep Emily Stewart in mind! Serious issues and errors there!
