Like you described, creativity is required. But wow! Great wild stream. Thanks for powering through your exhausted state to share this one. Even though smaller fish, probably one of my wild stream favorites for undisturbed. Keep grinding and netting fish! Get some dinner.

Right on. I was loving battling that brown in the Owens. getting off of that undercut bank full of hazards and onto that sand bar in the river was great.

I have a lake Tahoe Shore fishing playlist that pretty much shows everywhere I have fished. My fishing tips playlist has details on how I rig up for Tahoe, bait I use, etc. My other playlists have hikes and other fishing opportunities in the area. Eagle Lake is a short 1 mile hike above Emerald Bay and has good alpine lake fishing. Lake Tahoe is a little warm but it's worth a try. Either State License is good on the Lake but please confirm that for yourself before you head out. If your niece is young Cave Rock State park might be an easy place to go. Not sure what the situation is. Good luck.

I always try to get a little closer and that's when it all falls apart and the fish swim for cover!

Those are some pretty fish - little tough with all the brush - just being up there is awesome - don’t eat too much LOL👊🎣👍
I run a family friendly channel so you don't get to hear the foul language spewing out of my mouth when I'm all wrapped up in that brush!

Im with you, if i see large crowds i head way away and fish the less busy creeks. Soon fall will be here and the crowds will disperse.
