Before downloading the file onto the USB drive, is it required for the programming laptop to be connected to both the PLC and the HMI, even if the PLC program is already stored on the programming laptop?

Thank you for reaching out. When the project was first downloaded and installed, the programmer of the application would have needed to have: #1) The "Include Editor Project" setting enabled under the Download sub-properties in the Target Property Inspector. Or under the General Settings, check the checkbox "Include Editor Project". #2) The data location for "Data Files / Forms" is set to either Main, Secondary, or Optional. If the above 2 things are setup and there is a CF/SD/USB memory plugged into the HMi, we can upload from the HMI simply by right clicking on the "Vijeo-Manager" in the navigator window and choosing "Upload Editor Project". In the dialog that appears, it will ask for an IP address and the location of the backup (Main, Secondary, or Optional Drive) If the file exists, it will be uploaded and opened in Vijeo Designer. If no file exists, an error will be displayed
Thank, i recover our HMIG3U with your tutorial
