2 suggestions: high ceiling, at least 11ft. and elevator are features that will keep value of your house, for many more years before you want to sell it. You don't have to use it but it's an essential in all luxury estate homes.
I am also in Canada for more than 30 yrs. To build such a huge sky light on roof, have U ever to think about heat lost in Toronto winter and will be like heat pan during Toronto summer even if You have central air con property still hard to handle. Just personal opinion Greg.
Congrats! It is a great idea to build your own dream home if you can afford it. Looks like you guys are affluent so cleaning a big home will never be a problem. You can always hire cleaners and landscaping companies to take care of your garden. We had a house with an acre lot before and loved having a nice English garden. Lots of work though even though we have already hired a company to mow the lawn and shovel the snow in the winter. Your house looks ultra modern. My only piece of advise is to look for future resale value. Most popular luxurious homes in Canada are still traditional styled. They look warmer and cozier and more Canadian like. A super modern home with so many rooms and a huge garage may attract only a small distinctive buyers because they look more like a commercial building than a home. Just a thought to ponder. Anyway, it is very exciting and congrats again.
Your existing house is already my dream house, which I don't think I could afford to buy this life. Buying a 6000sf bungalow is totally unimaginable for me.
I am going through the same process here in Los Angeles area for a 12000sf house. Have you gone through city planning department yet? Permitting will take some good time and patience. Honestly there’s very little chance you can finish by 2023…
The process is a bit different here in Toronto. The schedule we have right now is based on our builder’s knowledge and experience. We know too little to doubt what he has in the plan/schedule, to be honest.😅
congrats! good to have your own dream home.....make sure the sound proof is ok for so many windows, it may be very windy sometimes and producing lots of howling sound

1)身體會健康, 會好好腳力
2)聲線響亮, 中氣夠, 每日早午晚叫啲化骨龍嚟食飯
3) 訓練佢哋清洗自己嘅房間, 廁所 , 培養佢哋嘅自理能力， 可以想像， 淨係將啲衫攞去洗，晾，摺， 訓練腳仔肌肉~
4) 因為保安問題，所以一定要學返一兩招傍身。

只幾個月時間就能起好入伙，真有效率. 我兩年前買了間細細townhouse, 入伙還是了無期。Builder 的理由是 pandemic delay. 哪你們放棄了泳池?總之恭喜哂! 期待2023睇豪宅!
暫時設計上會有室外游泳池加室內浸浴池(spa pool)。不過一切都係計劃階段，有錢完成先再落實。😅

The building should design with air tight, green certify code. And with the solar backup power like Tesla power wall (they might need 3 units).

其實用來用去都係果啲地方，多餘出嚟嘅地方只會慢慢堆積雜物同垃圾
小朋友更容易養成亂買嘢同收集廢物嘅習慣
(住過大屋就知屋企幾多垃圾)
仲要無工人，淨係吸塵都吸死
個人覺得每人有大約5-600尺地方就好足夠
另加廚房、客廳等
(我同老婆嚮香港同多倫多都係按呢個數嚟住，香港就加多個花園，種吓蘭花同羅漢松。多倫多連花園都唔想有，因為冬天好Q凍，種咩花都無用)
