We use multiple Platforms because our clients are public. So we use Pro Series Poly devices. But we also have a x30 and an x50, i wish there was a way for MS Teams, Zoom, and Poly to all be at the ready on the TC8 instead of having to change what platform our end users want to use from a browser setting.
I have a MacBook Pro (M1), a Cadyce (CA-CDPRO) docking station, a Dell Monitor (P2722HE) & Poly X30 (with TC8). My goal is to have just one display (Dell as primary and Mac can be kept in flap down mode) & to use the X30. I do not have a dedicated PoE switch. However, I have one LAN Port on the Dock. How best to connect these systems to talk to each other? I guess the most important question is, the LAN Cable from the TCA - Where does that go to? I have Wi-FI (no router in the room I am trying to setup this Zoom room in). Thank you!
Does anyone know why I can't connect to the Zoom room. The TC8 and PolyStudio are paired but I get this error on the TC8 "Cannot connect to Zoom rooms" In the web portal in Zooms Rooms I can see that room is Offline (we have another room which is online) but both the appliance and the controller of that room are online. I think the room i not connecting with the Zoom server but I can't be sure, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Immediately I clicked I agree prompt for the zoom test meeting, an error message says I need to upgrade zoom room on the device for it to proceed. Anyone experienced this? Please help!
Thanks! Do you mean a video of how I setup the table and pallet wood backdrop? If so, sadly no... you would probably laugh if you saw how pieced together that backdrop really is on the flip side! Lol And the lamp was a nice find at Hobby Lobby.
I had Microsoft Teams setup on the Polycom, but now switched it to Zoom. When I get to the step to login after setting up the platform, my login username and password does not work. Does it reset or something? What do i do?
@@ExpertOfThings I think I figured it out. When I switched from Microsoft Teams to Zoom, the web interface reset my username and password so I had to go back to utilizing the admin login and the serial number as my password. It worked out just fine. I also had to do a update to my hardware and that did the trick finally.
Hi - Has anyone had any issues seeing the gallery view when using zoom on the X50? For some reason I can't toggle between speaker and gallery views. I only have it connected to 1 tv, so wondering if that's the issue? Thanks
The main thing is to invite the room to the call, whether you are a host or not. With Microsoft Teams, you could also invite the room to a meeting that is in-progress, if the room was not invited in the first place.

Agreed.
Whats the issue with using Poly mode - I thought that is what it was intended for?

Hi can you solved It?
Under General Settings/Provider, there is no option for Microsoft teams. How do I enable that
Nice Setup & lamp bro ... is there a video of how you did that ????

How is the poly x30 mounted to the monitor ?
It rests on top of the monitor using grips and customized angles. Not exactly a "mount".

Unfortunately, I'm not much of a wiz in the Zoom space, so I'm not 100% sure...
@@ExpertOfThings Thank you for responding.. I contacted Poly support and they walked me through it :)
Hi, with this system, do we have to be the host of the call or can we join calls that already started ?

Has anyone compared this to the Logitech Tap Zoom Rooms
I'm sure there is a comparison out there somewhere
In the meantime, check out my overview of the Tap + Meetup. They play quite nicely with Zoom as well.
