- Pride Marine Group (pridemarinegrou...) recently held an open house at their newest facility on Lake Simcoe and as part of their grand opening, had a number of new boats on display. The star of the show was a brand new 2015 Sea Ray 510 Fly. Open for everyone to have a look, I was able to get aboard before the crowds showed up.

Wow looks great
I love the opening shot of the 510 cruising into the picture. This is a beautiful boat but you don't want to look at the L650Fly first because it is truly awesome. But that is just reality for you to deal with depending on what you can afford. They are both best in class products.
Fortunately for us, we already enjoy our Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. Lots (and lots) of videos of that #boat on my channel :-)
I'm not really a big fan of this Fly. Weird because I'm a Sea Ray guy. But I was on the 510 in Tennessee in 2012 and prefer it to the Flybridge model here. Now, give me a 650 Fly and I'm good! Thanks for sharing!
+Mark Burley I'm afraid I'm gonna have to agree with you on this, Mark. As striking as the exterior is, the interior layout leaves me a bit to be desired. This model is based more on a Sundancer model.
Call me old fashioned, but as with yourself, I'm more of a true sedan style, with my current favorite being the 550/580 we looked at in Miami earlier this year ua-cam.com/video/3Pf-83WXFXw/v-deo.html
Very nice boat but with $1.5M price tag. Tiara, Azimut Megallano and Beneteau Monte Carlo also have some nice 50's. My favorite is still the Swift Trawler 50. All nice live aboards with similar price points.Every time I drop the anchor on Biscayne Bay, we are surrounded by 60 to 80' yachts. My 34' is smaller than the dinghies they use!
+sailor123ize I hear ya. As for that price tag, one would be looking at over $2 mil up here in the Great White North ;-) As for this model, it's not my favorite Sea Ray that I've seen. Nice boat, yes. Impressive lines, yes. But for our means, this one is more suited to an entertaining platform than a liveaboard or long term cruiser. . . But then again, neither are the Sundancers and we had three of them!
And I know what you are talking about, regarding comparative boat sizes. When we first got 'Boogaboo IV', we thought we were the king of the lake with our big boat. That was until we visited Fort Lauderdale the following winter and saw what our little forty footer looked like e-next to some of those same 70-80' boats you see in Biscayne Bay. It's all about perspective, my friend.

I can not imagine how much money that boat was priced at since it was built the year You bought it, its brand new and not to mention it's absolutely massive. Lord and I thought my boat was big 😂😂

Don't know why boat makers position the bow bed straight on; it cuts off the headroom dramatically. I made a custom mattress n sheet set for our bow bed and positioned it more on a side slant, there is way more headroom that way and you don't bash your arms n head when turning over in a side slant bed.
+Lauren Johnson We had a similar setup on our 30' Sea ray and it worked well. On our current 'Boogaboo', the bed is arranged similarly to that shown in this video and it works for us. There's enough headroom and with the boat's overall 14'-3" beam, it's wide enough as well. The only complaints I hear sometimes is that it can be a pain for Anchor Girl to make the bed, as she's short and it takes a bit of effort to get it neat. . . Problem is that she insists on making the bed like an army drill sergeant. Gotta be able to bounce a quarter off the sheets ;-)

+Lauren Johnson Always looking, but we've decided to sit tight with our current boat for now. We are starting to lean more towards having longer winter vacations down south. This old guy has a real hard time with the snow and cold . . .

I don't like the unnecessary top bit - I think it ruins the lines and general shape - watch out low bridge !!!
As a five time Sea Ray owner, I have to say that I'm not a big fan of their current styling ques :-(
