- The story is set around the Partition era when Kewal leaves behind his newly wedded wife Shanti in Lahore, for reasons not divulged to the viewer. Shanti makes it to India a few years later with her little son, in the hope of being reunited with her husband. But she meets Chhalia who falls in love with her. What will Shanti do now?

Raj Kapoor was an incomplete actor. He never gave any fighing scene in his entire filmi career. He remained to be a coward hero. Dilip Kumar was a complete hero who gave all sorts of scene. His father Prithvi Raj was a great fan of Dilip Kumar; who never appreciated his son's acting over the acting of Dilip Kumar. You don't know the real facts behind the lives of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor. Dilip Kumar was a kind hearted man in his life and did a lot of philanthropic work for India.
