    Black violence not gun violence.
My firearms have never left the
    closet and starting firing on
    their own.

I don't like Islam and I don't care for Farrakhan, but he said something succinctly. "I'm not worried about the white man walking down the street. I'm worried about the brotha."

"more funding"... sure throw more money at it... "The building communities" bs is just that. The issue is to build citizens with a moral compass and core values in their lives.

Police wasn't defunded in Chicago. In fact police spending was increased in 2023. Any other suggestions?

    • @Mtmill08
      @Mtmill08 17 днів тому +5

@@emmanueludoh77 while police spending was up, actual staffing is down by nearly 2,000 from just a couple years ago. The only reason spending is up is because of overtime...maybe just hire more officers so the city doesn't have to pay so much in overtime. So no, my suggestion is still don't defund the police (which had an unintended consequence of more spending).

No one wants to deal with the elephant in the room that is pissing and messing all around the room.
You are giving money to the situation, but no one tells about the Standards of God, the respect for life, the family structure, cultre that promotes death through drugs, music & the way we treat each other and the accountability for one's actions. None of these programs will work if these foundation issues aren't dealt with.

I emphatically, to use the word Brandon used during his press conference, disagree with the guest. Community programs and so called Violence Interrupters are cottage industries paying large salaries but have not proven to be effective. It's not just in Chicago. In Baltimore a local TV reporter has been butting heads with Mayor Scott to release information that could verify when and where these "Interrupters" work from and what hours they work. One VI in D.C. said he sits in a crime ridden neighborhood with his sound system blaring music heard blocks away. He explained, "If someone is in trouble or needs help they can run toward the music." The bottom line, although he said he wants people held accountable, no one in the Brandon administration wants to use incarceration as a tool to deal with kids killing kids.

I would like to say there are a lot of people with no common sense. Every day when I get up to get ready for work, I turn on the news and all you hear is news on Chicago shootings. This is every day and multiple stories maybe as many as 5 per day on these shootings. What gets me is you always hear that somebody or multiple people shot late at night while standing on some street corner or hanging out on some sidewalk, or in front of someone's house, or sitting in their cars on the side of the road. Wake up people don't you have a clue of what is going on, are you asking to be shot, are you wanting to be shot, get off the freaking streets. What makes me upset is they do not say this on the news, when the mayor talks about shootings you will not hear him say get off the streets, stop sitting in your cars on the side of the road at 2 in the morning.

First and foremost CPD has to have a Chief of Police that the cops know has their backs! Because it's certainly not the message conveyed from the District Attorney's office or the hopeless Mayor?

    (Satire)
Brandon's newest Five Point Crime Fighting Plan, (FPCFP) goes like this:
    1. 20 million dollars for preschool programs to help keep kids off the street.
    2. 20 Million dollars for after-school programs to help keep kids off the street.
    3. 40 Million dollars for our new violence interrupters program.
    4. 25 million dollars for street mentors.
    5. And finally, 60 million dollars for more school counselors in every school.
MY PLAN, by Dave: 165 million dollars for more Police Officers and Detectives.
SERIOUSLY, I know we need to give the Police their normal power back. Example: Foot chases, Car chases and other things, but in this climate those things WON'T HAPPEN.

Okay.. “Legal expert” you are saying what thousands have been saying before you and have tried in Chicago. I think we need more strict laws.. typically the repeat offenders are the ones doing all this. If you’re found guilty you shouldn’t get a slap on the wrist and then out in 5 months.. that’s a start

How about teaching moral values within the black families in the community. How about teaching love ,God and respect. How about holding parents accountable for the juveniles. How about let's stop making excuses! You can throw a billion dollars at all this BS but if any of the above is absent you can't move forward. Tons of programs and hundreds of millions of dollars over the last 20 years have been thrown at the black communities and where are we at today? It's a cultural issue you don't have these issues with White, Hispanic, Arab and Asian families in Chicago. Let's stop sugar coating the issue and get down to real talk.
