A big thanks to Howard and team great work Just shows not everyone in Australia is tied up with woke rubbish , absolute credit to all the man hours and can do attitude of all owners well done you have shown the rest of us any thing is possible if you have the commitment blown away unreal !
I have no idea how you'd pick a top 3 out of those cars . I don't envy the judges. Thank you Howard and crew once again for your insight and work on the video.
Thanks Howard, Fuzz, Kylie and Adam, all you comments and Howards filming make Astill Design Videos really great not to mention Heather's editing. Just like been there ! Thanks Bill Mc.
The truck with chevy wagon on it has made the trip down there from Maryborough qld, its the one you question why it was in the hall i think last year or the year before, it was also at the Father's Day Show n Shine you went to when you came up to Hervey Bay.
Being on the west coast not really an option to came and see it so thanks Howard for your video So many incredible cars as usual On something else you were saying I think hot rods have had their day and the present trend is Aussie chrome bumper cars But they to me all seem to follow the same pattern All are absolutely amazing
Gary's Escort Panel van cleans up the awards at the Van titles its either him or Fritz Pels Jaffa XC panelvan. Thanks team for the video. Hoping to take my xh star wars panel van to Mildura at Easter.
Super cruise … Reminds me back in those days sneaking on the Super Cruise in a port wine landau polished within an inch of its life but not ment to be there. Looking bout 500-1000m down the road security walks slowly out onto northbourne ave as we’re loving life only to get directed off the road 😂 Good times
Some really incredible cars and “utes”! Crazy huge wheels and the engines are insane! I did notice some of the trunks or boots are not finished in upholstery but painted and finished in paint. My guess is it matches the engine bay. Always over the top either way.
VH, sweet. Looking for clean, subtle double take fab work, cohesive design, new take on old look, unique, big budget (relative) a must even if home built, smooth, sleek, timeless, and so on BUT inspired and constructed with passion, start sanding, all the best buddy.
@AstillDesign I get what ya saying but what other material would look good in bright Orange? Did ya spie the bright alcantara interior on the Troy Candy HSV give away, kind of what I'm thinking would look good
It's not set up for 'concours' cars ......Howard gives a good explanation of what's needed for points when looking to win ......modifications but also must be driveable , having said that......Ron Barclay won with minimal mods , but uber detail
A am lot annoyed that you chose not to talk about the FE Mustang but you chose to talk about the wheel covers (plastic) and how you presented the Boss Coup on wooden floor halls. Please if you have time I would love to get a look at the Stanger as due to ill health am unable to attend this year. We were in the game at the original Street Machine Nationals at Wagga Wagga. I entered in the 6th Street Machine Nationals in the 1980's. At Natex along with other mates cars. Love the sport.
Sorry mate can't go back, but I was taking about the fact that the mustang was unloaded with plastic on its tires and Kylie was talking about Tail Spin on timber floors and I was talking about BOSSXC. All interesting stuff for the viewers. The Mustang was a restored build and not much I could add.
Heard that before, still manged to win best Custom paint, 2nd Body work and TOP custom. Custom being the main word. Just because you don't like a custom car doesn't mean you have to bag it. My mother always said if you have nothing good to say then stay quite. Maybe you could learn something from my mum.
Just going by your user name you sound like a wannabe somebody . You knock because you don’t have . Howard like many have been around the scene a long time & with longevity comes experience so you better go back to the drawing board & come up with a comment that proves to be more valid .
@@AstillDesign Plus Tailspin which the three of you built 9 years ago was this year still top 10 and won categories with minimum prep! Some know it alls just have to talk rubbish don't they! Thanks to the 4 of you for this walk around showing those of us who couldn't come the cars!

Not so much questioning just which one ore both
I think last year same truck was in hall and you questioned why was it in there didn't have the wagon on back
Thanks for the great coverage Howard and team, Kylie's chuckle adds to the video
never noticed noticed see was a chuckler
The Chevy pick up is one gorgeous car
Amazing

Yep, the Aussie chrome bumper cars are really popular at the moment.

Might get to see you there.

Thanks Mr Astill um black shoes fuz. I would love to build a top 60 car I have a VH but it's hard to get the info on what judges look for.
VH, sweet. Looking for clean, subtle double take fab work, cohesive design, new take on old look, unique, big budget (relative) a must even if home built, smooth, sleek, timeless, and so on BUT inspired and constructed with passion, start sanding, all the best buddy.
Go onto the Summernats website and go to the entrants section. Has videos and all the info.
@AstillDesign thank you sir
Watching to end 💚👈🗣💚🗣🦘🇦🇨
The VL today have got crazy ❤
If that Grey XY had a Orange Alcantara interior to match the stripes and super roo down the side would have looked even more awesome
Leave that for the Euro supercars
@AstillDesign I get what ya saying but what other material would look good in bright Orange? Did ya spie the bright alcantara interior on the Troy Candy HSV give away, kind of what I'm thinking would look good
Good video guys
Thanks
Has an Original Genuine restoration EVER WON Summernats ?
Love the XW Silver Fox as I have one.
It's not set up for 'concours' cars ......Howard gives a good explanation of what's needed for points when looking to win ......modifications but also must be driveable , having said that......Ron Barclay won with minimal mods , but uber detail
Same this year, Rons camaro is sensational but misses out on modification and engineering points
Im a ford bloke but you have to give it to that ht monaro, surely it wins
As we now no, bigger is not always best when judging.
Can you tell us how much some of these cars cost to build.
For sure, somewhere between 200K and 1.8 million
So much better than what summernats put out
Thanks for that. trying to make it real and cover them all.
Cheers for showing the red Honda that was awesome to c
Its something else
XR ❤💙👍👈
That silver two door Monaro, what would it cost to build.
? Somewhere between $600k-$1M would be my guess.
the guy that made VK Boss was interviewed he said his inspiration was your XC Boss
Cool!! thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing I'll get there one year 😊 cheers from #yarniesgarage
Cheers mate
Tailspin still looking good ❤️
Picked up paint, second body and Top Custom

Few and far between station wagons, unfortunately
Long live the long roof
@AstillDesign they where "Swag" in more ways than one
chucking slushys is a dog act
probally was dropped and splashed up the side
Fluffer cars...
?
Stop living in the past! The show cars have gone way past your skill level, you are 80s or 90s level and not 2025 level
Funny how the last one we built was in the super six in 2024 at Motorex
@@AstillDesignYour experience knowledge and results over decades are obviously not related Howard .. 😉
So where abouts is your car mate.. Did you make it into the top 60..? Haters will hate.. #pathetic.. Howard for the win 💯👌🏻
