- Bondi Beach is a popular beach and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Bondi Beach is one of Sydney’s largest beaches and it’s the closest ocean beach to the city centre ( 7 km east of Sydney CBD ). It is easily accessible by public transport, and the area is very popular for locals and tourists.

As Canadians we moved to Darwin to live, we flew to Sydney in the winter (Oz) for a stopover to fly back home for a visit. After the heat of Darwin, when we got to Sydney we were in sweatshirts shivering and everyone at Bondi was running around in swim suits. Guess Darwin thins the blood. Plus the water in Bondi was frigid, and people were swimming and surfing. Tough those people from Sydney.

Bondi is one of the most overrated beaches in Sydney ,only for the innocent tourists and I used to board ride there ,its a beach to be seen on instagram and social media, head up to the northern beaches.
