Diabolic is in the top 10 of the greatest white rappers that have ever existed. And in the top 100 greatest rappers that have ever existed irregardless of predjudice. Period. It's no debate how unrealistically good he is and how he helped open doors. All these white rappers today can thank Eminem, Diabolic and Paul Wall in that order for making white rappers a credible concept. But his ego 'destroyed' him, so to speak. He wanted to 'keep it real', as it were, not realizing there is a fine line that can be walked where he can maintain his integrity with uncompromising consistency whilst milking his skill and the opportunities that arose as a result of it. He just didn't have the intellectual, social and 'professional' maturity to realize this possibility, his possibility, and how to navigate it. And now he is but a shadow of the conversation he use to be. Albeit's not too late to still render himself profitable enough to make a living for the rest of his life, but based on what I see of him in his interviews and commentary - I am uncertain about his ability to overcome himself as his biggest obstacle and cement his icon statis in such a way where it is inarguably solidified.
