hi, thanks for your videos. I had a quesion. If the PV power is same as load power then the battery will charge or discharge? Is there any way to disconnect the battery if the pv power is same as load power
Hi, if the reference battery current is zero, it means that it is disconnected. Also, you may define a disconnection case by keeping the battery side switch OFF.
It's a basic example. You can add multiple functions, as you described, such as disconnecting the battery (Ppv = Pload or Ppv >= Pload & Soc = 100%)? You can incorporate voltage control for the PV converter... many functions that you can add.
It depends on your load voltage. I consider there is a load that’s operating voltage is 48V. If you have a 60V nominal load voltage, you can design the system for 60V. But the system parameters may change. I am tuning the PI parameters by trial and error. You may check my latest video to see it.
Hello, your video is very informative, can I ask how you chose the R, C & L values? As well as battery? My PV is designed for 200V so what values shall I use? is there a way to calculate
Hello, if you can clearly see the power architecture, you should distinguish two channels (1: PV + converter / 2: Battery + converter). Depending on your system specifications, the PV converter can be a non-reversible Boost or Buck converter: Boost to increase the output voltage or Buck to decrease it (for example, if PV = 200V and you want 100V at the converter's output, you should choose a Buck converter since it decreases the voltage). On the battery side, the converter should be a bidirectional Buck-Boost converter, meaning power flow can go in both directions (battery discharge and battery recharge). To calculate the converter parameters (L, C), you can refer to courses that explain the steps to follow for each type of converter.

Thank you very much.
Thanks for your interest.
That's really helpful, thanks a lot.
i did not open for yandisk can you put in google drive the matlab file kindly
sir , I really hope you answer my question, I did the same simulation but didn't have the same results !! the problem is when I tested the very first part PV +boost+load+MPPT the current "Ipv" is a sequare signal and takes negative values also. what do you think the problem is ?
Hi, I am not sure, but the power direction may wrong. Please check both the model and control parts step by step. It is not a typical problem.
@@nakiguler thank you sir I found the problem and it works great ( wrong mppt code) although I have another queston and it is mentionned above too : why did you chose Vref = 48 v ? I'm trying to understand how the management system works the way you've explained .
@@narimanebenameur1050 are you get wave forms same as in video??
sir when i compile the first PV part , i got a message ' please change your current directory to a writable outside of the MATLAB installation area'
What should i do sir?!
maybe this can help you
www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/70005-how-can-i-change-directory-of-matlabfunction-to-a-writable-directory-preferably-outside-of-matlab-i
You should change the ’Current Folder’ which is seen around the command line in MATLAB.
may i know what version are you using?
2019a
We hope, that you made a vid on calculation of PI value for controllers
Calculation of the controller parameters is a challenge for complex systems. I can't say a method for all models. Sorry, but you may check Ziegler Nichols method.
@@nakiguler what's Ziegler Nichols method..
Thanks
Please, can you make video about the closed loop control of Cascaded H Bridge multilevel inverter ?
Hi, I may think about this. Thanks.
what is version in describe of video ?
Thanks for the tutorial and please can you help me with my simulation because I have problems
Hi for some reason my battery doesn't charge no matter what I do. Any specific reason ?? (I am using 2 parallel PVs)
Hi, you may check the control of battery side. Especially check add blocks +/-.
Awesome, thanks for your help.
How you decide the value of inductor and capacitor of bidirectional converter??? Reply
I didn't calculate these. I will make a video about it...
能分享一下这个模型嘛?
Plz can u provide me the mppt video link?
Are you using matlab R2020b or R2021b?
I am using 2019a.
is there any reference paper for this work
Thanks man...it was a very informative video.I simulated your control algorithm in my model to obtain the results. But, when I am keeping the initial SOC of battery as 100% and solar PV is supplying power to the load, in that case also, the battery is consuming power. I think the battery being 100% charged, should not consume power. Could you or anyone help me with this..
@ETIKALA NAGARAJU i have file .slx

Hi guys, Did you get the same result as presented in this tutorial? I don't!
