The Hungarian Folk Tales stem from original folktale collections, every episode has its special authentic ornamentation. The makers used the decorative art of a certain countryside region at each episode. The trio of folk art, folk music and folk tales are masterfully combined in the episodes, which have unique imagery, sometimes spicy folk humor in the dialogues. Thanks to the natural presentation of the storytellers, and the music of the Kaláka band, the viewer can experience something unique and special.

I love how everyone just got eaten by a talking pork pudding and their reaction was to dance back to their homes 😭😂😂
there is strength in not being scared or fettered
@@hawkingstar1698 Fair enough I'll remember it for the next time I am scared
I like how all men were given only two options: die or get married.
Anytime I see an epic adventure like the last one in a folk tale, I’m always like “how is this not a fantasy movie?” We keep getting complaints that movie makers have run out of ideas but the stories are RIGHT THERE. They clearly aren’t looking very hard, lol.
John the swineheard against the 3 headed dragon would make a great movie! 🍿 🤩
I grew up watch these lol
Lol.. the princess that married green Peter had byakugyan.... 🤣🤣
8:40 wait what happened to peter's sister?!?
😂
The little sister said to herself,
"I'm not doing very well in this story at ALL.
I think I'll move on to the next story to seek my fortune once my brother comes back for the last time. Clearly there's no need of ME to be in this one any longer. :)"
And so the sister waved him home every day to ensure the story's end, and once her brother had made his fortune, she moved on to the next folk tale on foot.
lovely stories
I've tried looking up what the heck kind of recipe the pork pudding was of, just for curiosity's sake, but I've never been able to find it. Just going off the animation, it looks like a cross between a Scot's haggis and Manchester rag pudding and/or scrapple.
It's black pudding
They eat it in uk
isnt it sausages?
@@tozakiperson Black pudding is made with blood and oats; if you watch the animation, it looked like leftover bits and pieces from the butchering were chopped up and put into the pork stomach. Similar to sausage, but stomach instead of intestines.
Just tipe into a google images 'tlačenka' or 'disznósajt', and you'll see it.
Where did Peter's sister go? Did she hide too?
Why is it always half the kingdom? If the daughter is the only child, shouldn’t they get the whole kingdom? 🤔
Hungarian inheritance laws dating back to ancient times
@@hawkingstar1698 so what happens to the other half?
@@samanthadean1083 usually given to the king's wife or siblings
He will get that after the king dies @@samanthadean1083
“Dragons” in Hungarian Folklore seem to function a lot like Ogres in Western European folklore… less like beasts and more like Men; able to talk, ride horses, marry women… is it more like the term “Troll” in Scandinavian folklore?
HERE'S A PLOT TWIST I MADE UP FOR THE 1ST TALE: The Swineherd was the boyfriend of 1 of the 3 daughters & they got married the day after the frightening incident. 1 of the dishes served at the Wedding Feast was of course, PORK PUDDING!
So if you live in Hungary, pork pudding doesn't go bad but gains consciousness.. if you let or leave it sitting by for long enough?
Peter forgot about his sister🗿🗿
I thought the same ...
Mmmm pork pudding:>
Story one teaches eat pork faster!
Story 1 is one more reason not to eat pork.
No kidding, that one is basically a horror story 😱
@@jrr2480 people say that swine meat can still be alive even after cooking.
Its really a lesson on how long you can store it
Cute❤😂
@@kairinaseI hate stuff like that… Like headless chickens running around or chopped up snakes heads biting 😬
I need in portuguese pls
