All the best for your workshop in Newfoundland, should go well. Our school of four swimming above my head always make me smile when I look at them. So many wonderful pieces with beautiful colours throughout. Cheers...Freddie
Thank you for the nice close up views of all the fish. I love that they smile. The coverage of the income is very helpful also. Great video. Thank you.
Oh I would so love to take your class. You share so much of your talents online and I sure appreciate it. Wow, all of those bowls, plates, trays and fish are beautiful. Love the chattering and all the colors you did. Ohh. That copper/bronze glaze is stunning. I need to watch your fish videos and learn to make them, they are beautiful. I sure appreciate you showing the costs of the fish. I tried to order tools twice and it wouldnt go through. Probably because I live in the U.S.
I so appreciate your candour about pricing. Frankly, you could/should charge more as your skills, work, time, etc are worth more than $299 for 2 days of work (or even one day). Those fish are absolutely delightful and worth every penny and more.
It was for one day with all taxes paid, so $1500 a week net seems pretty good to me. I guess that all depends where you live too, not so good in Manhattan but up here where $600 per week, then taxes taken out, is considered a living wage I feel very lucky to achieve this. Happiness and time are very precious commodities these days. Thanks for the feed back.
Those two spots could be for us Jackie. I wish physically we could attend too! Jackie we all have been in his classes while viewing Vaughan's videos and so so grateful for you Vaughan. Lucky folks to attend his workshop for sure.
I don't like feet, but those feet were beautiful on the bowls, stunning fish, not really a hand builder, but I might just give on a go. I've saved your fish video and your whale making video because I just love your whales when you make then or add then to a piece. Another good video. Thankyou 😊
Thank you Vaughan very helpful to know 😊 I have 25% on my work too, as I sell in a gallery. But I’m looking into setting up a website? Good luck with the course 💚
Yeh, the feet on the bowls turned out really nice. And I love the blue plates you did. Do you ever do Raku, like copper raku? Your fish are beautiful as is, but I think some of them would also look really cool done in copper raku. Just a thought; take for whatever it's worth. Everything is beautiful!
Hi Vaughan. Your videos never fail to inspire me. Thank you for the cost breakdown. I was wondering if you could show the backs of your pieces when you are unloading the kiln and would it be possible for you to do a video on grinding (how you smooth out the picks from the stilts and the glaze drips?
Love your work Vaughan. I have a question about the fish. Do you leave them outside all winter, or pull them off the building? Thank you so much for all the information you share.
Looks like you mainly do high fire. Im afraid to use high fire anymore after my completely load kiln turned out very ugly colors & some pieces cracked. I'll send you pics, as you requested, to see what you think happened & hopefully how to correct them. But do you ever do low fire videos?
Great informative video! I love the copper/bronze glaze used on some of the fish. Can you tell me the manufacturer? I would love to purchase. Many thanks!
Sorry to bother you. Can you offer direction on where to find this book? I looked on your site and did not see it. There are several choices on Amazon, but I’m am unsure which is correct. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Do you glaze your edges on your fish? How do you prevent glaze from flowing on your kiln shelves? I’m new at pottery and I’m learning Handbuilding now. I have 2 fish that I’m glazing today as I watch your video.❤
If it is something unusual that I have never done then it is only fair that the customer takes some of the risk too. What they visualize and what I imagine they are visualizing are usually different. Listen to your red flags in the brain.
Really like those fish ❤ the Temmu gold with variegated Blue and oatmeal are stunning even without the gold flecks ❤❤
Your work is fantastic, and your generosity in sharing all of your knowledge is much appreciated ❤
Wow, such beautiful pieces!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Those fish are wonderful and the bowl at 5:25 looks like the northern lights around the outside.
Love the fish.

Thanks Freddie.

My gosh every pot is so perfect!!

Hi, Vaughan. Thank you so much for your detailed breakdown of your pricing. It's such a service to other makers.
Love the copper bronze
Thank you for answering so quickly
Wonderful 🎉
Colors of your fish are gorgeous!! And the textures & patterns stunning... seems like some of them should be more than the 30.00 range..

Oh sure wish I was closer to Newfoundland! Would love to do your workshop. Safe travels and watch out for those Newfies!!
Oh how I wish I could take your class

Thanks for appreciating the videos, fish are fun to make.
Oh shoot, I missed this video with your class.
Hope you'll be doing others after the holidays
Krásné, moc krásné 😉😉👌👌

Sounds great, the fish might crack with the thermal shock.
Gorgeous

I have shown these aspects before but will do so again soon. Thanks.
You have done a video on grinding? I will go through your vids again and see if I can find it. @@Vsmithpots
How do you hang your fish do you put screws in yhe holes or something more atractiv love your work
I use small grey screws that are hard to see. If you hang them outside in noreasters they have to be screwed down tight.
Love your work Vaughan. I have a question about the fish. Do you leave them outside all winter, or pull them off the building?
Thank you so much for all the information you share.
I leave them out all winter, -26C last winter

I have learned so much y watching your videos. What I want to know is what you use to sign your pottery?
paint brush and LUG1 underglaze from Amaco
Great informative video! I love the copper/bronze glaze used on some of the fish. Can you tell me the manufacturer? I would love to purchase.
Many thanks!
It is in Cone 6 Glazes book.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
I can send you a photo from my glaze book, email me at (vsmithpots@eastlink.ca)@@karentracy2180
Very inspiring work! Wow! How many hours a day? What cone do you glaze fire at?
Cone 6, we work 8 hours a day but work every day, we love what we do.
@@Vsmithpots I can tell you do!

I sponge stamp the glaze on them so it does not go over the edges.
I will look for that in you glazing fish video. Thank you! Wish I could be in a class of yours someday!
Do you take a non refundable deposit when you do commission pieces? I had a request today

Can you tell me what these prices are in US Dollars?
