    I want to build a pair of these ! Far superior to today’s speakers. Love those horns !

    I'm not a big fan of horns but I must say theses are amazing. Off axis treble is still there! The acoustic thingies on the tweeters seem to do their job. Most impressive. The BEST horns I heard on UA-cam! Thumbs up.

    your system sound amazing. This kind of reproduction with ''monsters'' is the only way approaching the real acoustical dynamic in real life. Bravo!!!

    I sounds better off axis cos of those acoustic lens things on the tweeters. From front on, they are blocking the treble, but not when off axis and from a low standpoint. What I would do is experiment in a different size hole in the acoustic lens, right on axis with the tweeter. Making the hole bigger or smaller to get the right balance. Just saying, cos I can hear the difference even on UA-cam.

    LIVE SOUND -- I WAS GOING TO BUILD THE PARRAGON, BUT THE SIZE WAS JUST TO BIG -- WITH THE LA SCALA YOU HAVE THE SIZE IN TWO PIECES- GREAT SET -- HOW MUCH DOES THE SAND HELP,

    I don't know if it's the camera mic freq resp but I suspect this system needs to be flatter. It sounds peaky maybe around 4-6kHz? It also sounds bloomy around 100Hz.

    • @Justwantahover
      @Justwantahover 4 роки тому

      But they seem to go nice and high, a lot of horns are too strong in the med to hear the upper treble. Or their camera's are "muffly". Most likely. My camera peaks at like 10 k, but that;'s better than none at that frequency. The room looks a bit reflective too. And I noticed front on isn't quite as crisp as off axis (just by a minute bit). Those acoustic slats on the tweeter spread the treble incredibly well but needs tweaking for front on sound. A small hole in it or something.

    those are visually some stunning cabinets. wowie zowie. all the wood trim matches everywhere. very nice.
    how do you change out those tweeter drivers from the other video you have ? now thats a trick. these look better w/ the diffuser, but do you like them more or less than the other ones.

      ist ein offener 35 qm Raum, da gehts noch 2 Stockwerke nach oben, also genug Raum für die 4 Klipschen.
      Am "sweet spot" hab ich bei 28 Hz vollen Pegel gemessen.

      So many people on UA-cam make it obvious they know absolutely nothing about speakers or high fi! You cant judge a speaker by what you hear on UA-cam you moron! The highs are too high! Get back to square one. What ever happend to people that really know sound; I think they got left back in the 70's and 80's.

    It's beyond me why anyone would want to own some big fat ugly monstrosity of a speaker like this. All you need is a tablet and an excellent pair of headphones and you're Set. Giant loudspeakers are a waste of fucking space and are dinosaurs from the past.

      I recognize the young ''arrogance''. Take your time , dont judge, ...and get musical experience with time. Headphone are VERY far from natural music experience. This kind of reproduction with ''monsters'' is the only way approaching the real acoustical dynamic in real life. But yes you can love sound experience in headphone, but learn what is music. Merci
