Loved this video! I am not surprised… if anyone could redo a poisoned garden in a few weeks it is the woman I call my friend Constance❤ I am so thrilled for you. My heart is so Happy 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I remember Impossible Pie from the 70's. We always got excited when my Mom made it. There was a pumpkin version as well as the original coconut custard. I'll have to look through my Mom's old recipe cards.
I use leaves an pine needles all the time. My garden plants an vegetables are doing great. Last February we got a freeze an had to chop the tops off my banana trees. I took all the leaves an starks layered them under our fig tree. The figs are now as big as our hand. They are like eating honey on fruit. Outstanding. Will be doing that every year now.
I love your garden tours! Bring me so much joy! I remember you loving the Kajari melons. I am trying them this year for the first time, after seeing you say how good they are!!
I grow asparagus, I have a 300 gallon water trough, we cut the bottom out. My original bed is about a decade old. I planted seeds last fall and have the new generation popping up now.
We went yesterday to collect rocks for our elderberry trees. Your garden is beautiful, glad you were able to re-establish it. I learn so much from you. Thank you for sharing
Impossible Pie is my very first recipe I ever made... It makes its own crust!! 😅😋 6th grade Home Economics class in 1976 😁 It's still one of my all-time favorites and I still make it to this day... Introducing it to my children & grandchildren through the years of course. 💞 We were also gardening today. Got it all in the ground and it feels so good to finally have it all planted 🌱 Have a wonderful blessed day in our LORD JESUS CHRIST sis 🙏🏼🕊️ All my love ☺️
I also watch Whippoorwill Holler. Such a great show. I’ve been making that Impossible Coconut Pie since 1990 when a Baptist pastor’s wife gave me the recipe. Always delicious.
Hello!! I only recently discovered your channel but I’m so glad I did! We have lots in common. For instance, I grew up in Pencil Bluff!! Man I sure miss home ❤.
I put my eggplant by my established herb garden. It was the only bed unaffected by the herbicide because I don't put anything on my herb garden to begin with, thank goodness! So I am taking note to see if my eggplant has less pests this year.
I'm glad to hear your talk about growing tomatoes in the southern heat. My sister just moved from SD to Florida to retire. Her husband is having trouble growing tomatoes in zone 9. So planting earlier in the season and using shade cloth might help is what I hear you saying? That rock bed is very cute. I wish I had some rocks like that.
Yes an earlier garden season for certain, and shade cloth is extremely helpful. In Alabama (and here) I am in garden zone 7b. But that really only refers to plant survivability in the winter for perennials. The summers are very hot. But we do have a very long growing season. I will often start a second round of tomatoes to plant for a late summer garden. You just have to make sure the average time for you to get produce would be before the first frost.
I wanted to come back here and add that she may want to check out David the Good. He gardens in southern Alabama near the border of Florida, and talks about the challenges of growing in that zone. She may glean some great pointers! www.youtube.com/@davidthegood
Your asparagus looks great, as does the rest of the garden. I bought strawberries from MI Gardener this year. Only two came up. I was so mad! Several years ago, I bought them from him and they all came up but one. When we moved to ARkansas, I pulled up all my strawberries, I started with 25 two years prior and pulled out over 300 plants. I gave people so many and still had enough to get my own garden started here. Those finally reached the end of their lifespan last year and I had to start new this year. Well...I thought I would be. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. Wish they had money back guarantees.
Constance, I use in several of my garden beds shredded pine shavings directly from Xylos. They shred pine trees, and the shavings have not caused any problems (and don't have anything on them, no chemicals). The temperature in this part of Oklahoma is 96 degrees. A bit warm for this time of year. I have shade cloth, it's going up in the next day or so. I'm happy to see you have your beds going again. The plants you purchased should do well in these beds. Oh good on you girl for using the large rock from the creek to create garden beds, along with the leaves, and pine needles.
I enjoyed the tour of your garden today Constance! Your a hard worker like i am! My first little garden this year and i just picked my first squash. I thought they were hard to slice and i picked them young and tender...any advice for a little softer squash?
Could you share a few Israeli melon seeds with me too. It's my first year of gardening. Everything is doing well. My address is: Carol Fortuna 960 C.R. 229 Thorsby, AL 35171. Thank you!
Love the rock beds. Very interesting that you grow Hyssop. Didn't know we could grow it in the south. Garden looks great! We got asparagus from MIGARDENER too. Excited to have it🥰 Happy growing season!
I don't know if this will help with finding and/or identifying your Israeli melon seeds. You showed us them and talked a while about them in your video when you were planting your starters. You also put all your seed packets together in a couple of piles and rubber banded them together and I believe you stated you would be waiting to plant your Israeli seeds until a little later and added it to the pile. I wish you luck.
NWOS... may I ask where y'all filmed this podcast? Obviously, not the tiny house, and Willie mentioned being on the road for a week. Just curious. 💜 Geaux Tigers!
These are a "skort" so there are built-in shorts underneath. But I do also use an herbal bug spray to try help prevent them. I use a variety of them, some homemade, some bought.
I have Israeli melon seed. And now that you said a viewer sent them it kinda seems like I sent you some one time. If you send me your add. I will send some more.

I agree .... i knew she could do it...
Thank you 😊
I can not stay out of Sharum’s. Every time I think I’m done. I’m on my way back. The ladies laugh at me. 😂
LOL! I love that place
Green thumbs never go hungry.

Praise God. Yippie
Everything is looking so good Constance 😍
Garden looks great - Roselle likes full sun
It has full sun during the day. This was filmed closer to sunset, so the sun was behind the trees.
I use leaves an pine needles all the time. My garden plants an vegetables are doing great. Last February we got a freeze an had to chop the tops off my banana trees. For mulching leaves, you can also put leaves in a bucket or tote and chop them with a weedeater. If you don't have a mower with a bag.
Praying the coming storms miss you. God Bless
Thank you! We did get some needed rain. Got some hail too, but nothing too bad here.
I love your garden tours! Bring me so much joy!
I remember you loving the Kajari melons. I am trying them this year for the first time, after seeing you say how good they are!!
Thank you :) You'll have to let me know what you think of them!
I grow asparagus, I have a 300 gallon water trough, we cut the bottom out. My original bed is about a decade old. I planted seeds last fall and have the new generation popping up now.
Thank you for the garden tour. I loved it. You are a busy lady! God Bless
I live in South Florida. We build homes with cinder blocks to help retain the cool.
We went yesterday to collect rocks for our elderberry trees.
Your garden is beautiful, glad you were able to re-establish it. I learn so much from you. Thank you for sharing
What a blessed day!☀️🌼☀️

I am so excited that this Grason deal didn't slow you down! Totally awesome! This didn't catch God by surprise. Besides, that pie sounds nummy
I have made the coconut pie for years. You'll love it.
Love Miss Lori. Her videos are calming just like your's.
Oh thank you!

Thank you for the tour of your lovely garden!

Looks so nice !❤

Another great video. Look for your seed packet under one of your trays. It could be stuck to the bottom. I have done that before.
In Indiana I mostly got my tomatoes in late August and September. They didn’t fruit in the heat, but took off when the heat let up….

Oh no! That is terrible :( How disappointing

Where did you get your asparagus? Would you lost the varieties of your beans. Not sure what you said *halfrunner?
Thanks!
The beans are called NT half-runners, and the asparagus came from MI Gardener :)
Ok how do you wear a skirt and keep the ticks off?
These are a "skort" so there are built-in shorts underneath. But I do also use an herbal bug spray to try help prevent them. I use a variety of them, some homemade, some bought.
