    Double comparatives... The hotter/sooner the better. The quicker you walk the faster you go. I am having a party the more the merrier. the more students we have the more fun we have. Or more interesting it is. It is getting bigger and bigger. I hope you are learning more and more every day. Coffee is better when it is strong., (the stronger it is the better it is).

      I'm from the midwest. I have a Chicago accent, but I've lived in Minneapolis for the last 30 years, so some of the Minnesota accent has surely rubbed off on me.

    The less you know, the better you sleep. Thanks, Paul. What happened with you bike? Has it been stolen? Why do you need a new one?

      I've owned many bikes throughout my life. Three have been stolen, but not recently. I just used that as an example.

    Could you make time to make videos in English tense? I have a big trouble with these topics.

      Do a search on my channel. You should be able to find just about anything related to English grammar, including verb tenses.

    The more I see you, the merrier I get

    • @Learnamericanenglishonline
      @Learnamericanenglishonline  2 місяці тому

      Well, you could say that if you are just joking around, but the example I provided is a set expression. When there are a lot of people at present or expected, you simply say, "the more, the merrier."
