The Rasa Aragonesa sheep. Aragón, Spain

The Rasa Aragonesa sheep is raised in the middle valley of the Ebro river, extending widely through the provinces of Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. It is an expanding breed that has been used to whiten flocks of black sheep from Teruel, Royas bilbilitanas and Xisquetas. It is characterized by its white coloration. Some farmers call them "palomas"
This sheep, along with the ojinegra of Teruel and the Roya bilbilitana are the base of the famous Ternasco de Aragón.
