Good afternoon ! I am coming from Hong Kong. I will go to Hasami Matsuri with my family by next week. If I go to Hasami by Shin-Kansen from Hakata. Pls advise which station to get off is better.
Thank you for scheduling a trip to the Hasami Pottery Festival. The Hasami Pottery Festival will be held from April 29 to May 5. If you are taking the Shinkansen, first take the "Relay Kamome" express train from Hakata, which allows you to transfer to the Shinkansen, to Takeo Onsen Station. Then transfer to the West Kyushu Shinkansen "Kamome" at the same platform and head for Ureshino Onsen Station. From Ureshino Onsen Station, there are few buses heading to Hasami, so renting a car is convenient. If you do not use the Shinkansen, you can take a highway bus from Hakata Station directly to Hasami Arita Interchange. From the Hasami Arita Interchange, you can charter a cab. The express train also goes directly to the neighboring town of Arita, and during the Hasami Pottery Festival, a paid shuttle bus runs from near Arita Station to Hasami-cho. Please note that the roads in Hasami-cho are very busy during the pottery festival. If you are more interested in Hasami-cho, please watch this channel's English video "Hasami, the pottery town in western Japan".
Thank you for your information! Is it available to take Midori (Sasaho yuki). Then, get off at Arita Station and renting a car from Arita Station to Yakimono Garden. It seems better to the foreigner!
Thanks for your reply. I too think the best way is to take the Midori limited express train to Sasebo and go to Arita station and rent a car from there!
