The guy has it all, healing, breaking, generating sp, even dishing out laughable amount of damages with even more ridiculous build path, but still somewhat reasonable. To be fair, I’m not complaining though. Always appreciate the dev for giving people cheap units that can be utilized in so many ways that players will never tired of investing in them.
There is other ways to use him besides full damage dealer setup? Guy can do up to 300k+ super break burst while being a healer so why wouldn't you abuse that? :D
@@nolanj.3897you're assuming Sparkle uses her skill everyturn. If she use her Basic everyturn, technically she can provide 7 skill point per 3 turn, or ≈2,3 skill point per 1 turn. Much higher than Gallagher
@@lily-_- I'm just sayin'. Sparkle can theoretically generate more than Gallgher. Sure, only a madman would play her like that, but it doesn't change the fact that she's technically still the most sp positive character ever.
To be fair currently she looks more like a sidegrade to him than an upgrade (she has more aoe breaking and healing but generates less sp). So Gallagher might still be situationally better with E0 ff and Boothill + Bronya teams will likely prefer him. Also he applies more debuffs if you use him with Acheron or Ratio (generally if you don’t have Aven or he’s wanted for another team).

Also vs a st elite or boss his break damage is similar and she offers little to no advantage over Gallagher. Yeah Lingsha is great in pf if everything is fire weak but I don’t think that’s in any way realistic. Also ff isn’t good in pf to begin with so we wouldn’t have a fantastic super break team to use unless again everything is fire weak and you also use Himeko. There’s both a lot of hype and doomposting for her when I think sometimes she’s better and sometimes she’s worse. In pure st I’d argue she’s just worse since her sp can instead go to Hmc using their skill for large super break dmg in st. Of course in large aoe if the enemies can be consistently fire weak she better, ff only applies fire weak to her main target so they will often have to be innately fire weak and situations where at least 1/2 or 2/3 elites are innately fire weak will help get the most value from her kit, since ff can give it to the one that isn’t and get your break damage going as fast as possible. Of course this is based on her current kit, which will likely see some changes before it’s released.

Robin is really good skipping her is not a great idea. She's a direct upgrade to Tigyun with team wide advance forward while still giving a hefty attack boost. Cherry on top is her buff to follow ups making her universally one of if not the strongest supports right now.

Sushang or Asta guide when? They're some of the few characters without dedicated guides on this channel, which is a shame as i think they're both quite good. Shoutouts to Sushang being probably the first break/hybrid crit-break dps in the game, long before Xueyi, Boothill, and Firefly.
im using the effect res lc on him rn and its honestly such a nice qol having him at 95% effect res. dont think hes ever been cc'd or taken a dot since i put that on him. IMO its an underrated pick
Incredibly good vidya, was actually having some minor issues with balancing and building my gallagher so this definitely helps. Also, call it the Thousand Cuts Team.
But Gallagher's Self sustain was never in Doubt tho. He basically gets a free Talent proc just from casting Burst, then followed up with another Enhanced Basic that also proc the talent. Unless you built him with an ATK% Chest and ATK% planar...would likely be the scenario of his "death".
My Gallagher does just fine, it's just that if I have better options available then maybe it's worth considering to upgrade, it's not like his signature is going to disappear from my inventory. I'll do my own tests with my teams
I've been using Gallagher with Post-op purely for the energy gains with a er rope and Vonwaq. The healing is consistently high in break teams and being able to ult every 4 basics is both satisfying and allows for such an overflow of SP. Maybe I'll replace Vonwaq with Forge purely for the speed. Also makes an incredible Shifu with March, especially with her on subdps with Firefly if you don't have RuanMei available.
I have the same build and reasoning with my Gallagher. I've already replaced vonwaq with Kalpagni and he is now at 164 spd. He's going nuts with those basics and heal uptime. or maybe it's just the alcohol he's been having. I haven't tried Multiplication for faster sp regen because I have FF at E1 so I don't see the reason to generate more sp than I use.
I regret getting Boothill. He competes for Firefly supports and she is far superior. I wish I got Robin instead even though I do not really use follow up characters that much other than Himeko and Herta.
@@AzureDrag0n1 lol I put FF and Boothill in the same team with RMei and HMC, and they cleared the current MoC 12 floor with Argenti boss in 0 cycle without taking any damage. FF does need to be E1 to fix the sp problem tho.
@@Briezar I actually tried that and there was no difference in clear speed from using Gallagher. They were both 0 cycles. I tried in a few more fights and there was no difference in performance from Gallagher. It was always the same cycle clear speed.
Can you do an in depth guide on the Robin Gallagher Bronya team? I don't know what the actual requirements are because I've seen so many different builds, especially on Bronya (some use Vonwacq, some don't have DDD, some run Hackerspace)
Several sources say the LC What Is Real dosn't provide utility, but if you haven't hit the 150% BE break point, it gives Outgoing Healing with his A2 Trace.
Idk what Lingsha does but Gallagher is pretty comfortable to play with due to him getting SP without doing anything complicated on top of the ridiculous toughness damage. To me looks like an opportunity to stock up some jades.
I just decided to build Gallagher today (something of a generalist so I can use him on any team) and I somehow got 5 spd subrolls on one piece, giving me exactly the minimum speed needed to meet Guoba's suggestion.
I dunno if you look at leaks or info on the units, but I think Gallagher on the feixiao follow up team would work really really well. I know he'd more or less be a substitute for aventurine, but my thoughts were running him with moze, feixiao, and robin, with him on high speed breakpoint and multiplication. itd build moze and feixiao stacks well and works somewhat with your chip idea

after f-ing around and not finding out why my e6 gallagher is dying, this video has been enlightning, thank you master Guoba for sharing this wisdom, also my speed has been at around 100 and i focused too much on break and should be going for energy as well. 160 speed...my rolls rarely go to speed...
Oh, perfect timing. I was just starting to finally build a break team thanks to March 8th. Never actually considered QPQ on him, holy shit. Still using Multi though, I want the extra turns. Kind of unrelated, but what's the proper way to speed-tune for Sparkle and a fast DPS? Is it just -1 speed like with Bronya, even though her AA is weaker than Bronya?
My 100 speed Clara can be forwarded with a 166 speed Sparkle....unless Clara gets CC delayed hard. But probably it's also because of my Tingyun's 4Pc messenger set and Her Speed Increasing Buff on her Eidolons, that be a factor too. Edit: sorry I didn't see the "Fast DPS" part. Nevermind what I said
I'll have to give QPQ a try. I usually have him in Team Firefly where that won't do a lot of work, but when I have to swap him over to Team Ratio I could see it helping push damage faster.
Also, in Acheron team Gallagher is able to use the 3 star Fruit LC to fix SW slow startup, with this LC Pela can easily ult on first turn and SW will be able to do E-Ult
Spoiler/leaks: The funny thing abt that last team is that it's one of Feixiao's better teams if you don't have Topaz and Aventurine. The tech I saw on the Feixiao mains subreddit was QPQ Gallagher and advancing him with Bronya skill to ensure Robin ult Uptime.
Hey Guoba, been a big fan of how you structure your content and how thorough your are! Was wondering if you anticipate doing guides or at least mentioning character value in conundrum 12 gold and gears/divergence 6 divergent universe? For ppl like me where clearing MOC/PF/Apoc shadow is easy but finding units to handle the absolute hardest stuff in Sim Uni is most relevant. Either way I still really enjoy watching your stuff!
My thought was mostly something like how Gallagher is extremely strong as an offensive sustain but lacks the defensive power needed to avoid getting one-shot without specific blessings. But I'd completely understand if that becomes tedious with more nuanced characters and not worth your time
I’ve had to rebuild my gallagher a solid few times bc I fear his ERR just isn’t enough for the rotations + his speed is lacking a lot, but the moment I swap around his relics to prioritize it, it goes downhill u__u this is still super helpful though, especially since I have him at E6!
Hopefully you can include a section in your future Lingsha guide (if you make one) whether it's worth pulling for her if a person has a well-built E6 Gallagher. thanks!
The top two sustains I use now are Aventurine and Gallagher. But the new MoC 12 boss (the other one we have faced before in MoC, AS, and PF) in 2.5 may be too tough for Gallagher to keep everyone alive, unless you're willing to reset many times. Aventurine is the best sustain for that new MoC 12 boss.
I would really like it if you made a video about the new Light Cone. I think that if the Light Cone can make Gallagher better than E0S0 Lingsha then it will be the better pull for most people (especially when facing a 50/50 or 75/25), which I think will be really important information.

I actually really like my comfort build for Gallagher. 100%+ eff res so I never have to worry, S5 Perfect Timing so his heals hit so hard he can put Tingyun's neck back together. Literally full heals the team from red with his enhanced basic. Even with this he's at 138 speed and 120% BE before battle. Then there are MC and RM buffs on top of that he benefits from just as much as FF does. I'm not even surprised anymore when my healer deals 300k+ damage in an ult combo. Bro is just him, basically 6* sustain on super break teams!
I've seen that Bronya/Robin/Gallagher team with a few different DPS and it's nuts. Makes me wish I had Bronya and Robin to try it, lol. Seems like something that is going to be super versatile and a good core for a long time, like RAT and Super break.
I hope that I can get Gallagher E2 soon. I only have E1 because of the 2 event selections. 😢 He's so fun, but no cleanse is rough sometimes. In the meantime, I'm gonna go build the QPQ light cone! Thanks for the video!

Huh. Gallagher is probably my most used Abundance and I've been using him with a 4 piece Thief set with 2 piece Forge Planars with the What is Real? Lightcone as s5 and he's been doing well in my eyes. But this video really has given me something to consider. Appreciate it. (But now i wonder if my current build is technically bad... I'm still new to H:SR so I really have no idea XD)
His signature LC has been very helpful for me since it gives insane break effect which makes building him easier and for sum reason enemies always target him but thanks to his LC he full heals with just basic attack he's a immortal tank that can dish out DPS level of damage in firefly team I don't need lingsha or those other LC because my current gallagar does what is best for the team My E6 harmony MC and ruan mei with memories of the past S5 doesn't have energy issues and firefly regens her ult every 2 turn anyway which she's already fast af however I do want to upgrade my relic set for him
I’ve always wanted to be able to use him in other teams besides my FF team but he’s glued to her so Lingsha coming means I can finally free him up for use elsewhere. I don’t need all the extra SP he provides as an E1 FF haver but bro is so good he’d still be great for any fight with fire weakness.
Lingsha looks like Gallagher power creep, but her utility outside of break teams seems pretty lacking at least with this iteration. Unless you want BIS break team I don't see her value over Huohuo, but maybe I am incorrect. Sadly I do want BIS Acheron team so I got to pull Nerfqiu, pray for me 😢

fun fact gallagher at e1 is the highest eff res character as of 2.4 (with e1 and max traces) he has 78 eff res because traces gives 28 and e1 gives 50 with the highest sp frequency i would say lingsha (from the leaks also) won't be moving gallagher out of the break team truth be told she has fua healing with aoe cleanse but you need firefly e1 to be sp possitive and use firefly skill consistently with gallagher you don't firefly's e1 and still deal stupid dmg

Sushang or Asta guide when? They're some of the few characters without dedicated guides on this channel, which is a shame as i think they're both quite good. Shoutouts to Sushang being probably the first break/hybrid crit-break dps in the game, long before Xueyi, Boothill, and Firefly.

im using the effect res lc on him rn and its honestly such a nice qol having him at 95% effect res. dont think hes ever been cc'd or taken a dot since i put that on him. IMO its an underrated pick

He’s perfectly fine with it, so who cares. Even self healing was needed sometimes so to not waste skill on healing 💀
But Gallagher's Self sustain was never in Doubt tho.
He basically gets a free Talent proc just from casting Burst, then followed up with another Enhanced Basic that also proc the talent.
Unless you built him with an ATK% Chest and ATK% planar...would likely be the scenario of his "death".
My Gallagher does just fine, it's just that if I have better options available then maybe it's worth considering to upgrade, it's not like his signature is going to disappear from my inventory. I'll do my own tests with my teams

I've been using Gallagher with Post-op purely for the energy gains with a er rope and Vonwaq. The healing is consistently high in break teams and being able to ult every 4 basics is both satisfying and allows for such an overflow of SP. Maybe I'll replace Vonwaq with Forge purely for the speed. Also makes an incredible Shifu with March, especially with her on subdps with Firefly if you don't have RuanMei available.
I have the same build and reasoning with my Gallagher. I've already replaced vonwaq with Kalpagni and he is now at 164 spd. He's going nuts with those basics and heal uptime. or maybe it's just the alcohol he's been having. I haven't tried Multiplication for faster sp regen because I have FF at E1 so I don't see the reason to generate more sp than I use.
I never expected Guoba would shame me for losing the Robin 50/50 in the Gallagher video, of all places. 💀

I regret getting Boothill. He competes for Firefly supports and she is far superior. I wish I got Robin instead even though I do not really use follow up characters that much other than Himeko and Herta.
@@AzureDrag0n1 lol I put FF and Boothill in the same team with RMei and HMC, and they cleared the current MoC 12 floor with Argenti boss in 0 cycle without taking any damage. FF does need to be E1 to fix the sp problem tho.
@@Briezar I actually tried that and there was no difference in clear speed from using Gallagher. They were both 0 cycles. I tried in a few more fights and there was no difference in performance from Gallagher. It was always the same cycle clear speed.

I don't know what the actual requirements are because I've seen so many different builds, especially on Bronya (some use Vonwacq, some don't have DDD, some run Hackerspace)

Several sources say the LC What Is Real dosn't provide utility, but if you haven't hit the 150% BE break point, it gives Outgoing Healing with his A2 Trace.
if using Multiplication or Post op (high superimposition) it allows Gallagher to use Break Rope. and 64.8 > 48 unfortunately.
I'm just so glad that when I saw the potential in Gallagher on release other than being "Luocha at home" is getting more and more true.

Idk what Lingsha does but Gallagher is pretty comfortable to play with due to him getting SP without doing anything complicated on top of the ridiculous toughness damage.

I just decided to build Gallagher today (something of a generalist so I can use him on any team) and I somehow got 5 spd subrolls on one piece, giving me exactly the minimum speed needed to meet Guoba's suggestion.
I dunno if you look at leaks or info on the units, but I think Gallagher on the feixiao follow up team would work really really well. I know he'd more or less be a substitute for aventurine, but my thoughts were running him with moze, feixiao, and robin, with him on high speed breakpoint and multiplication. itd build moze and feixiao stacks well and works somewhat with your chip idea
Feixiao and Moze are out on CE Server, got vids on them, and yeah hes great for her :)

after f-ing around and not finding out why my e6 gallagher is dying, this video has been enlightning, thank you master Guoba for sharing this wisdom, also my speed has been at around 100 and i focused too much on break and should be going for energy as well. 160 speed...my rolls rarely go to speed...

Kind of unrelated, but what's the proper way to speed-tune for Sparkle and a fast DPS? Is it just -1 speed like with Bronya, even though her AA is weaker than Bronya?
My 100 speed Clara can be forwarded with a 166 speed Sparkle....unless Clara gets CC delayed hard.
But probably it's also because of my Tingyun's 4Pc messenger set and Her Speed Increasing Buff on her Eidolons, that be a factor too.

I'll have to give QPQ a try. I usually have him in Team Firefly where that won't do a lot of work, but when I have to swap him over to Team Ratio I could see it helping push damage faster.
Also, in Acheron team Gallagher is able to use the 3 star Fruit LC to fix SW slow startup, with this LC Pela can easily ult on first turn and SW will be able to do E-Ult

The funny thing abt that last team is that it's one of Feixiao's better teams if you don't have Topaz and Aventurine. The tech I saw on the Feixiao mains subreddit was QPQ Gallagher and advancing him with Bronya skill to ensure Robin ult Uptime.
Hey Guoba, been a big fan of how you structure your content and how thorough your are! Was wondering if you anticipate doing guides or at least mentioning character value in conundrum 12 gold and gears/divergence 6 divergent universe? For ppl like me where clearing MOC/PF/Apoc shadow is easy but finding units to handle the absolute hardest stuff in Sim Uni is most relevant. Either way I still really enjoy watching your stuff!

My thought was mostly something like how Gallagher is extremely strong as an offensive sustain but lacks the defensive power needed to avoid getting one-shot without specific blessings. But I'd completely understand if that becomes tedious with more nuanced characters and not worth your time
I’ve had to rebuild my gallagher a solid few times bc I fear his ERR just isn’t enough for the rotations + his speed is lacking a lot, but the moment I swap around his relics to prioritize it, it goes downhill u__u this is still super helpful though, especially since I have him at E6!
Hopefully you can include a section in your future Lingsha guide (if you make one) whether it's worth pulling for her if a person has a well-built E6 Gallagher. thanks!
The top two sustains I use now are Aventurine and Gallagher.
But the new MoC 12 boss (the other one we have faced before in MoC, AS, and PF) in 2.5 may be too tough for Gallagher to keep everyone alive, unless you're willing to reset many times.
Aventurine is the best sustain for that new MoC 12 boss.
I would really like it if you made a video about the new Light Cone. I think that if the Light Cone can make Gallagher better than E0S0 Lingsha then it will be the better pull for most people (especially when facing a 50/50 or 75/25), which I think will be really important information.

I actually really like my comfort build for Gallagher. 100%+ eff res so I never have to worry, S5 Perfect Timing so his heals hit so hard he can put Tingyun's neck back together. Literally full heals the team from red with his enhanced basic. Even with this he's at 138 speed and 120% BE before battle. Then there are MC and RM buffs on top of that he benefits from just as much as FF does. I'm not even surprised anymore when my healer deals 300k+ damage in an ult combo. Bro is just him, basically 6* sustain on super break teams!

I've seen that Bronya/Robin/Gallagher team with a few different DPS and it's nuts. Makes me wish I had Bronya and Robin to try it, lol. Seems like something that is going to be super versatile and a good core for a long time, like RAT and Super break.
I hope that I can get Gallagher E2 soon. I only have E1 because of the 2 event selections. 😢 He's so fun, but no cleanse is rough sometimes. In the meantime, I'm gonna go build the QPQ light cone! Thanks for the video!

As someone who doesn't have nor want Aventurine, I'm definitely looking at Lingsha. Especially since I'm def pulling for Feixiao.
I gave Gallagher all the Iron Cavalry gear that didn't roll quite good enough for Firefly. I am not disappointed in that decision.

Also a blessing if you somehow have E6 bronya and can manage to forcefeed Robin's ultimate back before Concerto ends so you can abuse the 2 turn buff from Bronya E6

Huh. Gallagher is probably my most used Abundance and I've been using him with a 4 piece Thief set with 2 piece Forge Planars with the What is Real? Lightcone as s5 and he's been doing well in my eyes. But this video really has given me something to consider. Appreciate it. (But now i wonder if my current build is technically bad... I'm still new to H:SR so I really have no idea XD)

His signature LC has been very helpful for me since it gives insane break effect which makes building him easier and for sum reason enemies always target him but thanks to his LC he full heals with just basic attack he's a immortal tank that can dish out DPS level of damage in firefly team I don't need lingsha or those other LC because my current gallagar does what is best for the team
My E6 harmony MC and ruan mei with memories of the past S5 doesn't have energy issues and firefly regens her ult every 2 turn anyway which she's already fast af however I do want to upgrade my relic set for him

I’ve always wanted to be able to use him in other teams besides my FF team but he’s glued to her so Lingsha coming means I can finally free him up for use elsewhere. I don’t need all the extra SP he provides as an E1 FF haver but bro is so good he’d still be great for any fight with fire weakness.

Lingsha looks like Gallagher power creep, but her utility outside of break teams seems pretty lacking at least with this iteration. Unless you want BIS break team I don't see her value over Huohuo, but maybe I am incorrect. Sadly I do want BIS Acheron team so I got to pull Nerfqiu, pray for me 😢

would be nice if you would make videos whenever new plenar sets release showing for which units these sets are the new best in slot. For example I´m still confused which is best for topaz since the new follow up one looks really strong and now there is a new set coming up that could be better for her. I would like to know when new planers release who benefits them :)

fun fact gallagher at e1 is the highest eff res character as of 2.4 (with e1 and max traces) he has 78 eff res because traces gives 28 and e1 gives 50
with the highest sp frequency i would say lingsha (from the leaks also) won't be moving gallagher out of the break team
truth be told she has fua healing with aoe cleanse
but you need firefly e1 to be sp possitive and use firefly skill consistently
with gallagher you don't firefly's e1 and still deal stupid dmg
