I got the same shock pump with my new bike. It s great. I wouldn’t have bought it , but it was included with my bike purchase. Now I wouldn’t go back to a none digital one.
My favourite item is the Specialized Stem Tool. It’s awesome .

@@RideEatWander it is. I use it a lot. It s really convenient. It s a little overpriced in my opinion but so is everything in MTB...🤦🏼‍♂️

76 Projects Piggy pouch is really well engineered. Especially if your frame has an extra set of bottle cage bosses. Holds my Blackburn Wayside tool, topeak power levers, a c02 plus inflator, and my DIY stans dart plugger.
I've recently discovered Squirt chain lube. It's been amazing. Super quiet drivetrain and less gunk collected.
Crank brothers Speedier Tire lever. Too big to carry on a ride, but amazing at home. The hook for installation is a game changer and the grip is so much better than Pedro's.
Not really an accessory, but I really like RVCA sport shirts. I wait for them to go on sale and pick em up for like $35. They vent well and dry fast. I prefer the ones without huge branding and that's also why I avoid mtb specific jerseys.

I think we just became bike brothers! So many things I agree with you. I love 76 projects products and have been curious about the piggy. Does it bulge out the sides much?
Interesting on the chain lube I will have to check it out.
I am currently rocking the cushcore tire lever and would highly recommend giving that a look. That will certainly make my part 2.
My favorite riding shirt is a RVCA sport vent short sleeve. I’ll be looking for some Black Friday sales for sure.
      Cheers man!

      @@RideEatWander Whaaaat that's crazy, haha.
The piggy does bulge out on the sides depending on the bike. My frame has a tiny front triangle so I have it pushed all the way in the nook by the headtube and it's definitely wider than the toptube. I've never made contact with it there. If you have it strapped to your toptube on a Santa Cruz frame I don't think it w bulge out enough to be an issue. I used to have the Wolftooth roll top bag and their b-rad system. It's a lot bulkier and you have to undo everything to get at your stuff.
I have the cushcore lever in my Amazon cart but I haven't felt the need for it yet. I used a filed down (to get rid of the sharp corners) plastic scraper to install my cushcore and it worked great. I cut the back end off and it's now my tool to adjust the rebound on my Jade coil. It sits too deep in my Rune V3 to adjust with my fingers.
Damn I never expected to hear that you run the RVCA stuff too. They really are great. I used to use their spectrum pants for riding until I got a pair of NF Berserkers.

O’Neal released new pants that I might try and they are a lot cheaper than fox which is what I normally run for the shorts. I like the rat he strap over the front design. Right now for pants I am trying out 686 Everything pants. Not rider specific but it has a lot of utility and you can go from ride to dine easily.

@@RideEatWander I wear pants year round unless it hits like 90 degrees. For ride and dine I really like the Handup pants. Worth a look when they go on sale.

My favorite mountain bike item is my SWAT box system in my 2021 Stumpjumper Evo 🤪 I am able to carry all my essential items without using a hydration backpack. That has made my rides way more enjoyable. Love the videos! 🤙🏽

The swat box is the single feature that could sway me from Santa Cruz. Crossing fingers that it catches on. Thanks for the props!

@@RideEatWander agree! All frames should have one 😂 maybe a patent issue?? Trek has one as well but heard some bad reviews .

Being specialized it wouldn’t surprise me but I think they could only patent the latch mechanism

An item that I use/carry (also inexpensive) is a bike strap to mount tube, CO2, etc. to the bike instead of carrying in my pack. Super handy and can be moved between bikes as needed or one for each!

My favorite mountain bike item is a one up edc tool that fits in your fork. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. Very convenient tool and serves many purposes.

4:52 it's not a tyre pump, it's a pressure gauge. I actually have a digital pump, it's Fumpa Pump, I have it with me in my backpack in thee tool compartment, it last for about 4 full sets of tyres
    www.fumpapumps.com/shop/fumpa/
I will eventually take picture of everything I have in my backpack tool compartment.

Great topic. I either have those exact items or something very similar. For the portable stand I have a feedback sports that uses the bottom bracket hole and and I have a stan’s dart for larger tire damage events.

Seen alot of mixed reviews on topeak gauge, sometimes I wonder if competition writes them? I take it you have had good luck with yours.

    • @RideEatWander
      @RideEatWander  3 роки тому

I have fact checked it with other brands for accuracy and to make sure the pressure is consistent. It’s within 1% of another digital gauge I have. That being said my buddy has the same gauge albeit older and his reads really low. But his doesn’t seal as well so as long as the seal doesn’t wear out and you get a good right read it’s been great

4:37 stands like these are not really secure enough, I've seen similar stuff in sports stores and bakeshops, very easy to cause a domino effect. I've seen much better solution that work with several wheel sizes.
