Honestly, I think they could've have fixed Deadshot with two changes: gunshots/bullets don't build meter/ he only gets meter from physical hits; Add in a reloading animation after his shots, so that they're unsafe. That way, he becomes high-risk, high-reward, and much more fair for other characters to fight.

@@nerdoftheseasonnwibani2456 Both. Deadshot was a top 3 character on release, and after all the nerfs he's bottom 5 (depending on who you ask and how knowledgeable they are, he's actually the worst character in the game).
I still find it hilarious they knew they had made Deadshot too good so they nerfed him into the ground.. only to make Starfire just as annoying to fight against, possibly just as bad if they're good enough with her. So they pretty much said "Yeah we know, we know we fixed it like you wanted... But if you want be a full zoner again here you go just pay extra."

Honestly, this is the problem with modern fighting games. You tend to have one dominant archtype. For Injustice 3, more characters either need more options against zoners, or cut back on them. Its always been an issue with NRS games.
A really good example of a zoner is Fate in this game. Near uncrackable zoning, godlike anti airs, amazing screen control. But, No pressure, no frametraps worth anything, and horrendous combo damage
Red Hood had an ability called akimbo blaze which allowed him to perform akimbo blue on the ground. This ended up being the most boring move in all of injustice 2 and makes him the most annoying zoner next to star fire in the game.
Idk man. The most annoying to me was the custom ability that let Dr. Fate’s orb track you. Idk who green lit that, but you couldn’t duck it. Couldn’t roll or jump it because it lasted too long. If you blocked it, you had to hold his next projectile. And combined with his other projectiles it built crazy meter. That move was ridiculous!
I disagreed with the nerf to Deadshot. I thought they should have kept the zoning as is, besides decreasing meter gain, and focused more on his strength up close. The crazy projectiles wouldn't have been as bad if he wasn't so good at mixing you up when you got in and sending you back fullscreen without blue bullets. Then he would have had a smidgen more personality then just another NRS zoner.
You should do a whole video on the curse of sonic fox after he picks up a nether realm character, how they’re actually not that op, then sonic plays them and they get nerfed to oblivion (dead shot obv, captain cold, Cassie, erron)
@@derrickcarbona9245 Jacqui is hated for different reasons, the biggest one was that you could not break away from her combos, because she didn't launch you, once the Jacqui player start the combo, there wasn't anything you could do expect put down the controller and watch him delete half your health bar her lack of good projectile was not an issue since excellent gap closer.
We have yet another thing to blame the suicide squad 2016 for. Because deadshot only made it in because of that movie. Deathstroke should’ve been the actual character. He’s more threatening, broader skill set/move set. Cooler design and less gun heavy but could still have the moves deadshot has. But you gotta have those movie/tv show characters. Gotta sing my praises for atrocious,enchantress,captain cold, supergirl and black canary though. Black canary was my main and I loved her gameplay. Those character could get copy pasted to injustice 3 and I’d be happy. Then some character need reworking like red hood to be more fun and even better
Yeah that's the thing about Deadshot. And I remember, about the time Injustice 2 was new, I was trying the game out and I also heard of Deadshot being OP. A zoning-focused character should not *also* be above average in close-quarters. And if they're THAT good at zoning, they should be even worse close-up. Make them lack close-range mix, or damage, or make them hungry for meter, something. But NRS apparently just loves making characters not only stellar at longe range but also very good close-up, to the point where the character *has no weaknesses.*
Also invincible reversal. Why give the crazy zoner an invincible reversal. Same issue with Ferry in Granblue Versus. Don't give the zoner a dp come on!

Deathshot was pretty annoying but he does not compare to the overpowered mess that was vanilla Xenomorph. A character so broken that NRS had to change the game's fundamentals to keep i somewhat in line.
The choices they made when nerfing him are the biggest mistake imo. He clearly was designed to be a zoner, all they had to do was nerf or remove the tools a zoner shouldn’t have. - They should have made f2 a mid instead of an overhead, removing the 50/50 - remove the invincibility on his wake up knee - no meterbuild on whiffed bullets That’s all they should have done and he would have been fine imo. Also, i mained Bane, it was a nightmare pre-deadshot nerfs lol
U could say that doesn’t do him much as he basically replaced deathstroke who had a major role in the story and was better in the gameplay side. I do hope we get him for injustice 3 tho

The problem is that they had some very bad decisions and tbh, i had way more fun doing 40% combos in mk9 in a fast pace chaos than having to guess if my opponent would let me do something or just fucking breakaway and punish me for trying to do damage (seriously, breakaway is one of the worst mechanics i have ever seen). They did the same with guilty gear strive but way better! Sadly now most games are basically just spacing and footsies.

We house ban Eron and Deadshot every game because it's always the same, lame gameplay. Every new game they make these characters too good. Correction; it was that wierdo" Stephanie" Brownback's biases that made NRS Games After MK9 the third person shooters they are today. It's my belief that "she" is the one behind the costume redesigning for MK 11, the reason we didn't get Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Tremor or Triborg. Smoke, especially since his MK9 kit was all about counter zoning. "She" killed Sub-zero's ice clone, nerfed Jaqui's counter throw mechanic before it could even effect the meta, a lot of the bad quality of life decisions made on Injustice 2 and MK 11 are all traced back to "her" biases.

And just to piss on everything even more the drop rate for that one gear was laughably miniscule. Every cool engaging game changing move and kit is locked behind gear and grind. That's fine, but dont lock it from ranked and cite balance issues, that's bitchmade programming.
Okay. Dead Shot Shooting MK11 Sindel Makes me Forgive him 🤣 Thanks for that UNDERDAWG. But real though, this Character is Still a Nightmare. This makes me realize that perhaps he is the way he is similar to Superman in the 1st game. Deadshot might have been such a Bastard to promote Suicide Squad. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.
Deadshot can be op but you don't have to do anything complex or spam an ability. I prefer his close combat I use his deadly assault every once in a while and his other abilities. I don't spam them like a mad man with plot armor. You don't have too. Close combat is very good. I do prefer black canary for close to long rang combat. She's so fluid in combat.
For a zoner like Deadshot his rushdown should be hot trash. He seems too do low dmg while doing keepaway so that don't need too change especially since the wrist shot requires a charge input. Like I said before they shouldn't have given him any rushdown potential and nerf his combo damage. They also shouldn't have give his assassin knee a meter burn. I also think his trait should do less damage then he'd be an A tier character cause they were trying too sell this man.
I hated dealing with Deadshot players. So difficult to counter at times because he could do anything back at you with quick recovery and literally got punished everytime. Good character but so broken lol I don't even like using him
I don't think making a character do what he is supposed to do is a mistake. It's like saying Bane should just be full range or something which makes no sense.

Good balance should just be a more MK thing. In Injustice I'll take whatever makes them accurate to the character.

They care more about cool looking characters doing cool shit, which NRS even failed to do with their awful animations. All your points aside, his variations were bad too. Giving players 0 reason to switch their play style and just play him keep away. Thats said, i loved his sound design so much that i sometimes played him just so i can hear the sound of his rifle.
Call me ignorant but I think deathstroke is even more broken his quick shows and low shots break armor and his spinning sword wake up is even more broken
This character was just a bad idea honestly. If you give him powerful tools like at launch he becomes so annoying and meta-defining that it kills all interest in the game and the game dies. If you don’t give him powerful tools (like how he is currently), then he’s a bottom 1 character who is outclassed in every area by other characters. The game is healthier and the meta isn’t annoying so the game draws new players it, but it’s like Deadshot isn’t even a character. So if the best-case scenario is one where he basically doesn’t exist, they shouldn’t have added him in the first place and put someone else in his stead.

"She" killed Sub-zero's ice clone, nerfed Jaqui's counter throw mechanic before it could even effect the meta, a lot of the bad quality of life decisions made on Injustice 2 and MK 11 are all traced back to "her" biases.

I seriously doubt it was an accident that the hard counter to both Current and vanilla Deadshot , The Staff of Grayson ground spark, was locked behind a gear move for an unpopular and somewhat low tier character and couldn't be used in ranked. And just to piss on everything even more the drop rate for that one gear was laughably miniscule. Every cool engaging game changing move and kit is locked behind gear and grind. That's fine, but dont lock it from ranked and cite balance issues, that's bitchmade programming.

Deadshot can be op but you don't have to do anything complex or spam an ability. I prefer his close combat I use his deadly assault every once in a while and his other abilities. I don't spam them like a mad man with plot armor. You don't have too. Close combat is very good.
I do prefer black canary for close to long rang combat. She's so fluid in combat.

The breakaway mechanic has been their biggest mistake...
For a zoner like Deadshot his rushdown should be hot trash. He seems too do low dmg while doing keepaway so that don't need too change especially since the wrist shot requires a charge input. Like I said before they shouldn't have given him any rushdown potential and nerf his combo damage. They also shouldn't have give his assassin knee a meter burn. I also think his trait should do less damage then he'd be an A tier character cause they were trying too sell this man.

I hated dealing with Deadshot players. So difficult to counter at times because he could do anything back at you with quick recovery and literally got punished everytime. Good character but so broken lol I don't even like using him

I don't think making a character do what he is supposed to do is a mistake. It's like saying Bane should just be full range or something which makes no sense.

@@AmiriHipHop I mean I guess from a more competitive stand point I can see that but Injustice is probably more of a casual franchise because DC is just a huge thing outside of game and people buy it just to play their favorite heroes and villains. Good balance should just be a more MK thing. In Injustice I'll take whatever makes them accurate to the character.
@@thedarktyrant I mean, casuals won't understand or even care about frame data, 50/50, and other mechanics. They care more about cool looking characters doing cool shit, which NRS even failed to do with their awful animations.
My point is that making Deadshot balance competitive wise don't matter that much to casuals. They care more for the spectacles.
Injustice 2 is why I'll never buy another Injustice game.

Call me ignorant but I think deathstroke is even more broken his quick shows and low shots break armor and his spinning sword wake up is even more broken
This character was just a bad idea honestly. If you give him powerful tools like at launch he becomes so annoying and meta-defining that it kills all interest in the game and the game dies. If you don’t give him powerful tools (like how he is currently), then he’s a bottom 1 character who is outclassed in every area by other characters. The game is healthier and the meta isn’t annoying so the game draws new players it, but it’s like Deadshot isn’t even a character. So if the best-case scenario is one where he basically doesn’t exist, they shouldn’t have added him in the first place and put someone else in his stead.
