I agree. They were moving very quickly to get such smooth footage walking semi-sideways. But there were some editing and color correcting issues: shot of bride during toasts where she looked at you and then the shot of her looking to the right.
Amazing video! I have a question to wedding filmmakers: Do you give the couple only a 6 minutes long film, or these are just the highlights and you give them a longer version too?
Just when you think Kraig can't possibly make a better wedding video, he goes and does something like this. Very well done. Rocking that Zhiyun Crane. I love how you follow the bridesmaid down the isle. I may have to do that for my next wedding.
Phenomenal video. I have a wisdom question to anyone willing to answer, what is the best audio format to record audio of vows from the wedding with a lavaliere mic and is it easy to mute the audio in Adobe premiere and fuse it with the video taken?
Hi Craig, love your stuff. QUESTION - do you find that your personal brand content boosts your wedding business? I've just started vlogging and I'm hoping that it will impact positively on my weddings as well as connecting me to the online video community..
ooo Man you do amazing job!!! Can you do vlog what music u use? its free music? or how much u pay for use it on movie and youtube? Greetings from Poland
Amazing once again! I have a question: if i only have 1 lav mic and 1 zoom h1, do i mic up the groom or officiant? or do i just set the zoom up on a gorillapod?
I would say you should focus on getting at least 1-2 more audio kits. Consider the Tascam DR-10L (ua-cam.com/video/dG39VnBuZ8U/v-deo.html) but yes, I would mic up whoever does most of the talking. Probably the officiant. It depends tho, there might be a mic stand that you could mic up instead.
Gotta love the click-click sound in the background during letter readings and such. Makes me want to go full Sam Jackson and yell, "Silent Shutter mode, do you have it?!"
incredible! i would love it if you could check out my first wedding video, inspired by your channel. how much was filmed with the crane? i have just booked 4 more weddings and i'm contemplating buying one. dan
No way this is your work. I've watched your videos from the beginning and this is not your editing style. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that your 2nd shooter sucks working the focus. Couldn't make it past 3:34 before I had to pause and write this... Your quality is what got you to this point, don't sacrifice it!!!
The Sony PP Autumn Leaves Kraig uses causes skin to look orange in incandescent light. I have found a few others that do the same thing. We switched to EOSHD Pro color profile. Much much better skin and more accurate color with Sony cameras.
Check out the sony a6000 if your looking for an affordable way to get into wedding filmmaking without dishing out the cash for the a6300, 6500 or a7sii. I have lots of examples of videos I've done with it great camera!
I'm no expert in wedding videos and I hope that my comment won't be taken negatively. First of all, the cinematography (if I could say that) in this video is absolutely wonderful, superb, and . No complaints there. However, if I were to critique this video, I would say that it sort of lacks a little bit more emotion. The climax of this video should be the point where they are declared husband and wife, and not the wedding celebration. I'm also wondering why the father is the first to be shown and the sister was the last. If he's the most important speaker, he should've been the last. My other gripe is that most (American) videos don't follow any chronology. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but so far my benchmark of wedding videos in terms of story-telling (and not the quality of the video) is the one entitled "Majlis Pernikahan Irma Hasmie Ibrahim & Redza Syah Azmeer Radzuan." It's an old wedding video by awanstudiomalaysia.
Who's ready for a behind the scenes video showing how I shot and edited this video?
For sure!
As always! What picture profile did you shoot this in?
Wedding Film School I'm ready
i was ready before the commercial on this video ended.
I'm from Ukraine. After watching your videos I also bought the sony a7sii. So continue to share the experience please. =)
I'M CRYING SO MUCH this is my new favourite wedding video of all time oh my gawwwwdd
NylahK ...Yes.. like wow...this is up there with Ray Roman for sure... Wow Kraig....
It was pretty amazing, wasn't it :) The speechs were so lovely, excellent work with the editing
LOVE the shot of the bridal party entering from the side view as you walked with them. Super cool

Amazing video! I have a question to wedding filmmakers: Do you give the couple only a 6 minutes long film, or these are just the highlights and you give them a longer version too?
Didn't know perfectness can be in a video!!? You are awesome
Kraig, just wondering what picture profile do you shoot with the a7s II and what LUT-s do you use? :)
Standard profile is what he said, as for luts, I have no idea what he uses
By standard you mean no picture profile? picture profile off?
In one of the older videos he says that he uses the same as Matt Johnson (mattflat)?
watch his video..he not using any pictures profile..he use picture style (autumn leave)
Thats just so ridiculously good...im starting my career as a wedding filmer just now and am really so impressed by your work man!
Just when you think Kraig can't possibly make a better wedding video, he goes and does something like this. Very well done. Rocking that Zhiyun Crane. I love how you follow the bridesmaid down the isle. I may have to do that for my next wedding.
3:15-3:20 is such a great shot! Nice touch.

Love the shot of the groom at the 0:12! #dirtyhotelwindows
you've done it again beautiful work. Salute!!
i love your work and thank you for this channel
Simply stunning!

Amazing! You are inspiring me. What frame and shutter speed you use generally in film?
Just a guess, 24/50
He doesn't use ND filters and you can see the lack of motion blur in a lot of shots in all his videos, his shutter speed is way higher than 50
Rock Rockerson
I forgot about that.
Is there something wrong to use a higher shutter speed? I use ND filter but I wonder if it shutter speed will not be better...
Shutter speed causes staccato. Most film makers will notice it, most brides won't. It removes the cinematic motion blur, etc.
Great Video but also great choice of music!
Amazing once again! I have a question: if i only have 1 lav mic and 1 zoom h1, do i mic up the groom or officiant? or do i just set the zoom up on a gorillapod?

Ok thank you!
I'm a UH student now and I had no idea you could get married here! Great job as always!
That low light shot at 4:38 makes me salivate :P Awesome job!
was considering getting that stablizer, but some of the shots looked a little strange. did you have to use post stabilization?
Great job as usual Kraig with the 'K'. You're my long-distance mentor!
Hey Kraig! Just a quick question: do you use polarizers or nd filters or just a uv to keep it simple?
he seems to just jack up the shutter speed. at least that is what the lack of motion blur in the high brightness scenes look like
Me encantan tus videos, son geniales!!!
Who are the fools that clicked thumbs down?
This video is excellent!
Great film.
Loved the ending
Please make a video about the stabilizer settings through the program Zhiyun Assistant.
How did you move the camera 3:10-3:20? Freehand?

Awesome cinematography Kraig. How many shooters did you use for this wedding? Thanks
Great work bro
Gotta love the click-click sound in the background during letter readings and such. Makes me want to go full Sam Jackson and yell, "Silent Shutter mode, do you have it?!"

incredible! i would love it if you could check out my first wedding video, inspired by your channel. how much was filmed with the crane? i have just booked 4 more weddings and i'm contemplating buying one. dan

Great job as always but I is there a reason a bunch of shots make the people look like they used way too much spray tan?

is perfect!

Everybody looks too orange
High contrast on sony picture is a no no. You have to go flat or Canon, because this video is full of zombies and sick people :)
