Just so everyone knows, sea snakes are generally extremely passive and will only bite if ABSOLUTELY annoyed or threatened. They use it as a last resort believe it or not. A lot of divers know this, but will talk about them as super dangerous for better storytelling when we swim near them lol. So when I saw him go to catch it I knew he'd be fine, but running with it towards his friend probably not the best idea incase he tripped or dropped it by accident it would've been extremely stressed and definitely would've bit. This mans got no fear lol.
Absolutely threatened like when a man in short pants and sleeve and beach sandals yanks you out of the water with prongs and chases the camera man around like he's a 10 year old?
@@saifis As I said you can catch sea snakes and hold them and they wont bite. its a last resort mechanism for them. But I did say in my comment him running with it probably wasnt the best idea lol. The fact it had just eaten a moray eel is why it didn't just straight up run as well. It was chillin digesting in the sun. My comment was more to let people know they're not 'super dangerous" this is just what we as divers say to make them seem more scary or interesting in stories.

@@macrick yes, but that's only for smaller snakes, or ones that never been molted before. Scales on the bigger one is too hard, you need to get rid of it if you want to eat it, it's edible, but is pain in the ass. They're tasteless, so it's all about texture
@@palaxdrain9115 1st time, I heard of this. We used to be able to purchase/eat snakes in Singapore, but that era was way before I was born. Now, we have to go to thailand or vietnam to eat snakes.
@@macrick you can eat snakes in some parts of Malaysia too. and Indonesia. a friend of mine would bring fried snake skin to eat during recess in school and ngl it looked bomb af

Respecting food is right and it reminds us of humanity. It's not hunting for fun or for satisfying the desire to hunt for fun. I respect this man's deeds for what he hunts and uses as food to the maximum benefit.

Venom is not the same as poison. Venomous animals only have their venom in one place and use it to actively attack or defend. Poisonous animals have it all throughout their body and are already dead when their poison kills their predator. Venomous animals are therefore more likely to be edible.

結構ヘビがヘビ食べたり、ウナギやらを食べたりってそう珍しいことじゃなく、むしろ好んで食べるヘビもいるみたいですよ。
身体が細長いので、同じく身体が細長い生き物の方が、小動物をバクバクたべるより効率よく多くのカロリーを摂取できるからみたいですね

ハブを調理して提供してくれるスネークセンターでは、内臓処理や皮剥ぎをしたら、包丁じゃなくて剪定鋏でバズバズ切ってましたね。
次に捌く機会があったら、包丁が欠けないらしいので鋏でやってみてください。

あのグニュグニュはおそらく筋膜ですかね。筋肉と皮膚が干渉しないように滑らせる役割があるんですが、ウミヘビは全身を動かして泳ぐのでそれが発達してるんでしょうね。
