This was great! I’m often the only woman veiling at my parish and sometimes I can feel self conscious but whenever I’ve entertained the idea of stopping veiling, I’m instantly ill at ease. I became Catholic 4 years ago this Easter and I began veiling the night I came into the Church and have ever since. My hubby doesn’t have an opinion one way or the other so I’m glad he has always supported my choice.
I bought a veil two years ago and just started to wear it last month. I felt the blessed mother was asking me to. After lots of prayer and discernment , I said yes to the blessed mother. My daughters and I now wear the veil, we are the only ones. My faith has been magnified since this act of faith. “Teach them to be ladies” she said to me, referring to the youth. And so here I go attempting to give reverence a rivival and emphasis on purity, on what it means to be a Catholic women . I have 3 girls myself and now teach 7th grade ccd
I love veiling and being more close to our Catholic tradition . It shows reverence humility, and up holding the dignity and feminity of women ! Mama Mary pray for us.
I’ve been veiling for a few years now. It was hard at first because there was only one other lady veiling. For some reason she chose to stop veiling when she got married. But I am at a place in my life that it doesn’t matter. I have noticed coming back to my Catholic faith a few women veil.
Hopefully you will be a good example. If you seem people veiling I recommend going up and encouraging them. It's hard sometimes to go against the crowd.
@@TheCatholicRose thanks for your response. You inspired me to wear a veil to Adoration, many months ago since I started watching your videos. Even though you didnt talk about it, I knew it was something special that I could do to show reverence to the blessed sacrament. Even without words, just watching your videos Mother Mary leads us to worship and praise her son better. God bless you and your ministry.
My teenage son, now twenty. Told me I should veil, I told him my long her was my covering. He sent me a like to read about it. I tried to prove him wrong but instead I was convinced that I needed to veil.
A watched a catholic nun answer the white or black veil single vs married thing. She said she is unaware of that meaning and it would take away from the point of wearing one of we were all signaling who is datable or taken. She also said she prefers black veils always.
The idea that the veil is just for covering the hair is one person’s view, not a rule or even common guidance or understanding. A more complete view is that the veil is a head covering. Just a comment lovingly submitted.
Here is the principle passage on the topic: “And whereas any man who keep his head covered when he prays or utters prophecy brings shame upon his head, a woman brings shame upon her head if she uncovers it to pray or prophesy; she is no better than the woman who has her head shaved. If a woman would go without a veil, why does she not cut her hair short too if she admits that a woman is disgraced when her hair is cut short or shaved, then let her go veiled…Judge for yourselves; is it fitting that a woman should offer prayer to God unveiled? Does not nature itself teach you that, whereas it is a disgrace to a man to wear his hair long, when a woman grows her hair long, it is an added grace to her? That is because her hair has been given her to take the place of a veil.” (1 Corinthians 11:4-16)
Total nonsense. A veil is for Christian modesty. That's all. It's for humility so the men don't get distracted from praying to God. Same reason that women are supposed to wear a long dress and minimal makeup. It's not about declaring yourself to be holy.
the Bible says that woman's hair is her covering (1 cor 11;15). apostle paul never said to cover the covering which is woman's hair. what you are saying is unbiblical and false. you mislead and deceive people. our covering is Lord Yeshu Hamashiyah alone. all other external things are unbiblical and they are nothing but relying on the flesh. thats is sin.
Thanks for having me on!! This was so fun! All for the glory of God and Our Blessed Mother 😇🙏💙 Let’s be Saints!!

I love how veiling gives glory to God in directing all our attention towards Him, what a beautiful sign of our love!
What a grace

Jesus says: “The veil serves as a protection in a woman’s struggle against sin and her desire for redemption.”
Wow! Never heard that! Where is that at?

Great
The rule is about covering your head….not veiling.A hat, veil or scarf are all appropriate.
Hey y'all....I wanted to get one of those five dollar veils...or a free one, but they require a credit card to get one. 😒...It's very disappointing.
