It’s an incredible anthem & an incredible ode to Black American culture & its impact on mainstream American culture. The reason so many non-black people are overwhelmed with emotion is that Beyoncé knows exactly what she’s doing & curated a set of cultural touch points that elevate all who observe them. Even bad marching bad music is good, cuz it means a parade or that crisp fall air, but ooooh truly great marching band performance can convince you to join an army! she really came off a world tour, had a high risk pregnancy and delivery filled with complications, then spent 10 months working her ass off to produce the greatest live show in history. unmatched talent, work ethic and creative vision. her commitment to excellence will never be topped. i gag and gasp every single time i watch this masterpiece, not just because of the spectacle, but because of everything she had to do to get to this point. everything she had to sacrifice, everything she had to endure, everything she had to deal with, since the age of FIVE! she truly is destiny's child, and this is destiny fulfilled.

That's how bands at predominantly Black high schools and HBCUs do their stand music. That is Black American culture. If you search Battle of the Bands, or Majorette dancers (the style of dance being done here) you'll see what I mean. There's a lot of historical reasons (stemming from the American Reconstruction era (after slavery was emancipated), Jim Crow/segregation and everything surrounding the civil rights era and the post civil rights era (which brought up the Black empowerment movement) that led to Black Americans (Black American Descendants of chattel slavery as opposed to Black from other countries that immigrated over after 1965) having their own unique culture within America, and that's what Bey showcased all throughout this entire performance (though the cultural aspects are lost on people who are not familiar with Black American culture). Even the orchestra and singers have their own personality, including each individual majorette dancer, but all vibe and bring their unique energy and movements into the music (like individual spirits merging into one collective). It's deep, baby.
I think having the vision of the overall set is admirable, but honestly, I'm not super impressed by Beyoncé individual performance. The presentation is grand but it's a bit deceptive as she has about at least 50 people on stage with her. None of her dance moves are complicated. Walking up and down a stairs is not a special talent. Sorry, but to me, visually the aesthetic is appealing but there's nothing in this that I'd consider HER to be the greatest live performer in this generation or any other before.

nobody can deny Beyonce is one of ... if not the greatest performers of our generation, this set was legendary . absolutely breath taking ... jealous of the people that witnessed this with there own eyes
The guy that kept screaming "OH MAI GAAAAWD" 😂
It seems like somebody of ‘family guy’
He's getting his life lol
A
Hahahahha i think i would be he if i was there
I sure hope he found Destinaaaaaay!!!
Beyoncé is underrated. She deserves more recognition (in asia).
She deserves all of her accolades she works super hard
The ppl in crowd got me cracking up 😂...Beyonce is Queen 😍
BaddieB Beautybox your queen...
yes let em know ask about me
Have you seen the drunk in love video by Maverick, “we love a dangerous queen” 😂😂😂😂👑😍🥰
Like Beyonce, this Coachella performance is a work of art.
Freedom, Lift Every Voice & Formation just gives me chills...I know our ancestors would be so proud to see Beyoncé uplifting the legacy in such a way. She will always be one of a kind.
the best thing about this video is the people, its clear to see and hear peoples energy, they were explosive... they were going crazyyyyyyyyyy..people's reactions
Beyoncé: " breaths "
Me: *OMG* She slays
😂

“Im back by popular demand” “YES YOU ARE QUEEN”🤦🏾♂️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂😂ICONIC

there is just something about the crowd videos that really make it so spectacular, the spectacle that it was. this set design, the dancers, the band, the choreography, the details. is EVEYTHING, she put careers in jeopardy just by sayin "coachella you ready" yassss queen bey. no one can ever top this
Beyonce gave you all the HBCU experience of a lifetime in one concert...so glad that I attended an HBCU! #HBCULOVE Those 8 counts B and those dancers were giving ya'll was THE FOOL..ya'll ain't ready!
Blakmajik78 ok!!!!!!
I need you to know why she is the queen right now lol. That's good you see this now..she put 110% in her shows. A true icon..I envy you wish I could have been there ;)
Blakmajik78 I felt I was at homecoming in 2006 at Tenn. State! I was waiting for D9 & the old head to come thru! Lol
AGGIE PRIDE!
Not only #HBCULOVE but black high schools with resources! I never went to college but i did get the #BANDLIFE experiences in high school! Band and choir were ALWAYS jamming 🤣
Beyonce was like " Coachella ,we are going to show you how WE get down"😂Nothing like HBCU bands and dance teams!
kay Jack yes! 🤣
Yes! Coachella could never!
The greatest performance ever!!! Only Beyoncé can top every artist that came before her and continue to top herself as well.
Gerardo Ruiz David Lee Brewer taught her to do so
Ummmm still not breaking Michael jackson records 😂😂still cant out perform him ..she cant dance better then him ..and he is way more and still is more popular everything he did ..every single clothing he wore was more iconic then what she ever put on ..he dont need 50 back up dancers tahhh him look great all he needed was a spot light on him😂so her crowd at her concerts not even compared tahh his ...michael was on a whole other level lil BITCH..until the BITCH break all his records and have 5000 faints anight then we'll see who really the best ..plus the man been dead for like 10 years now and nobody still ain't topping him ..remember he was her idol ❗❗
@@shuneycecooper8519 Mj and Bey are equals in performing...
@@shuneycecooper8519
I agree. Michael and PRINCE were the greatest. They danced instead of doing aerobics on stage. PRINCE was also a musician, wrote much of his material and enunciated his words or lyrics so that we understood what he was saying when he sang during his performances. Both PRINCE and MICHAEL were legends.
Sohail Samad definitely not Beyonce is amazing but Michael Jackson is earth-shattering and on another level
Still one of THE dopest concert openings if all time.
Never really been a fan of Beyoncé’s music besides her lemonade album but god damn, this is fucking amazing. Like this is on another level of performing live. Holy shit is all I can say.
I was right at the front and she gave me a highfive...i lived that night😍
Really..I would faint
She’s so iconic it gives me goosebumps. I’m only 15 but she’s literally taught me everything from confidence, to my riffs and runs, to simple vocals. She’s such an inspiration to me and I hope my music one day is just as motivating as hers ❤️
Honestly, as a guy I can admit that this was an absolutely LEGENDARY performance that will be mentioned for eons to come amongst the greatest live performances ever
This performance should be in out history books 💯
I am still not over this ..........
@ Richard Walker me either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just so iconic greatest performer of all time
Mj cough cough

Beychella? Lol
Is that real?
@@naraposthumus8478 I’m from the future here to tell u yes it was very real
I will never get over the fact that I was never physically there. The vibes must have been soo electric and the energy omg it would have been amazing!
I wish I did, too. I'd go back in time and save the money to go. If Beyonce performs in Coachella again, I'll go.
The guy talking on this video was having an out of body experience. 😂😂😂
She is without any doubt a legendary performer !!!!!!!!
Always loved Beyonce’s music but never really understood the big deal? Now I understand.
thanku. byee honestly same here I never understood why she was such a big deal. I was there and obviously because I’m at Coachella why the fuck wasn’t I gonna see Beyonce when her set ended I was like 🤯😦.
Beyonce happy birthday
same!!!!
The artistry is immaculate
That's why I say, ppl who say she's overrated never have given themselves the time. I forgive them all coz they don't know what the fuck they talking about, thank you again🤷🏽♀️✨
THIS WAS SO WELL ORGANIZED...It's crazy how Beyonce is so talented and creative
HER DANCERS 😦😍😍😍😍🔥
nemoran actually she’s the one that chooses them she’s picky about them and only chooses the best of the best so not really
Those plus sized dancers though 🔥
nemoran her dancers aren’t singing tho...so...i mean...
Correct.
They’re like sexy flight attendants😍
Beyonce is untouchable and rightly so,she deserves ever award and accolade as she has honed her craft over the years to create a show like this that folk will talk about and remember for literally generations to come!! Truly she is the QUEEN!
THIS lost an emmy for carpool karaoke. The way they keep doing her dirty is unbelieavable, the level of disrespect ugh...
Exactly this incredible performance lost to carpool karaoke, the show where singers sing off key half of the time.
But she's in the illuminati, right? Lol people are ridiculous. If she was in the Illuminati, she better get a refund
Kairo exactly, that Illuminati membership should’ve guaranteed her an Emmy sweep
@@mscubana
Right. Jay and Bey sold their SOULS and they are just billionaires? Meanwhile, Jeff Besos is worth 117 billion but he got there through hard work?
Somebody make it make sense.
Kairo lol I can’t with you people
Beyonce is a such perfectionist! Every movement of hers is calculated on schedule.
Anyone that says the Beychella crowd was dead needs to watch this!!
Lambert Akwa Thank you
people dont realize they turn down the audience mics
The saddest thing is that kids are will always want to defend performances that are so flat yet they were never alive to see other performances that are more lively ,it's a pity that Eminem delivers breathtaking performances with one dj and a hypman and raps for 1 hour ,and will entertain 100,000 people .God when did entertainment go south.
Brazil says: Hi 😌
Se fosse aqui meu lindo, não dava pra ouvir a voz dela nessa gravação kkkkkkk
She literally just radiates power, when you see her at the top of the bleachers you get chills.
Goose bumps when she said ..!.!. Life every voice and sing .!!
Never forget
I saw Beyoncé in July in Cleveland and it was INCREDIBLE but THIS!!! I think the band absolutely puts this performance over the edge. Beyoncé is always amazing but this band with her!!! Ugh I love this performance so much, never get sick of watching it.
I’ll never forget the first time I watched this. I was only starting to really listen to Beyoncé at the time (I know I’m late, don’t Jude😂) I knew a good few songs and I liked her. But after I watched homecoming... that was it. I just fell in love with how amazing this woman is. Fast forward to now and I’m a super fan. I know all the songs, all the dances and she’s my idol. I’ve never cared about celebrities, but this woman is a queen, an icon and a LEGEND 🐝🐝🐝👑👑👑
welcome to the beyhive
ladon latrell thank you😂
Beyonce really did have the best performance of all time
i have to revisit this video like once every week for a regular dosage of LIFE!!
This band is giving absolutely everything they've got in them and more, incredible. The dancers are full out, energy is insane.
Formation was a MOMENT! She did that!! This band just takes it to another level
it’s literally IMPOSSIBLE to watch this without dancing
ikr
I'm laying on my kitchen floor lmao

Kirti Kumar youre boring we get it no need to brag

Totally untouchable queen for a reason, this concert is worth every penny being paid , lucky fans, wowww awestrucked still with her stage presence ,miss pre-corona era…
