This is just the 30 habit forming theory Anything you do for 30 days conservatively, typically becomes habit. Just like most gamblers, gamble in one form or another everyday, some all-day. So naturally, for these people, it's hard to go a whole day without doing it. Some say 21 days consecutively and a habit can be broken or formed. I've gone without gambling for over a year and what I learned from that is that, you are either going to gamble or you are not. Fear is the biggest motivator of all. Ambition is another (something that you find greater than any amount of money you can make). And though it's fair to say, that slots, scratch off tickets, the tables, whatever... they always get the best of us and it the difficulty to walk away after you've tried for so long, you've lost so much that it is only natural to want to get even. But believe it or not guys, it's actually greed that keeps us going, not just wanting to get even. And it's that feeling of wanting to get even, that keeps us involved. But WE HAVE TO WALK AWAY! And that starts with us getting over the loss. "Say it to yourself, right now" " No hard feelings, I tried, I lost!, But I can't hold a grudge trying to get you back, because I'll just keep hurting myself" Ambition leads to success but greed leads to distruction. If you're reading this, that's probably where you are now. Living from pay check to pay check, overdrafts, rocky marriage whatever. Try the 30 days going without your choice or method of gambling. Mark the calendar and really put in the effort to resist the temptation by saying to yourself, "No hard feelings, I tried, I lost! But I can't hold a grudge, trying to get even, because I'm just hurting myself." It really works you guys!!!

My brother's life is over due to gambling and he does not want to do anything about it, it is so tragic to lose wife, children that love him more than anything else and he too, and friends, family and money and so on, he has even lost his finger the other day and me and it kills me inside... but he still goes around reaching out by trying to get empathy but in vain.
That's a great decision! Gambling can be addictive and it's important to prioritize other aspects of your life. Stay strong and stay committed to your goal!
I only started gambling last year, up to nearly 2k in losses, I was afraid to say anything as I’m only 20 and it seems so normal to me and my friends. I want to stop now but don’t know how, but I will practice this and see if it helps, thankyou

It sounds like you have a really intense experience when you go to the casino. It's important to be aware of these feelings and find healthy ways to cope with them. Have you considered seeking professional help or finding alternative ways to satisfy your excitement?
So we have to carry a ball or apple every where we have the urge I guess the urge will go when people start looking at you with fright as to what your doing

I'm 80/20 right brain. Super creative and always thinking outside the box of ways to make anything better! I don't like gambling at all. I'm only watching this video to help my boyfriend with his gambling addiction
Am from Nigeria gambling has hindered my success in trading instead of taking lower and have statistical result and growth I would always love to risk concentrate more always taking extreme bigger risk after winning I continue and it's not long before I lose the money causing the little loss to trigger more reason to take more risk lossing my trading account.
Is there a method that teaches someone to control their gambling? Make the activity about having fun and set affordable limits. It's hard to stop completely when most of your friends are going to the casino. Don't forget that there are many other activities (done purposely by the casino to get you in the door) but could be enjoyed if you have control. There are shows, great restaurants, spa services, and of course free gifts. Can someone train themselves to be in control or is it like an alcoholic who can't even take a sip?
Today I stop gambling. I’m only 23 and I’m in more than 10k worth of gambling debt. I’m addicted to recreational drugs and I’m struggling with every part of life.
I would shake when I got paid and then get to gambling as fast and possible and it was like euphoria through my body as the shaking stopped as soon as I put a bet on. Then that euphoria turned into major downer until I got paid again then the cycle continued. I go through phases where I think I have it under control but it's always bubbling and comes back with a crash.
Hi Barry, I have adhd and have a huge problem, I’m going to try your technique and hopefully I see some change, for me it’s not the urge to win either it’s the urge to bet and get on a feature it’s the anticipation of that feature and what it may conclude
I have the same problem as well I always think that the feature will pay me heaps and get me out of financial debt but it never happens the reality is we will keep losing more and more and chase more and more its best to stop now I have aspergers and OCD so I know the struggle hang in there mate.
This method will definitely work with urge to bet. Just bring the feeling up and then do the exercise and bring it down. Do this over and over until your brain gets it.

I'm here because today is the day I realized I have a huge problem. I played online slots for the first time..
Thnak you
i do win then i don't stop ..then lose it all😢😢
You have to realise that you are not gambling... you are just losing!
this is very good advice. I wonder if in addition doing creative stuff with your hands like painting or drawing could decrease the urge of addiction as well. Thanks for this video!
Ofc it does. I heared it somewhere
Very good tip. How many times a day would you do this exercise? Are there any other brain hacks directed to stop gambling ?
As many times as is necessary to break the cycle. Consistency is key
I can do this !!! I’m strong
YES! You can!
today is the day i stop gambling 6/15/23
You've got this!
It's so hard when people don't want to do anything about it. However it is possible for him to turn things around when he is ready.
Worry about your own life and stop worrying about others. You may have a codependency (rescue) problem.
Whenever I get the urge to gamble I eat instead as a distraction.
It’s been 6 months and I haven’t bet at all.
As long as it works for you that's great
Brilliant advice
I think this is true because if I have wank it stops me from gambling
Lol
I will not gamble anymore. Whether small nor big! 8/12/23!
You are welcome.
I dont have urge to gamble every day but when i go at casino once in month i have no limits,i have no soul,i am able to destroy all in one day.I became like demon. In that moment i av very dangerous for me and everything around me.I am in state that i am realy able to do anything with no fears and no regrets.I haveno idea how i am not dead or in preason.
It sounds like you have a really intense experience when you go to the casino. It's important to be aware of these feelings and find healthy ways to cope with them. Have you considered seeking professional help or finding alternative ways to satisfy your excitement?
@@BarryNealeHypnosis yes i was thinkihg but my minde telling me a no are not that case
But true is i should long time ago look for help
It's never too late to seek help and overcome addiction. Good for you for recognizing the need for assistance!
So we have to carry a ball or apple every where we have the urge I guess the urge will go when people start looking at you with fright as to what your doing
Sounds like we have to take a ball or Apple with us everywhere we go...I might eat the apple when my gambling craving starts😅
I've been gambling free for six months and had a relapse five days ago. I've been to treatment so I am very equipped with tools on how to not gamble but it feels like a manic episode or something. Don't know how to stop. I want to be gambling free
Yesterday was my last day gamboling 1-16-24 is the start of my new life

Great video
great vid, thanks! so interesting your take that compulsive/addictive behavior is left-brain...would have never thought, but it makes so much sense. also why when i'm honoring creative pursuits/in a creative environment i have very little urge to gamble or engage in other addictions. sharing this in my crypto chat room
thanks
Crypto chat room?
I'm a GA member and we have many people who've been addicted to Crypto who come to us for help.
I'm 80/20 right brain. Super creative and always thinking outside the box of ways to make anything better! I don't like gambling at all. I'm only watching this video to help my boyfriend with his gambling addiction
I get it after work driving home
Thanks for sharing that, it's nice to know others can relate to that feeling.
Did this and i still placed a parlay......hope it hits. I will keep trying this
keep doing it!
😊❤ Great advice and techniques sir 👏
I need to get out of this darkness😢😢😢

That's a powerful commitment! Wishing you all the strength and determination on your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
this is really cool. i keep getting sucked into sports picks with like 10 bucks here and there and it annoys me
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's a common struggle, but remember to prioritize your enjoyment and not let it annoy you too much.
thank you I going to try this
Great, give it 100%!
I quit gambling today !!!!
Can you use this for binge eating?
Yes absolutely!
I'll try anything. I have had enough..50 years . I will have to just use empty hands for the technique to help me, arthritis is ...painful.
I feel you bro. I’m in the same position. How is it goint now?
I need help.
If you need help contact me in the link in the description. I help people like you on a daily basis break the cycle of gambling.
I actually start shaking. I just don't want to gamble no more.
It's not just the gambling but the aftermath when you're broke and can't pay bills. I haven't gambled in 2 days I'm going to win this battle.
@@gregoryjames3546you are a conqueror
Thanks for the great video.. I lost almost 200k
You are welcome! Hope it helps
Kon sa game mai ??
Guys been gambling since I was 14 I'm 44 now but have stopped gambling due to the Fact I'm sick of having nothing all my money has over the years gone on gambling but I'm fighting it the fact of the matter is that I'm just over it
