    There is a problem with this explanation. First it only works in the northern hemisphere. Second it only works away from tropical latitudes. I live in the tropics of the northern hemisphere and there is part of the year lasting from May through August (with the June solstice in the middle) when the sun is actually to the north and shadows project to the south. So in a late spring or early summer the puddles could be on the north side or perhaps the same in both side because the sun is quite high (even at the zenith in two specific dates) at noon.

      Hi Luis, thanks for your reply and you are right. I've written a chapter on where the sun is depending on your location in The Natural Navigator, but if I had to repeat it for every video I'd never be able to share this info. All the best, Tristan
