I am a nurse in a brain injury unit and I dedicate this to all my colleagues and my patients - we all care so much for all of them - we go that extra mile to pick them up when they are having a bad day - we see them through bad days - we cry with them and laugh with them we literally give them everything we have to ensure they are as well as they can be but sometimes they lose the fight - and yes we cry when that happens - our hearts are with everyone of them as they make their final journey

As somebody that’s been in and out of hospitals for the last 4 years this hits so hard. With the longest being 6 months. My healthcare team and nurses are the best. I’ve spent 2 birthdays hospitalized and they go out of their way to try and make the most out of it. I’m not sure how I’m still here, but I thank you for doing what you do because without nurses like you, my life would be so much worse. I’ve had everything I’ve loved taken from me from my stupid disease. Lifes been really hard

The worst thing that has ever happened to me was to survive it. It’s a dark disease that can take us to even darker places than death itself. I pray that nobody has to ever feel this.
