Has this company noticed Edison Motors in BC Canada. They've done this with Heavy Duty big Rigs. It's freaking awesome to finally seeing companies to start researching and producing this old tech that is proven itself.
Why does nobody ever list the air draft? Especially if it's got "Great Loop" in the title. There's a fixed bridge on the loop that's 19' 7" of clearance.
@@BoatTEST So just a tiny bit too tall to make the bridge at mile marker 300 (or near there anyway). I think even the 48 Fly is a shade too tall for that bridge although I seem to remember the 45 is short enough.
5:03 Awesome great loop / coastal / island hopper to be able to not run a generator at anchor must be a dream. Only thing I would change, Hot and Cold cup holders.
Noticed a few disparaging comments on the 12 mile battery range.. You can alternate back to diesel and while it recharges the batteries and then go another 12 miles on battery, over and over. On top of this, being on anchor without burning diesel from a generator while air-conditioning is on for 48 hours is pretty good.
hope they come up with a concept that has even more autonomy, cover the top and sides too with not rigid photovoltaics that can process diffuse light if the weather is not sunny and from reflected light from surface, it could be made into fully electric with infinite range like the silent yacht and sunreef eco catamarans, maybe change the top geometry to something like an upside down ironing iron to max out the surface, a floating power plant for maximal autonomy, liveaboard yacht/houseboat with everything electric that can last
Great loop and inland water way documented boats... but still looking for a video of a Greenline in typical ocean conditions. Any Greenline?? I understand the tech is great in a marina or in protected water... however, how they handle in a sea is still a mystery. I see a lot of per-owned ones for sale and I like their design, look and layout. I just can't risk buying a cheese and cracker boat. How about a review at sea? Thank you
Stainless steel chain is very pretty. These are very nice yachts and the Hybrid system is very pratical.
Saw a smaller version (40ish feet) come in to our marina few weeks back. Very cool to not hear it as it moved in to dock.
Beautiful yacht and I love the range, I could go from Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦 to Mexico 🇲🇽 without having to stop in the US for fuel 😁
Wow
Great Yacht
Respect to the owner 🤗

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This is an exciting time for sustainable boating! Will let Greenline know!

We always put it in our captains report on BoatTEST.com in the description you'll see the link. But here it is: AIR DRAFT 19' 8" (5.99 m)
@@BoatTEST Thank you!!
@@oramac7237 so based on those numbers it can’t actually do the Loop.
Excellent comment

Just a great concept and execution.

Exactly! And we explain that. Thanks for your comments and helping clarify.

Sharrow propeller candidate for sure raising efficiency even higher.
Long awaited video. Wonder what the general delivery time is.
Is that air filter at 1:50 ok?

Hey guys,
Can i buy ur hybrid system and fit it on my boat?
I want to i stall it on a 50 foot aluminum sailing cat.
Let me no ur thoughts??
Cheers!
They somehow found a way to make the QSM11 even more unreliable, make it a hybrid.
a whole 12 miles for all that extra shit to break. Great. got it.
