Most people are giving negative comments instead of appreciating the filmmaker .... according to my point of view I think it's telling about our society that most of the people are still unknown about periods and he is shown one of them great work for making this film and letting people know about periods ❤️👍
It's a natural process. Every girl will go through it. So it should be discuss openly without any hesitation. Because there is no secret things between boys and girls, thanks to internet. Every men should understand girl's problems and help them accordingly. Because we are here because of them.
I am totally surprised how come few people dislike the short film . generally this may happen the father play role of mother wherein he have to handle every situation by his own but sometime he himself don't understand what he have to do neither he can discuss "" men will be men they don't know how to express their emotion . inshort ( "FATHER" is always real hero for her daughter.)
Great and very good message to the society of the present world this proves that only the creator can understand what is creation every humans should understand that without women there is no creation so we should respect always our motherhood and women's of this world
My father himself is a doctor and urologist , a doctor of the urinary system and kidneys and I am twelve years. Thankfully my mom is alive so she told me about periods at the age of ten with no shame. My mom is also a doctor. I can talk to both my parents about periods and all the others should also not feel nervous speaking to their parents or children about. It is normal finomena. All schools should also give education about this to girls especially
Loved the last slide where a bicycle with sugar candies went away. It truly portrays the girl's childhood going away and puberty transition. Kudos director and team.
Now a days every father is aware about this...most of the persons will boast that they know nothing jist for the sake of society. This is only a phenomena the nature has provided to all ladies. Be not ashamed of it. Be with them
I don't agree that the father would have been completely unaware of what happened to his daughter. He might have been uncomfortable to explain the "situation" to his daughter by himself and also to the lady doctor. Thats the reason he was enquiring about the male doctor
As a married man the father should have been aware of what happened to her daughter, if he was really unaware then men should also be educated in this regard.
Married person have a knowledge about period , so as father of daughter he should tell about periods to her daughter........... But in this video person made situation very critical......
This short movie must shw further how he managed all this the relation of father and daughter the understanding the main contet is not shown..which incourage awareness and belief
Answer it in the simple and best way you can, with least of hesitation and more of support and care to the young girl who is going to face this challenge every month. It's a strong message that will change her life. Given in the positive and best way can always be motivating for the girl. Lot's more to say, but some other time. Educate male and female child about their physique and physical, mental and emotional changes that they are going to encounter in the near future.
Maaaa maaa maaaa maaaa maaa maaaa maaaa maaaa maaaamaaa maaa maaa maaa Ya Allah har maa ko salamt rakh Actually yeh kahani bap aur beti ki nahi balki ghar me ek aurat (maa) ke nahi honi ki h. period to ek choti se bat h. Possibly, single male parents do find it tough to deal with menarche n puberty related issues of their daughters, as men aren't trained to handle such matters. This is why sex education is so important in secondary school, so that boys are sensitised about the challenges faced by their female co-students and perhaps learn to treat girls n women more compassionately and respectfully instead of ridiculing a natural physiological process which every girl goes thru from her early teens. In rural areas many girls drop out of schools due to lack of toilets for them which is a shame. Wonder how rural single male parents deal with the situation shown in this film.
I'm in Adult stage; when I close to know all women things and their body behavioral, its feel like normal kind. Even I become very familiar after knowing all things which could help me assist all around me of minor/my stage girls to convey the message in rural area......This short clip is so fascinating messages and need to create awareness as much possible.....still superstition exist .....
Superstition exists because we men in America often see it as a taboo from what society often negatively thinks about girls; especially young ones;need to understand. That it's a natural process, it's what the Creator (God,and the Holy Trinity gave them, since I'm Catholic) had intended to be. And that not all men fear something that they just don't understand. Ever watched some flick starring Nicholas Cage and (I'm sorry to say this, but I don't remember her name. Or I don't know her name.) the then-younger actress,? Who had went to the same thing?😮 Nicholas Cage's character in the movie, being so awkward, awfully nervous, and so........well,not being open-minded? (That may not be the right term .😮) Anyway, it's something that in most cultures around the world, particularly in countries in the African continent, it's prejudice that really is the culprit of why most men often think it's the girl's/young woman's fault. It's not. It's something that we people have to deal with. And be educated about something like this. It's essentially important to discuss that with female nurses and doctors to make informed decisions about what to do,what to expect, and what precautions she should take. Men who are uninformed about it should get educated without fear, shame,or ridicule. To me, it's nothing to be ashamed about. Watch an underrated little-known flick by Sundance films, called"Thirteen" , starring (or had starred) - damn! I don't remember her name! It's been So long! I think it was Evan Rachel Wood. And the other one was Holly Hunter. The voice actress who had starred in the then-popular animated series),the Incredibles. And you'll see what I'm talking about.
@@gobindagouda1300Well, education is one of the things that nobody can take away from you. (girls/young women in particular anywhere in the world, even in America). Misinformation is not good. Superstition without merit,or a good reason,is not a good way to go about it. When men who are uninformed about any of something like this, often fear of something they don't understand. Being sexist sure as heck doesn't make situations like that any better. What they (girls/young women ) need is ❤ and understanding. Not prejudice.
Incase if the father was shy to speak about the situation to a female, he could have taken help of his married friend to explain the situation to his daughter through his friend's wife.
Deepika you are right and that can be one of the possibility but looking at the situation he just wanted to take her daughter to the clinic and then rest of the things .
I guess the father was little hesitant... But atleast the doctor is educated and moreover a lady... She should try to comfort the girl and educate the father. Why such a scary look from the doc.. As if she has seen a ghost.... Just imagine the situation of that poor girl 😔
I thought the dr. Will laugh or smile, as she is the doctor and will try make her and father be comfortable just say, oh ye... It's normal thing. But it was opposite expressions totally that was no body expected in today's date. ☺😅
Ek single mother kids ko handle kar sakti hai,but father k liye thoda difficult hai, and think he should talk about period frankly with daughter or through female teacher or relatives.. nice afford...👌
I don't find it difficult to tell girls and boys about females' period. Girls also openly ask me about their periods. If I were a father of a girl. It won't be difficult for me to handle such situation.
hey, I think this is a really good attempt... I know this is a taboo topic in a few rural and uneducated areas, but we have to educate them in this media rather than just show their situation. Still, I think makers of this film is must be amateur and newbies, as use shots and basic editing. They make a good topic into a boaring documentary. Everyone in this film looking clueless about their job. I think the director must be a bachelor or he never talks any lady about it. Because who's situation has been showing in it. If a girl then there is not showing any her feelings. and if it is of a father then no frustrating no confusion no awareness. still, it is good to say pocket film promotes such new and raw talent. it will help them in the future.
I don't agree to this idea of a father not knowing about periods. And not knowing how to tackle it. He was brave enough to bring up a daughter all by himself then surely he should know there r some of these situations to face. A daughter can make a mistake on her 1st day but no, not papa jee. Sorry.

Mumtaz yes there is no clear resolution. The reason is every person will handle this situation according to their knowledge so the solution can not be any specific, and the film is just about the awareness.
