Nevada pays more because you will suffer. Las Vegas was the worst District I ever worked for in my life. It is a jungle! The best area I ever worked was Minneapolis Minnesota, they paid well. Alot of Somalia immigrants who were basically well behaved.
I am in Texas and it's my first year. I make over 60,000 for my first year. It depend on which district you are in. The better districts, sometimes pay less.
I wld love to teach in NYC granted Im only 12 mins frm it by train since I live in NJ. You have to take the cost of living w/the salary. Some states pay you high cause the rent is super high.. I hope to teach teach in Tulsa Oklahoma or Milwaukee Wisconsin or ATL where the cost of living is really low soon.

Omg, it’s state salary not by district. So those rural areas with low salaries are combined with city salaries so this is why they are lower than ideal. The data is about states but certain districts are higher than the higher salary.
