I am glad you enjoyed it! I had a blast out there sliding around. The pavement driving was fun but did not make for great video but the dirt was a blast and more fun to watch! I appreciate you stopping by and checking it out and also for subscribing. All kinds of cool stuff coming and in the works!
Thanks Brice! The pavement was fun driving but not so great watching. The dirt was an absolute treat and it did gather up a lot of the field in it. I think the TL stands for truck-load!!! I am glad you enjoyed the run! Take care!
Thanks! I never saw much rally racing growing up but when I did I was amazed. I really respect the rally drivers, I think they are nuts but I can really respect their control over the cars! I had a blast out running it around and it did very well even on the bald tires. I am glad you enjoyed the run! I sure did!
Thanks Addam, it's great to see someone running a TL-01 chassis. They don't get a lot of love on UA-cam but they're still great fun to drive! Also, the Citroen rally shell is class looking!
Yeah the only thing wrong with the TL01 I see is it is a tiny dump truck that likes carrying the dirt around with it!! LOL!!! Otherwise I was very happy with the way it ran and even more impressed it did so well in the dirt with basically slicks on it! The body is great looking too and the mud flaps Rex installed on it actually did a good job of keeping it from flinging dirt all over the place. It is also a cool visual feature as well. When he stuck it up on eBay months ago I made sure to try and win it and thankfully I did! I am glad you enjoy it!
@@AddamsPlayground I have 3 TL-01 chassis which have a 2001 Impreza rally, 155 Alfa Romeo touring car and the third is a work in progress Ford Escort WRC which I hope to complete the body for this week. I have a soft stop for the tamiya on road stuff! For messing around I think the TL-01 is perfect!
Love the slide @4:36 That was a fun rip. Glad you were able to salvage the fun after the unmistakable sound of gears dissembling themselves. That was a lot of the ball field in the car. Glad it wasn’t damp or it really be difficult to clean. Have a great weekend my friend.
I was one of the only ones where I could get a good slow motion segment from the footage. I was hoping to get more but I was having so much fun driving I kind of forgot to drive for the camera and was just flying all over the place! The DR10 rapid disassembly was not fun but at least it was just a defective bearing and nobody's fault. At least the parts were in stock and still on sale! I got the all steel gear set for it and the rear sway bar set to try help it go straight! I think the TL in TL01 stands for truck load! That is the amount of dirt inside the car! That was after wrecking and shaking it out once prior! I knew it was gonna be loaded at the end so I had to get it on film! Have a great weekend as well, stay cool! It is miserable here!
It was really fun sliding it around on the dirt. The pavement was fun for me but the dirt was much more entertaining for everyone! It did a great impression of a dump truck as well with all the dirt and gravel it had stowed away inside the chassis!
It is always a fun day to get slideways out on the dirt! I didn't know it was going to try and pack that much up to take it home with us though. I think the TL stands for truck load!
Great TL01 Rally car, seems like you had a blast out on the road and mostly at the ball field. The slow-mow footage 4:37 was a great shot. Just listening to you shaking the mess out of it to get the baseball field out of it was comical 🤣🤣. Thanks for the video and for the advice on the other subject. Take care keep the fun coming. 💯💯👍
Thanks Al, I am glad you enjoyed it and I had a bunch of fun out there! That was the one really good slide I was able to get in slow motion well. I kept forgetting to keep it in front of the cameras and I would end up off in no-mans land just driving away! It did collect quite a bit of the field in but thankfully it was rather quick and easy to clean up when we got home! More fun stuff coming up and anytime you have questions feel free to ask in the comments or send me an email! More than happy to help!!
Thanks! It is a great looking car! The parking lot was fun but didn't make for the best video! The dirt was way more fun and a little more fun to watch! I was surprised how well the bald tires hooked up on the dirt. It was a great time and I am glad you enjoyed it too!
OH YEAH!!! Drifting like a pro out there, Addam! That looked so much fun to throw around and get all sideways! Beautiful car, too, you know I love my rally cars dude! But steady on with the on board spinning around, you had me going giddy!!! 🤣🤣😜😜 When I saw that slab on the field I thought "Stay well clear of that, Addam"!!!! Really enjoyed this one, get cleaning, dude! 😎👌👍👍
The car makes it too easy to slide all around and look good! Sorry about the dizzy spell!! I had a time editing it too, I have a big 34 inch monitor I use and I was getting queasy!! Third base just cam out of nowhere and I slammed right into it! It was on the other side of the field from me and from where we were you could not see it, it blended in with the dirt!. Thankfully no damage done and and it made for a good end scene!! It is all cleaned up and ready for another go. I cannot put them away dirty or they will stay dirty so as soon as i got hoe it got cleaned up and the DR10 got torn down! I am glad you enjoyed the spin around the ball field, I sure did! Have a great weekend Mark!
@@AddamsPlayground I know how it is with things just out of sight - remember those holes we kept driving into on Dom's Common!!! 🤣🤣Always good when no harm comes to our precious RC's! Thanks Addam, have a great weekend too my friend!
Great run Addam and your first pronounciation was right spoken in one word without any break. Cit like in city and then öööön long umlaut. I find no english equivalent, sorry. Fun fact years ag the made an april joke changing the writing for Germany int "Zitrön"
Thanks Dirk! I struggle with words from time to time anyways and throw in one I am not sure of and I do my best! I have heard a number of ways so I had no idea what the right way was! However you say it, it looks great and ran like a champ! I was worried about the slick tires on the dirt but it just went! Lots of fun!!!
It was a bunch of fun out there!! The ball field is the perfect spot to go and the only problem I had was remembering to keep it in front of the camera!! I kept driving all over the place and forgetting I was making a video! LOL! I was surprised on how well it did on the rather slick tires but it drive very well! I am glad you enjoyed it!!
Thank you! I had plans to run more when I got home but the DR10 blowing up made me want to dig into that and figure out what failed. By the time I got that all done it was just too hot and humid to enjoy driving anything on the track! I hope to get some more stuff run today before it gets too nasty out.
Drifting is totally addictive awesome run loved watching it slide those corners beautifully done nice work those tyre's handled pretty well, all the rubble is a pain in the ass 20 minutes bashings hour's cleaning lol great run Addam 👊
It was super fun out there sliding all around and tossing it all over the place. So much so I kept forgetting to keep it in front of the cameras and I would end up off in no-mans land just driving away! It did pick up a lot of junk in there but the good ting is the drive shaft and stuff runs down the side of it and not in the middle like the TT02. It was pretty easy to clean since it was so dry out. A good blast of air, a cheap paint brush and a wipe down and it is all cleaned up and ready for the next outing! I am glad you enjoyed it getting slideways!
Yeah, that is a great little dump truck too for carrying around loads of dirt! LOL! It was a lot of fun and well worth the clean up time to get out there and slide around all over the place. I was going to mark out a little track there but got lost quickly in just drifting around and having fun.
I almost bought the Yaris Gazoo on the TT02 chassis, not the new one but the one from last year. At first I thought "who would want a Yaris?" but then I looked at it up close and decided I wanted a Yaris! I will probably get on but I really don't want to do all the decals! That is the hardest things about the rally cars is the livery!
Baseball field… I didn’t even think of that as an option when I looked at the rally cars T hobby town the other day lol that little thing moves pretty good too. Nice run video!
Oh it is the perfect spot for them! I went to the one right up at the courthouse area! I had a great time out there and other than they are instantly covered in dirt it is just pure joy sliding around out there! Thankfully a couple good blasts of compressed air and a quick wipe down and it is all clean and ready for the next time!
Thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed it! The pavement driving was fun but not as exciting to watch. The dirt was much more fun and I had a hard time keeping it in front of the cameras, I was having so much fun with it I was all over the place! It did a wonderful job collecting dirt for sure. I think the TL in TL01 stand for truck load!
Awesome run! It looked great doing those power slides and kicking up dirt in the ball field. A portable rechargeable blower will come in handy with the post running cleanup.👍😊
Thanks Sean! I had planned to mark out a little course to run out there but I quickly got caught up in the bog long slides and just kept driving!! It was too much fun and it drive really well even on the baldish tires! I have the corded air blower and I love it. I may end up getting a cordless one for days like this. It would be nice to dust it off before tossing it in the car!! It is not too often I am out driving somewhere else but it did make a mess in the back of the car I have to clean up still! I don't want my wife angry I have dirt in her car, she is the one that lets me have all the toys!!!
Thanks! It was fun on the pavement, not much to watch though. It was a balst on the dirt though and more entertaining to watch. The mud flaps Rex put on it did a great job at really keeping the dirt from slinging out super far but it still was a blast!
Excellent fun... just waking up and getting the buggies ready for a dusty day out hoping to get footage like this.... its now raining... joy 😂😂😂 Awesome content as always Addam
Well that stinks! We got a really big line of thunderstorms roll through a couple hours after this so i am glad we went out early that day. That and it was already boiling hit in the sun already so we stood in the shade while running them in both spots! Glad you enjoyed the run, it was a joy out in the dirt sliding it all around!!!
Great to see you indulging in some driving again mate, seems like you enjoyed it once you were out there! We all spend so much time hunting/collecting /building/restoring /modifying etc..... and sometimes totally forget that these are toys to be actually played with!! 🤣 Looked like a blast mate, loved the on board footage as she delicately drifted around on the dirt! She looked very smooth, in fact. suprisingly smooth bearing in mind the amount of debris she had managed to hoover up! Great fun mate, and worth the clean up afterwards I would say mate. 😉 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks buddy! It was a blast out there and the pavement driving was fun for me but not that great on video. The dirt was a blast and I had a hard time keep it in front of the camera! I kept getting all caught up in sliding around and next thing I knew I was way off in the middle of nowhere sliding all over the place! I was a little worried the tires were not going to get enough traction but it was great! It did a great job at collecting as much of the field it could!! I think the TL in TL01 stand for truck load, that is how much it had in it!!! Since it was all dry and dust it was pretty quick to get cleaned up
Tamiya has always been the best at creating a chassis to fit existing body shells and then slapping a bunch of different ones on it both old and new. They are also great about using parts from one series on another to save costs of tooling and design. Their bodies have always been super detailed and really scale accurate. I am glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Mark, I am glad you enjoyed it. I had a ton of fun making it. It was disgusting hot out and I was sweating in the shade but thankfully there was shade!! I had great time sliding all over and kept forgetting to keep it in front of the cameras!!!
I just love taking the rally cars out on this ball field, I can slide around there all day.. Except for this heat! Thankfully the dugouts were shaded and I stood in there letting it rip! Getting slideways with one of these is so much fun. It is like your little kid dreams of your hot wheels cars sliding around corners and stuff come true!
That was an awesome run vid Addam!, On board footage looked great👌. Can't believe how well it gripped on dirt with the road tyres mate👍. Thanks for sharing your run video Addam 😁🦘🇦🇺
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I was a bit surprised how well it gripped with the rather bald tires on it. I did not help them out by grinding them down further on the pavement prior to getting to the dirt either! It was a complete joy getting out the and sliding all over the place with it! I was going to mark out a little track there but got lost quickly in just drifting around and having fun. There is something just extra enjoyable about sliding a car all over like that!! Take care guys!
@@AddamsPlayground Hey yeh that's great fun mate, no rules just rip around wherever you want with zero stress😁. Thanks Addam you take care too and have a great weekend👍
@@Fonzierc I left most ot it there... Still had a lot of stuff in there when I got home but they kept most of it! Glad you enjoyed it out sliding around!!
Thank you Peter! It was a really fun time sliding it around out there! I was worried the tires were going to be an issue but they did pretty good out there!
It did run really well out there and it seems to be a great car! I am not sure if they will do a re-re of any of them or not. I have tried to stop guessing at what is next from Tamiya, they march to the beat of their own drum for sure!! LOL!! I am glad you enjoy the run!
Awesome run man.... now try the same thing with a TT-02 chassis... LOL. The car looked great on either terrain, no rally blocks needed. Great video dude!!!!
Thanks Bob! I have a tt02 I am working on that will be on/off-road rally type. It is meant for more on road but we both now sliding around in the dirt is way more fun! I know it will be a dump truck too carrying around more dirt than it should! I have a plan for that! I was surprised on how well it ran with the slick tires on it! Take care bud and have a great weekend!!!
By far one of the most beautiful bodies out there.!! Aside from planing the ball field, this car ran great. If it only came with a portable air compressor.! 🤣🤣🤣
I had a blast out running it around and it certainly looks the part. I love the little mud flaps Rex had installed on it! I have the corded air blower and I love it. I may end up getting a cordless one for days like this. It would be nice to dust it off before tossing it in the car!!
Dude! Awesome control of that thing! Let’s get everybody rally crossing their RC’s! Lmao yes it does collect all kinds of dirt hahahaha, i put a piece of lexan velcroed on top and side where holes are lol. The rally blocks i sent with the mudmad were suppose to be for this citroen. Hope you have more fun with it!
I was having so much fun out there sliding it all over I kept forgetting to keep it in front of the cameras! I think it is just too much fun sliding it around and just having a great time, nothing but smiles! Yeah I think the TL stands for truck-load because that it how much dirt came out of it! I did like the side guards you had glued in place and I do need to cover the opening again, I did not realize how much it was going to collect. Thankfully the driveshaft and all is down the side and not in the middle getting chewed to pieces! I did not think about the tires when I picked it up and was surprised on how well they worked out there on the sandy dirt! I will be getting it back out again for sure!!
Fun run! Slip, slidin on that ballfield! that sure is a lot of dirt. Are you sure that chassis shouldn't be a dump truck? Haha! That collects as much as the Thundershot!
It was a blast out there sliding all over in the dirt!! I do thing the TL in TL01 stand for truck-load!! It definitely can carry around some dirt with but all rally cars tend to do that unless you have a guard in place. The one thing I like about my TT01 rally is I have the mesh cover over the chassis so dust gets in but not all the rocks and stuff so it is carrying around a lot less mess!
Good thinking to bring a backup! A Tamiya rarely lets you down! 💪 I’ve been tempted to get a rally kit.🤔 Great footage, I enjoyed the fpv! Have a great weekend!👍😊
If I am going out to a spot to run a car I have learned to bring a plan B with me! It never fails if I drive to run something It will break in 5 minutes and I have to drive all the way home defeated! I had a blast with this on the dirt. It was fun on the pavement but after a little bit I decided we needed to drive to the ballfield and hoped it was not all torn up, It was perfect and the car drove well despite the bald tires! I had a great time and thankfully there was shade in both spots so it was a good day! Take care and have a great weekend too!!!
Hey there Lionel! i am glad you enjoyed it, I had a blast out there running it! So much so I kept forgetting about the cameras and was just running all over the place! I got enough footage to make the video but the was an awful lot of off camera motor noise in the recordings of a car way out of view!! LOL! I feel like this is the adult version of racing you hot wheels around a "track" and sliding around every corner saying "scccreeeeecccchhhh"!!! I still feel the same at least!!
Thanks! The mud flaps Rex had put on really keep the dirt slinging to a minimum. I tried getting some slow motions shoots but the angles didn't work out and without a ton of dirt slinging it wasn't that exciting. Next time with the rally block tires on there it should sling the dirt a little more! the slick treaded tires just was not aggressive enough.
Awesome running footage! Love the ball field drift! Effortless and great angles too! So in french we pronounce Citroen like this: See-troh-(N) Last part is just saying the letter N. See troh-N. Simps! Cheers
I am glad you enjoyed it! It was a ton of fun to make!! I had so much fun in fact I kept forgetting to drive in front of the cameras and was way out of view just drifting around! I was surprised how well the basically bald tires hooked up and made it very easy to slide wherever you wanted to... usually! 3rd base came out of nowhere and I slammed into but otherwise it went well! LOL! I suck at pronouncing words in English a lot of the times so toss in one I am not sure of and I am terrible! Thanks for the help!
The fun factor are really high with rally cars, they do collect a lot of dust and gravel but well worth the effort and time cleaning them after a run. Wonder if tamiya ever gonna do a ReRe on the TL-01 or atleast some of the bodies that was on that chassie.
I think the sliding around in the dirt with them brings all those days of sliding your hot wheels cars around pretending to slide around roads to life when driving them! that and who doesn't like seeing cool drifting turns and dirt flying out the back of the car!?!?! I don't knw if they will do any re-re kits of this chassis. I don't think it was a giant hit for them originally. I like it other than the fact it was trying to be a dump truck and carry all the dirt home with it! Like you said, a very common issue with any drift car but this was exceptional!
I an sorry to hear about your DR10. You may want to contact AMain. They may help you out. They were very nice to me when I had a problem. That car should be much more durable. I enjoyed the video of the TL-01. It brought back some found memories. The school club I started decades ago started with TL-01's. They are extremely durable as compared to the current Tamiya touring cars.
Thanks Michael! AMain is a great company and I have always had great customer service from them. I can't really blame anyone for the DR10 issue. It was just a bad bearing, I checked everything when pulling it apart and everything was built correctly so just a one in a million failure. Thankfully the parts were in stock and on sale. I got the upgraded metal gear set for a great price and I also got the rear sway bar set too! The TL01 is a great running chassis and the Citroen looked great on top of it. I was a little worried about the bald tires but they seemed to hook up really well and allowed for big long power slides! I had a great time out there and I am glad you enjoyed it!
@@michaeldorich4485 yes it was. Started with the DR10 and once it broke I switched to the TL01. The parking lot was fun but it needed to be in the dirt!! So we packed up and went to the ball field. It was on the way home anyways.
@@AddamsPlayground At first I didn't realize that your first video on the DR10 was the same day as the TL-01 run. That's why I repeated my comment about AMain that I made the other day. When I first saw today's video Ithought it broke again. I am old and I don't catch on as quickly as I used to.
welll the rally car was enough for this one. Great run looked like a quick little rig. Enjoyed watching. Sure does collect a few stones as it went around. lol Thumbs up bud
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed it out there sliding about. I had a great time! It was fun sliding around on the pavement but the dirt is always so much cooler looking and more fun. I was having such a. Good time I kept forgetting to stay in front of the camera and was just off running all over! It does carry some stuff around with it! It doubles as a dump truck!
It was much more fun to run in the dirt. I had to edit a lot out since I got so far away from the camera just enjoying the large slow drifts I kind of forgot to stay in frame and in range of the cameras!
Wow Addam, this was a fun watch for sure! It seems to handle the sand really well even without those blocked rally tires! It’s an impressive little beast! Looked like a great day weather wise. I hope you and your family have a great weekend!😎👍🏻🍻 🎉
Thank Robby! It did surprisingly well with the rather slick tires on there. I was worried it was just going to want to spin and do donuts but it went really well. It also doubles as a dump truck carrying all that dirt around with it! LOL! It was a nice morning out but in the sun it was boiling! It got very nasty and stormy later that afternoon but by then I was home tinkering on the DR10 figuring out one of the transmission bearings blew out. It was a very fun trip out though!
LOL! Yeah the beard needs a trim, it has gotten long enough to be in the danger zone of getting caught up in things! Sharp dressed man I am not! What you see in here is my official uniform now, basketball shorts and a t-shirt... 365 days a year!! Jeans only if i am working out side where my legs will get chewed up, otherwise I live in this!
Ah ha! Addam, the Citroen (if it helps my friend it’s pronounce Si-truhn) well, that was my attempt to help a friend with that phonetic doogle thingy 😂😂😂. Not sure if the Citroen C4 is sold in the States, but it is a fairly popular French car in Europe and the UK, especially with old people that still hold a grudge against Germany and German manufacturers 😂😂😂 (as I pass them in my Volkswagen Golf Car 😂😂). Back to the rally RC, it was a great runner and certainly an easy way to help rake the ball field 😂😂😂 still, it put a smile on you face my friend. Great running, filming and editing, your still hitting the mark 😊😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
Thank John! I have heard it many different ways and I am terrible with things like that. We don't have them here, if they are here they are only sold at very niche dealers and are not common at all. I am glad you enjoyed it sliding around out there, it was a lot of fun doing it! I kept forgetting to stay in front of the cameras though, I was all over the pace having a good time! It did pick up a lot of dirt out there, it seems to be part dump truck! I ran out an entire battery pack out there and both me and the car were hot and needed to cool off after that. The car got all cleaned up after I got a Slurpee! Take care!!
It was a blast out there sliding around all over! I had planned to get the hang of it and make a little course to try and drive but I had so much fun with the big long drifting turns I just kept on having fun! 3rd base just came out of nowhere and I slammed right into it! Thankfully no damage!
I was a bit worried about the bald tires out there but it did well! It was great time out there doing the big long power slides and just getting silly with it! I kept forgetting about the cameras and ended up all over the place out there!! I have the Insta360Go camera for the onboard footage. It is very small and light and does a pretty good job! It comes with a stick base camera holder that is easy to remove from the cars and it is a washable adhesive pad so it gets dirty you just rinse it off and let it dry and it is ready to use again. I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Awesome run. Looks ace and I’m totally jealous 😂 So I believe it’s pronounced ‘sit-tran’ and the car is ‘xar-ra ‘ The real wrc car was a beast . Colin McRae said it was the best rally car he had ever driven and Sebastian loeb dominated the championship in it . Great run 😊👍
Thanks Dom! It looks great and runs like a champ! It does double as a dump truck too with all the dirt it carries along with it! I have heard it pronounce a number of ways and I am terrible with saying some words properly, man French words do not mesh well with country accents! I do respect the rally driver in real life, I think they are kind of crazy but do respect their skills with a car! It was not something widely broadcast as I grew up so it was not something i followed but when I did get to watch a race I was amazed by it!
@@AddamsPlayground yeah same here with the French words . It’s good that motorsports can be accessed easier . I watch a lot of usa off-road and even a bit of nascar now . Usually highlights from 1986 or something 😂 recently watching the KOH and Baja stuff which I love .
Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it! I had a blast out there and I will go back for some more fun as soon as it cools down some!! To hot out there to enjoy it right now! Take care!
Looks like you had a lot of fun running it. How did you end up cleaning it (lots of disassembly or just compressed air to blow off the dirt or other?). Looking forward to the paint videos.
It was a lot of fun out in the dirt! I was sliding around all over the place. I used the compressor to blow off most of the dirt from the chassis and then a smaller paint brush and some more light air to get rid of all the stuff from the stubborn to reach areas and to try and not blast dirt into things like the transmission and diffs areas. I then just wiped it down with a microfiber towel wet down with my favorite cleaner, Spray Away! The body got wiped down with the same thing first. I will get the paint videos loaded and they should start probably next Saturday. I had another very cool thing jump into the queue that will be out on Wednesday!
Thanks! The parking lot was not terribly exciting so I had to get creative with the best of the clips! The ball field was much more fun and I had to keep myself in check as I was having so much fun I kept driving way off camera and way to far away! It worked out with enough footage and I had a blast doing it!!! I am glad you enjoyed it!
It was a blast out on the dirt. I had fun on the pavement but that was not the best viewing. The dirt ball filed is where this was a ton of fun and those big long drifting turns were too much fun.
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the run! I had fun on the pavement but it was not too exciting to watch on video. The dirt is always fun and I wanted to get more cool slow motion shots but I kept forgetting to drive in front of the cameras! I was having too much fun sliding all around! I will get this and the Subaru back out there soon I hope.
"Sit-roh-n", "Sit-roh-en", "Sit-rin" or "Sit-ron" are all pretty much interchangeable here in the UK.! 😉 I use Sit-rin. I'm sure that really helps you.! 😉 😉 😂 😂
So what I am hearing as long as I don't call it a Citrus-run I should be good LOL! I have heard pronounced all those ways so I can't remember which is proper or not, seeing as we don't have any here in the US it is not a normal one to say at all! LOL!
LOL!! very true! It did a part time gig as a dump truck! I had dumped out some earlier when driving and it had rolled over once too so it was very good at collecting dirt quickly! Fun though!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I guess this body and livery is a popular one. I am fairly ignorant to rally racing history, it was never really a big thing here until the last 10 years or so. Growing up I rarely saw much about it but when I did I was amazed by it! I could never go flying through crazy terrain like the real driver do, they are a special breed! I prefer mine in the tiny format where I won't go flying off the side of a mountain or into a tree row!!
Love you trying to pronounce Citroen 😂 it is French dude you need to work on your accent! Great rally rip on the ball field buddy! You need an XV01 pal
Yeah, me trying to pronounce some foreign words is like a drunk trying to tell a story... it is slow, hard to understand and you are probably not sure what I am trying to say! LOL! This was fun on the pavement but a complete joy on the dirt! I was worried about the fairly slick tries being a problem but it just took off and ran great!! I know I need to get a proper rally car, I will! Things keep popping up and re-shuffling the list of priority!!! I just got something I did not expect to get right away but it is here, it looks amamzing and I am going to get it out today and make a video of it! I cannot wait and think it is absolutely the coolest thing I have seen in a very long time!!! I won't say what but I will have a video of it on Wednesday!
I love the dirt drifting! Great video! New sub here!

Kicking up that dust is exactly what that car needed, looked great 👍🏻
It was really fun sliding it around on the dirt. The pavement was fun for me but the dirt was much more entertaining for everyone! It did a great impression of a dump truck as well with all the dirt and gravel it had stowed away inside the chassis!
This looks fun great rally Addam
Love it! I used to have that rally car in a 1/32 scale slot car back in the day! It is nice in the dirt!!
Wow the Citroen! It seems very easy to drive, perfect dampers and good power . Perfect location on dirt. Very very nice. Ciao!
@@AddamsPlayground yes the camera sometimes is forgotten.....
Nice run on the 4th.. Atleast ya had a backup.. Footage came out good brother.. Thanks for sharing..
Awesome run Addam it reminded me of my senton when you turned it over and shaked it
Yeah, that is a great little dump truck too for carrying around loads of dirt! LOL! It was a lot of fun and well worth the clean up time to get out there and slide around all over the place. I was going to mark out a little track there but got lost quickly in just drifting around and having fun.
Loved the ball field pov. I have a TA02 set up for rally with a Toyota Gazoo body.
@@AddamsPlayground I took the less is better approach with the decals
Baseball field… I didn’t even think of that as an option when I looked at the rally cars T hobby town the other day lol that little thing moves pretty good too. Nice run video!
Oh it is the perfect spot for them! I went to the one right up at the courthouse area! I had a great time out there and other than they are instantly covered in dirt it is just pure joy sliding around out there! Thankfully a couple good blasts of compressed air and a quick wipe down and it is all clean and ready for the next time!
Sweet run Addam! That was so fun to watch. The ball diamond was epic, despite it best hoover impersonation. 😅 Awesome brother 👊🏻👊🏻
@@AddamsPlayground oh yes.. happy wife, happy life. Best get that cordless blower out the next run.😅
That looks like a blast on the ball field.
Pretty cool little car.
Thanks! It was fun on the pavement, not much to watch though. It was a balst on the dirt though and more entertaining to watch. The mud flaps Rex put on it did a great job at really keeping the dirt from slinging out super far but it still was a blast!
Excellent fun... just waking up and getting the buggies ready for a dusty day out hoping to get footage like this.... its now raining... joy 😂😂😂
Awesome content as always Addam
Well that stinks! We got a really big line of thunderstorms roll through a couple hours after this so i am glad we went out early that day. That and it was already boiling hit in the sun already so we stood in the shade while running them in both spots! Glad you enjoyed the run, it was a joy out in the dirt sliding it all around!!!
@@AddamsPlayground we were very lucky.... the bowl dried up and we have some good footage here. It did start raining again just as we packed up.
Great to see you indulging in some driving again mate, seems like you enjoyed it once you were out there!
We all spend so much time hunting/collecting /building/restoring /modifying etc..... and sometimes totally forget that these are toys to be actually played with!! 🤣
Looked like a blast mate, loved the on board footage as she delicately drifted around on the dirt!
She looked very smooth, in fact. suprisingly smooth bearing in mind the amount of debris she had managed to hoover up!
Great fun mate, and worth the clean up afterwards I would say mate. 😉
👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks buddy! It was a blast out there and the pavement driving was fun for me but not that great on video. The dirt was a blast and I had a hard time keep it in front of the camera! I kept getting all caught up in sliding around and next thing I knew I was way off in the middle of nowhere sliding all over the place! I was a little worried the tires were not going to get enough traction but it was great! It did a great job at collecting as much of the field it could!! I think the TL in TL01 stand for truck load, that is how much it had in it!!! Since it was all dry and dust it was pretty quick to get cleaned up
@@AddamsPlayground
"Truck load"!!! 🤣 😂 🤣 😂
I love the body on the TL01 it’s cool how simple Tamiya makes the platform of the car and the body a lot more scale for a good price!
Awesome video!💯👍
Tamiya has always been the best at creating a chassis to fit existing body shells and then slapping a bunch of different ones on it both old and new. They are also great about using parts from one series on another to save costs of tooling and design. Their bodies have always been super detailed and really scale accurate. I am glad you enjoyed it!

Addam's out there panning for gold at the baseball diamond again,
Oh Addam.
Man oh man! That thing was full of dirt!! It also doubles as a dump truck!
@@AddamsPlayground I can half-remember as a kid thinking "tub chassis... jerks" when I did the same with my grasshopper, lol
Great video mate And nice power sliding 👌
Thanks Mark, I am glad you enjoyed it. I had a ton of fun making it. It was disgusting hot out and I was sweating in the shade but thankfully there was shade!! I had great time sliding all over and kept forgetting to keep it in front of the cameras!!!
That brings back memory's,😀 I had one when they first came out , wish I still had it , Cool video Addam

Nicely done ✅ I hope no one charges you for taken the field way with you 😂
@@Fonzierc I left most ot it there... Still had a lot of stuff in there when I got home but they kept most of it! Glad you enjoyed it out sliding around!!
Great run Addam, the Citroen looks really sharp 👌
Thank you Peter! It was a really fun time sliding it around out there! I was worried the tires were going to be an issue but they did pretty good out there!
The chassis is old but still a great one. I wish tamiya would do a rere of the tl01. Great vid!
Hon instead of home lol
I love the brushed motor
oops, that happens, By the time I am done editing I just want to be done and sometimes miss errors even though I read them back! LOL!
I’ve been tempted to get a rally kit.🤔
Great footage, I enjoyed the fpv!
G'day Adam mate you took me back again to when I was a kid lol still look fun as an adult great video mate 👍👍
Looking great on the dirt Addam bet some slo mo footage of it kicking up the dirt would look awesome dude 😊😃😃🥇
So in french we pronounce Citroen like this:
See-troh-(N) Last part is just saying the letter N. See troh-N. Simps!
@@AddamsPlayground Was the TL01 video filmed on the same day you took out the DR10 for it's first run?
@@michaeldorich4485 yes it was. Started with the DR10 and once it broke I switched to the TL01. The parking lot was fun but it needed to be in the dirt!! So we packed up and went to the ball field. It was on the way home anyways.
@@AddamsPlayground At first I didn't realize that your first video on the DR10 was the same day as the TL-01 run. That's why I repeated my comment about AMain that I made the other day. When I first saw today's video Ithought it broke again. I am old and I don't catch on as quickly as I used to.

I was having such a. Good time I kept forgetting to stay in front of the camera and was just off running all over! It does carry some stuff around with it! It doubles as a dump truck!
This looks like a fun little ripper
For a second there, I thought you were going to break out in a rendition of “Sharp Dressed Man.”
Looks ace and I’m totally jealous 😂
So I believe it’s pronounced ‘sit-tran’ and the car is ‘xar-ra ‘
The real wrc car was a beast .

I had another very cool thing jump into the queue that will be out on Wednesday!
awsome bro, sweet edit..
Is tamiya tl01 2wd?
It is a 4wd kit but you can take out the driveshaft and run in in a RWD configuration and just have the front wheels freewheeling.
yeah Looked like fun
It was a blast out on the dirt. I had fun on the pavement but that was not the best viewing. The dirt ball filed is where this was a ton of fun and those big long drifting turns were too much fun.
Man love the car bud looks awesome I really like it man I'm a big fan of wrc from 90s 2000s I'm currently doing a nothern escort cosworth 👍
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed the run! I had fun on the pavement but it was not too exciting to watch on video. "Sit-roh-n", "Sit-roh-en", "Sit-rin" or "Sit-ron" are all pretty much interchangeable here in the UK.! 😉
I use Sit-rin.
LOL!
I think it is pronounced 'sh*t-right-in' especially considering how much of the ball field it hoovered up!
LOL!! very true! It did a part time gig as a dump truck! I had dumped out some earlier when driving and it had rolled over once too so it was very good at collecting dirt quickly! Fun though!
Really neat. I'm jealous. Lol.
Hey nice shirt 😁
Yeah, it is a pretty nice one!
Sit rone or sit ro in 😂
Yup, something like that! I have heard it a dozen ways so that is about how I do it! LOL!
