How do you figure that, the x5 is a 5 seater hence the name X5! so that would compete with the Audi Q5 not the Q7 so the comparison with two seven seaters is correct
@@briantye110 depending on the market you can spec the X5 with 7 seats as well. And the Audi Q5 competes with the X3 not the X5. Audi doesn’t have a GLS/X7 competitor so people end up comparing the Q7 with them!
@@sanchaynarain3532 I know what your saying but people probably compare them because all the common stats are pretty much identical engines outputs , gearbox, performance ,weight and size , tech and trim level . So Audi may not make the Q7 to compete directly with the X7 but being nearly identical in most areas does make them 100% comparable and I think that’s why most motoring journalist put them head to head.

X7 is a POS...I owned one for less than a year all sorts of issues, totally unreliable. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Love the Q7 I replaced it with, no issues.
Got the 16 Q7 airmatics on 20”. Recently tried the X7 LCI on 21” and although both are extremely comfy, the X7 is definitely a step above. The comfort setting in the Q7 rebounds too fast and doesn’t settle down quick enough so I leave it in sports mode (maybe cause the airmatics are a bit old). The comfort mode in X7 is softer yet it rebounds perfectly without any unnecessary additional movements (similar rebound to Q7 in sports suspension. Comfier than a RR Sport and Vogue too). Super impressed. The X7 is surely a natural progression from a Q7. 100% upgrading my Q7 to an X7 once my budget permits
A shame the Audi's exterior (especially around the rear) is barely changed from the 2005 original.

Why no Audi Q8? Both the Q8 and X7 start at around $145k, the Q7 is more of a X5 competitor at $115k starting.
