The only time the map theme destroys the preparation theme because you have no time to prepare or to hope only to fight, gotta love it

That image has some "Chosen by the Planet" vibes and I'm *here for it.* ...hmm, maybe this is related to the many reasons I love Edelgard so much. Harmed so much as a child to make her powerful, and became aloof as a result. Fiercely dedicated to her goal and will accomplish it by any means necessary, no matter who she has to kill, no matter what she has to burn down. I like characters who become monsters because of what was done to them, turning their suffering into a weapon to cut down everyone and everything that gets in their way. Long live the Flame Emperor ♥

Ironic considering that Byleth is arguably a bit akin to Sephiroth whose theme is Chosen by the Planet and yet he takes the complete opposite path to the One Winged Angel as the Ashen Demon ironically enough between him and The One Winged Angel actually is the Hero of the story whereas Sephiroth is the Villain... i mean for crying out loud, Rhea would probably wanna go all Red Canyon on Hojo for many reasons (VERY many reasons, and Cloud, Vincent, Edelgard and Hubert ironically enough, Hapi, Lysithea, and Byleth and Shez... and maybe Zack considering... the implications of FF7R would be watching Hojo getting the Nemesis treatment while eating popcorn and Sothis alongside Arval are providing snarky commentary cause as much as the mind gremlins hate each other... let's be honest, both Sothis and Epimenides would see Jenova as the larger mutual threat and put their feud on hold to deal with her and her Envoy) one of the big ones being him either being dumb and or short-sighted enough to have those damned documents without context out in the open without any proper security measures or locks or whatever or did it ON PURPOSE to see what would happen cause science and he be like that while Rhea was smart enough to make DAMN SURE that when the truth behind Byleth's origins and the like came to light, it only happened when EVERYTHING related to that, including key bits of context and her perspective could be revealed to ensure Byleth didn't go off the deep end like Sephiroth did. Granted, Sothis seems to be an opposite in innumerable ways to Jenova, including being a good albeit flawed person whereas Jenova was a sick, twisted evil piece of work and while Jenova was a complete parasite and caused multiple worlds to die off completely, Sothis seemed to be far more symbiotic to the planets she came to, in fact it could be argued that she strengthened and helped in this context the Lifestream of any Planet she was living on grow and become better and more verdant in terms of life spreading if what she pulled off in the years before her murder was any indication... in fact... we... sure that we've actually seen Jenova's true form? Yeah, we've never seen Sothis' but everything points to her being a Divine Dragon in her true form (even if that definitely doesn't narrow down what she looks like specifically cause they can take many different forms as seen between the games taking place on Marth, Robin's, Chrom's, and Lucina's world, Fate's as it's implied somewhat that Anankos, Corrin, Lillith, and Kana are Divine Dragons, Engage which clearly IMO seems to point towards Divine and Fell being two sides of the same coin just like Earth and Shadow, and of course the Fodlan games themselves, a lot of variance in what a Divine and Fell for that matter Dragon can look like) between the fact that this is Fire Emblem, so yeah and the forms the Nabateans take when shifting alongside her connection, while arguably not quite as potent as Naga's as she makes up for that with power over Time, to Life, that should be obvious... but if we've never actually seen Jenova's true form...
Considering both the Norse and Gnostic influences on FF7's world combined with how in the case of the latter, the Demi-urge Yaldabaoth among his descriptions with Jenova being the Yaldabaoth stand-in in this case, at least one of the forms Yaldabaoth takes is that of a serpent IIRC and we HAVE seen multiple Dragons in Fire Emblem with some form of Serpentine appearance or traits, hell the largest threat in the whole series due to how they're the only one who can achieve their goals, Grima, has the body of a massive serpent with 6 enormous angel wings so.... Jenova being a Dragon with serpentine traits in her true form... it'd both fit the Gnostic themes of FF7 AND it wouldn't be out there as well.... doubly so considering otherworldly Dragons are in at minimum one other FF, XIV to be specific....

@@raoullupin5412 I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, whether you're telling me I'm wrong or if you're agreeing with me or what. Granted I'm pretty dumb, so I might just be having reading comprehension problems.
Though there is one thing that stood out to me or just one thing that I disagree with. I don't think Jenova is a "sick, twisted evil piece of work." Antagonistic yes, dangerous, malicious, but her ultimate motivation is to complete her life cycle, isn't it? I wouldn't call that evil per se, any more than I would call a leech or a tiger evil. But then, maybe I play a little too much Monster Hunter, in which the big dangerous Elder Dragons that you slay to save humankind aren't evil, they just innately threaten humanity.

@@waxwinged_hound No I'm agreeing with you here, I'm just saying it's ironic due to 3Hs protagonist and FF7's villain having somewhat similar backgrounds, but took very different paths in life.

I like how as the violins start taking over, the emotions of fighting in a war are replaced by a sense of loss, sorrow, and pain. The violins playing are like a reminder that everything has changed, and there’s nothing we can do to get back what bliss we lost. Then the theme tries to go back into some heroic-type music with the horns kicking back in. But it feels like the heroic violins of glory are having a hard time playing by themselves because it’s just overpowered by the other instruments that are conveying that sense of despair and impending doom.
It works so well when playing other routes but most especially with Azure Moon and Crimson Flower.

This song is so much better in Crimson Flower than other routes.
Everything Edelgard’s done so far has led up to this point. This most crucial of battles that, if successful, will not only deal a major blow to the toxic Church of Seiros but start a war that would come to change all of Fódlan for the better.
As much as Byleth is the main character, this is Edelgard’s fight.

When I first played the Blue Lion's Route, this part of the game shocked me. I thought everything was going to be like a high school anime from the way things were going until Papi Jeralt died and things started to go downhill. Having to defend Garreg Mach was gut-wrenching.
