Think of it this way. Lets say they charge $250 more on a full size 1:3 scale statue. Shipping is only $4. So that extra $250 odds are, is cheaper than it would normally would be with a normal shipping rate.
One massive MASSIVE perk of SpecFictionShop, that you forgot to mention, is that they will transfer your preorder/downpayment money from one statue to another. Ive done it twice. XM BWL to MH Studios Tifa. As well as JND Studios Mera to both JIMEI PALACE Perona and PureArts Lady Dimitrescu. I talked to Todd and he was very cool about it. I almost exclusively buy from him for resin statues and SS for PCS.
I've done that once with them years ago, but lately they've been pretty firm about losing the NRD when you cancel an order, which I understand. I get that it's an inconvenience for them when you do it. I still think their NRD's are pretty high compared to places like Sideshow though.

On spec fiction it’s $2150 with free shipping and no tax ( idk why spec never charges me tax) so that’s a huge difference in price However, as you mentioned. They’re are very loose with their preorder deposits. Even “non refundable “. I recently just cancelled PCS Elena , Oniri zodd and Prime 1 Jon snow AND returned HMO Felicia and PCS 1/3 Wolverine from my pile of loot for store credit.

my knowledge is limited to anime-type collectibles but, something I think worth mentioning is buying licensed items from stores based outside of Japan usually gives a delayed release date since those stores need to wait to get them in stock from Japan, while Japanese stores are already shipping them to customers. for example, I ordered the bishoujo Morrigan through BBTS and am still waiting for them to get it in stock so it can be shipped. Right Stuf is kind of like BBTS but focused just on various types of anime goods (figures, books, weapon replicas, clothes, games). their strongest point is that their packaging for shipping is probably the best around. they calculate shipping during checkout so you know how much you'll be paying in total, you pay when it ships, and they don't care how much you cancel preorders. they only ship with FedEx. Good Smile US is also good if you want a variety of anime goods. for them you're not charged at checkout if you use a CC but you are if you use paypal, but they do allow cancellations and will give a full refund as long as it hasn't shipped yet. they let you pick from quite a few shipping options. Good Smile's global store has some caveats. you don't pay at checkout, but they don't accept cancellations. they have a flat rate for shipping and only ship EMS (post office) so shipping fees would be low, however... this is kind of a problem right now considering Japan EMS to Canada is still closed. I've seen a lot of people saying their preorders have been stuck in "waiting to ship" since GSC isn't sending them through another shipping company. they could be an option for anyone that lives somewhere EMS from Japan is open, though. CDJapan and Aitai Kuji I haven't used a lot but didn't have issues with. like Right Stuff and Good Smile US they have a wider variety of anime goods but instead are both based in Japan. AK specifically is better if you want the, I guess "lower end" type of collectibles, like clothing, plushes, and small figures that would be put into gachapon machines. their site's kind of a pain to navigate, though. I haven't used them but what I've been told is they also use DHL but unlike AmiAmi they tell you shipping cost at checkout. apparently they won't make you pay more if the price increases before shipping but will refund if the price goes down. their packaging seems pretty bare so you may be more likely to have to contact them about damages. if you're preordering something just make sure it's being sold by Amazon JP.

I'm in Canada but their packaging has always been top notch. Never an issue. I always get dinged with custom fees no matter where I order from but it's definitely no worse ordering from them. Maybe even slightly better if I remember right.

amiami, u can always create a new account and dont put the address first, because they do banned your address, secondly sometimes they allow more than 3 x cancellations, i had about 5 or 6, just that i did not cancel all at once, i cancel once every few months

Hi there, I'm not actually familiar with this site. On first glance it looks like a company out of Vietnam (I see Vietnamese all over the site). I'm not sure if you're local there, but if so, I would try to find a storefront if they have one to verify their legitimacy. If not, I would check their social media. If they have a big FB following, a history of over a few years and lots of good reviews. I would be far more comfortable purchasing from them. - Good luck!

solarisjapan is another one i use like amiami but you get points from them which dont expire i know amiami points expire now. check it out
I use Solaris sometimes too, but their website is not as great imo. Mandarake is even worse lol. Not sure if you ever use them.
