Oh man haven't been to Duthie in many years and Double Trouble by far my favorite trail. Every single jump has been rework since I've been there and the work on the end, makes everything after the step down just 🔥🔥🔥
Was just looking for a video showing off the trails at duthie so I could try and learn some of the harder trails and came across this, by far the best video I've seen of the local trail systems that shows off the full trails!
Just picked up my first bike (Marin San Quentin) and hit up Duthie for my first proper MTB ride ever. Stumbled my way up to dueces wild as my first trail. What a fun trail that is with the whole dual slalom design. I also saw on another UA-cam video that it's a bit of a challenge to only pedal down the starting ramp on that trail and pump the entire rest of the way. I was able to do it but damn that was a workout lmao. Didn't get to checkout too many trails since I'm so new, my stamina is terrible. But wow what a place. You really couldn't ask for a better place to progress. I knew I would be off to a quick start in MTB because I rode BMX bikes for years. So the bike control is mostly there. But having the proximity to a place like Duthie is going to do wonders for progression. Such a sick park and a great video. You did a great job showing it off.
Nice, I just went over there for the third time last Thursday and hit my first black diamond run, gravy train. You make it look so easy. Duthie seems like a great place to learn
nice 👍🙂. Yesterday I tried Bootcamp on my 10 years old bike for the first time, loved it so much so I bought Fuse Comp 29 in Oregon. picking it up in a couple of weeks. Cant wait 😀
I live in Washington, and I highly recommend duthie hill as a mountain biking spot. It has a variety of great trails, and is good for beginners. Even though Stevens pass has some good trails, you need to know it’s not for beginners and you really need disk brakes there. Lord hill is like duthie, so you can go there as well
@@trailreviews3628 For Sure! Duthie is great. Tons of opportunities to learn new skills and practice Mountain Biking. Also I didn't realize the HLC drop was finally finished. Looks super fun
I just went today for a trail and air skills lesson, we went on voodoo child, and those tabletops have so much potential, for me it's hard to clear them because of all the bumps
@@Spencer_Bikes wow that’s a nice trip. Galbraith is for sure my favorite of them just because of the variety, but since Duthie is so close, it’s an awesome place to practice. The jumps at Galbraith are so forgiving and well built , it’s crazy. Definitely built by professionals there!
Great vid! I have slowly been working on my jumping skills (always ride solo, so tend to take progression a bit slow). Have no issues clearing all of gravy train. Thinking HLC is my next logical step (never tried it yet). Any suggestions for next couple trails to progress on at Duthie?
Thanks! I’m planning to make a series to the progression of trails at Duthie in order, but I think HLC or Semper would both be great steps after Gravy Train. From there, you could do squirrel probably
Hlc was the trail I did next after learning gravy train, in my opinion it's a great step up from gravy without throwing you too far out of your comfort zone!
I have a 29er, and I think it dominates in overall capabilities. I'm blasting most jumps higher than others can, and 29 has no effects. They are also a lot faster as well, which makes boosting more fun. They don't seem to take away the easiness to give style either. I've tried both and much prefer 29 on everything
@@trailreviews3628 Wow Ok! I have a 29er and i am 5 ft ish (still a kid) and i was kinda disappointed in my 29er because i heard that 29ers cant jump as well. If i do want to switch out my 29ers for 27.5 in the future can i or will that bike not work as well. Thanks for the feedback!
@@elis.5450 you could, but it’s most likely that it’s the bike causing you issues instead of the wheel size. 27.5 wheels on a 29 bike won’t feel that great
Hey were you at duthie on Tuesday working on the trails in the paramount/semper area? If so I think I saw you there if not just someone who looks very similar to you lol
@@cavancornelius4925 flying is probably better cuz most of the jumps on semper are either sharkfins transfers, or just some black level jumps meanwhile squirrel last 2 are perfect for progression

Epic, I live quite close and I haven't been there in a year.
I am also going there tomorrow.
@@tilmanseide4673 Nice! Have fun out there!!!
Just the vid I was hoping for bc I’m moving across the street from there in a month, thank you!
Duthie is the best! Rehab is my favorite trail.
That’s a good one!
flying squrriel is the best trail i tried it its so fun
Looks fun!
Twelve step is almost rebuilt and the first half of semper is running really good right now
I’ve helped a ton on 12 step, and shaped the 3rd and 4th on Semper

What a great trail system.
You've just put a destination on my bucket list
Glad to hear that!
Epicccc! I’ve been waiting for this! I love how this shows how great and well made Duthie is. We are so lucky to have it so close.

Awesome trail biking video. Can't wait to try out duthie. Just purchased a new specialized Elite rockhopper

Thanks so much! Tried going with some new colors for this video! Looks like people like it so I’ll keep going with this!

Thanks haha! That jump is so much fun!!!
I had to bail that jump midair Cuz I was going too slow to clear it
Such a great review. Really puts in to perspective how good Duthie really is. Keep up the good work!

One of the better chest cams I've seen, nice job man
Thanks! Glad you like it, but it’s a chin mount!
I can finally do flying squirrel!
Also, whatever camera setup you are using looks great.
Thanks! I changed my settings and got a new Hero 9 too under warranty. Old one got wrecked
Totally awesome video. Can't believe I watched the whole thing but well done!

Also the quality of the video is amazing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video I was shocked by how you got such good video from the POV angle. How did you get such good color and what was the rig you wore.
Thank you! I have a video on my channel about GoPro angles and settings for details. I use a chin mounted GoPro
Good stuff dude!
Heading up in June, pumped!

Real quick, do you have a video on GHY? I haven't been able to find a video on the trail if you have one
I don't sorry. That trail is kind of out of commission

I need to get out and do a dig day there. With more riders, a lot of brake bumps, and worn lips are showing up.

I still need to figure out how to hit Gravy Train
It's pretty simple and easy in terms of technique in the first part but the last 3 or 4 jumps are a bit harder and scarier
Wait when did they change the first part of hlc
A while now
what bike do you ride?
What state is this mountain bike resort in
