Somehow she managed to win this when I think she has no right to ... applying just enough pressure to force errors out of Muguruza but not so much that she makes errors herself. I think trying to slow things down also helped. Muguruza was on fire there and somehow Maria came through.
Suprised at 2 ladies having the same situation when they won their GS. After glorious AO2008, Masha had shoulder injury that made her changed her style. Less flat ball, less agressive than the pass. And Muguruza won the FO2016, she also changed in play style. But I love how they played in the pass.
