Mctwists are only Mctwists when you grab mute, everything else are variations of backside 5's, The girl commentating is ex UK pro Lucy Adam, presenting for the BBC , so in the heats they're not allowed to get too excited. Ask Neil Blender about the Lien airs because I reckon every one she called was correct.

They barely know any tricks because they are paid actors with no idea how to even skate bruh. Who hires these people? Seriously get someone who knows how to skate themselves and that can give some insight on the sport.

I don't care what your thoughts are- as a former street and mini-ramp skater ( late 80s / early 90s ) , the fact that Skateboarding is now considered an Olympic sport is amazing !! They're all winners in my book !!

LIPTRICKS are much harder than airs and need to be judged higher. the scoring is completely subjective on who the judges are who they know and their status in the industry. Get older pros to judge and pay them well enough to want to do it.
Lip tricks aren’t necessarily harder then airs, to blast around like pedro you have to have a deadly accurate reaction time and there is a great amount of precision that is required for them.
Now if we're talking about lip tricks in the street no I don't think they're harder at all and even in the bowl I don't think they're harder then catching air. The first couple tricks I learned were lip tricks bc they were easier to get down and built confidence in my skating. Don't get me wrong I learned the kickflip, Pogo, Casper (which is my favorite trick ever to do!) and stuff like that. But catching air is way harder and scarier to do then lip tricks any day. That's just me everybody else is different
this is exactly how I expected olympic commentating to sound like. A.I. would have more flavor.
oh, and when do we start taking points OFF for another 540 and another kickflip indy? 10 seconds of everyone's run is already 100% predictable.
If originality and self-expression count then please reward those who dare to skip the standards.

Could we please get rid of the commentators. They’re terrible. It just makes me want that. to mute the TV. However it would be great if we could get better people on there. It’s like they’re reading a book about something they don’t know. I’m trying to watch a sport that I ideally enjoy and it’s just ruining it for me.
