Same thing happens here in Canada, if you live near enough to the Alberta border in BC or Sask you can just take a weekend trip, buy a ton of weed and/or booze where the legal age for both is 18 and not 19 or 21, and go home having spent less money because Alberta only has a provincial tax and no general tax. A funny story I used to do in Ottawa is that the legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 but Quebec has it set at 18, and Gatineau is no more than a 15 min drive from where I lived. Places like Chicago, Illinois also had the Democrats raise gas prices with the hidden taxes. Not only do you Pay federal taxes on gas, you pay state taxes, and all corporate taxes will always get passed down to the buyer. Whoever is dumb enough to repeat the Democrat slogans about taxing the corporations are truly not thinking at all because that means the buy pays higher prices, typically it’s the poor that suffer the most from Democrat corporate tax increases where product prices raise. In the same way as a landlord I’m not making any more money despite the fact that I’ve had to repeatedly raise rent. So if you’re enjoying rent increases thank a Democrat or stop voting for them. Their ideas seem to want to make everyone equally poor and it’s working. But people are waking up and it’s not gonna work for much longer. The legal unsupervised age (INCLUDING ADULTS) is 21+ in the USA. Some states such as Michigan allow minor amounts of alcohol to be consumed for recreational purposes as long as a legal guardian is there for those under 21. In addition, some religious ceremonies also are excluded due to needing to use or consume alcohol for rituals. Yes I called them rituals, and that’s what they kind of are.
If you’re in your own house I’m pretty sure you’re allowed to give small amounts of alcohol to minors (like I know in some cultures kids do drink in small amounts, like it’s normal)
Things like eucharist literally are rituals by definition, so the word choice is totally justified, it's just that in the modern culture the word is associated more with animistic religions and witchcraft lol. Kinda silly in the end
With the exception of five states (Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, New Hampshire, and West Virginia), all states and DC allow underage consumption of alcohol under limited circumstances such as in the presence of parents, for religious or medical purposes, or while in a class that requires tasting
What people often forget is that its easy to think you should be able to drink as a 16/18 year old if you live in a country where you can get home drunk by bicycle or public transport. In a car dependent society 21 actually seems like a far more reasonable age

They did realise that’s the issue, so they made the age the same for everyone
Same thing happens here in Canada, if you live near enough to the Alberta border in BC or Sask you can just take a weekend trip, buy a ton of weed and/or booze where the legal age for both is 18 and not 19 or 21, and go home having spent less money because Alberta only has a provincial tax and no general tax.
A funny story I used to do in Ottawa is that the legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 but Quebec has it set at 18, and Gatineau is no more than a 15 min drive from where I lived. We'd regularly go out on weekends in a cab or with a dedicated driver and legally buy alcohol and bring it back across the provincial border.

Drinking to deal with PTSD can lead to alcoholism.
@@MrBeenus Y'all still don't get the point let's say the government put you in harms way and your 18 wouldn't you want to at least have the right to drink like every other god damn adult oh wait I forgot your not a adult until your 21 because adults have the right to drink so technically the government is sending minors to war...
Not all of them did!! Louisianas drinking age was 18 until mid 1996. I remember because i turned 18 in March of 1996 and a few months later it changed to 21. So, i had a few months where i could buy alcohol at age 18.
Fun Fact: Puerto Rico loses out on all their federal highway funds because they still refuse to raise the drinking age to 21
the fact 18 year olds can legally get something like an ak before a BEER is terrifying to think about
Wisconsin be like
Beer is a soft drink
Edit: to the 110 people who liked this
Wisconsin on top
lol, Wisconsin does have a reputation for loving beer!
@@carterburton can’t argue there
I see no flaw In your logic
19 in Canada but we all start around age 12.
Same in Serbia BiH and Croatia
Mannn, stop making us Americans jealous.
In poland from 3/6 years but legally you can from 18 (:
@@ZealousWinsit's alcohol bro it tastes like shit.
"Can i drink legally now?"
"No"
"Can I work at a bar and serve other people, legally"
"YES"
Thank you Michael we love and miss you. ❤and Elvis 2 and other celebs who passed away 😢
* dies of dehydration because you need to be 21 to drink *
As someone named Reagan, i apologize for all of the 18 year olds out there
Thanks so now we can be drafted and die on the frontlines at 18 but not be allowed to drink until 21 they should raise the military age to 21 if the legal age to drink is 21
Apologize for trickle down economics while you’re at
In Wisconsin you can drink with your parents, guardians, or spouse in private as long as they are 21 or older
Yall forgetting the loopholes.
How do I know this? One word- Wisconsin.
It's filled with Germans so no surprise 💀
Hey dad, can come to the bar with me?
@@thebleach_connoisseur2574 😭 the fact that I heard this too many times in Wisconsin is hilarious. Also, the law in Wisconsin is those under 21 can consume alcohol with a guardian or parent of legal age.
Alcohol is a culture in Wisconsin 💀
@@bratking4400 as a Mexican I NEVER thought Americans also could drink alcohol under 21 since they have a lot of respect to his laws unlike us Mexicans
@@josem588 💀 respect to the law. It might be like that but definitely not in the rurals. You ever met a redneck from the mountains?
"no beer, better start planning a jewel heist."
honestly it doesn't matter if 18 year olds are dumb, they're adults and should be treated like adults and if you are legally seen as an adult under the confines of the law than you're old enough to ingest any legal controlled substance in my book, the adult should be able to choose if and when they want to use a certain substance, the government shouldn't get to decide when an adult can do something of their own free will
Most of Europe has a lower drinking age than driving age and legal adult age. Children are introduced to alcohol and taught to consume it responsibly. USA has a weird obsession with alcohol, in other places even the thought of prohibition would get you laughed out of office.
Problem is that they don’t act like adults
@@SianaGearz wow guess americans are the only ones getting drink drivers
Guess europe is really the HOLY LAND where people can do no wrong
U really think we americans don't teach our kids to drink responsibly??
Or is it that y'all just parent their children better than us
They are treated like adults because they lowered the voting age to add more corpses in vietnam.
Like what else clasifies them as adults if they cannot be trusted by the government to not be stupid cunts.
@@TheGodlyPineapple Then up the age for what's considered an adult. But if you can legally be kicked out of your parents house, vote, buy a gun, and enlist you sure as hell should be able to smoke/drink
The last few frames on "letting 18 yr olds vote " part is crazy yet no one is talking about it
