The airport in a snowstorm, been there done that as an aircraft refueler, low pay thankless job, carrying 100# up a slippery rollaway aluminum step, walking on the slick runway, but got to see a different side of air travel.
This is why I like living in sunny, snowless, S Cal for the last 45 years, living the Good Life. No way would my friends here who grew up in MN or other parts of the mid-west would ever move back.
Ok I WON'T fly period!!! But there's no amount of drugs to knock me out or money to pay me to fly in this kind of weather. I don't understand how the pilots can see well enough to even take off!!!
They fly via what's called "IFR," or Instrument Flight Rules which means they don't fly using line of sight or using visual references. Instead they rely on their Instruments (altimeter, airspeed indicator, attitude indicator, heading indicator, turn coordinator, etc..). That, combined with instructions from Air Traffic Control, allows them to get to their destination unfettered.

And people wonder why real estate is so expensive in many parts of S Cal, esp. in Orange County where about two dozen Zip Codes have median home prices over a million. Was under $50k when I moved here back then. Oh, no tornados here either.
They seem to completely forget how over the summer. Quite annoying to those of us who don't forget, but also Quite comical to watch them spin out and hit the ditch.

Yes towing companies are making money. You should see how much they have invested.$$$
Ain't that the truth, a big heavy wrecker with a crane is upwards of $900,000
glad i was hammering 5-10 over all day and made it home before this started
Wow! The amount of equipment to keep that airport open.
aw so many lead footed people in a hurry to get to a wreck theirs

Surely you are not from Minnesota, this is pretty normal.
@@wolfman515 no...lol... Enjoy and be safe
I'm on the north shore of Lake Superior, we usually see the worst of Minnesota winter.
@@wolfman515 yeah so you see a lot of snow then

Usually do, starting slow this year though we've only got about 6 inches.

Booooo. Minnesota doesn't want you anyways! Lol.
Great video.People should watch these before going out.
Lord we ask for ur covering over these ppl that are travel on the road at this time
People just have to drive a lot more cautious than what they’re used to when times like these happen. 20 on a 60 is not a problem.

Mostly relying on radars.

Planes today can damn near fly without the flight crew. But I’m not getting on one without someone in the cabin 😂
Slower then normal to drive people, this isn’t the time to be speeding. Be safe please and get home to your families.

God bless all the people
The worst part is, everyone will be late for their Defund The Police meetings.
Defund the pigs was so long ago. We moved on to bigger and better things like locking them up.
