God, that Mustang looks good. Would be awesome to see road versions of these cars with ADR legal wings, etc. to celebrate these Gen3 cars.
be cool if they sell gen3 engine packages for the mustang and camaro guys
@@tturi2 Supercharger kits about 800 hp...
I am really pleased with how distinctly different they sound now. Not that them sounding similar with the 5.0 pushrod is bad, but hearing the difference in a Ford and Chevy makes me happy. Two ways to build a V8, and two different results in exhaust tone.
Never paid much attention to Supercars up to this point....now y'all have my attention
That's brilliant view of the ocean when Ford Mustang & Chevrolet Camaro zooming in the racetrack.
That Camaro!! 🤤🤤 got me drooling!
Now we just need an RC F out there. Come on Gazoo.
With GR having a hand in almost every type of racing I'm surprised they haven't built a supercar yet.
Supra 2026...
can't wait for these cars to roll out in 2032
😂😂😂
Final espectacular!! El rugido del motor con el mar de fondo. 👍👍🇪🇦🇦🇷
When it slowed down to take a corner it sounded similar to rolling thunder,...awesome I must say.
That Mustang looks and sounds stunning.
Yep sounds great with straight out exhaust, let’s hope they race them like this but I strongly doubt it…
@@scooter0958 that’s the plan
Needs a wind sock for the microphone down there in "Stoner Corner"
Interesting seeing it come down pit lane next to the current mustang supercar….looks so different. They sound awesome!!
Most will forgive a poorly framed or slightly dodgy video but that audio gets the video the flick
Is this the final look for the Gen3 Mustang? It looks absolutely fantastic aside for the Rear wing, i prefer the wing the mustang already has
No it’s not, it will be the same as the new Mustang that comes out later this year, the S650.
the new era of V8 Supercars has still diferent
Still planning for the 2023 season? Or looking more like 2024?
Hey Supercars, I think you need to have a chat to @Rode Australia to sort out your microphone issues…. I’m sure you can work out a deal with them for a dead cat and a lapel mic for the driver interviews about their experiences in your next video
Very windy, very unusual for Phillip Island....😉
I thought they were supposed to be sedans?
It’s only a few months before these need to go into production so all teams will be right to go for next season yet where not seeing any side by side action with these cars….. does anyone know if they ran these 2 nose to tail through turn 1 at the island???? That would be a test for them and to see if there is aero wash because all of this is a waste of time and money if the racing is the same.
love that livery
camaro sounds epic waw
the penguin awakening
We've built a similar car in 2017 with 600hp and a full carbon bodykit.
Question for anyone, how are these new spec cars going compared to the current spec cars, are they faster, slower ? Just curious and it's a genuine question, appreciate anyone's comments that's been following this development closely.
slightly less power and downforce but MUCH less weight (almost 200kg). the power to weight remains about the and the lap times are apparently similar.
Less weight & downforce more torque and not far off the gen 2 lap times already. I believe eventually gen 3 will produce faster lap times than gen 2 and the racing should be closer.
I must have diecast for this!!!
the Camaro looks really gud n sounds right.
you must be kiwi- gud stuff
camaro sounds no different to the current supercars, has that same typical pushrod V8 sound that mustang with that quad cam v8 tho, it sounds like a real deep in your chest rumble, if thunder was a sound for a V8 engine this would be it
Noticed that straight away. Prolly the coyote engine
Coyote's have a smaller bore but longer stroke compared to the LS, that's where to sound difference comes from.
The Mustang is running straight out pipes and has been since they have rolled it out…. Doubt they will let them run like this in race trip unfortunately….
The only way🤠
they cant be doing too much "testing" in the same pit bay
Supercars should change their name to Trans Am
The new(ish) Camaro looks sinister... I want one badly.
Shame they pretty much double the price for putting the steering wheel on the correct side.
Especially when you consider the Aussie tax payers effectively paid for the development of the platform a couple times over.
Hate to break it to you but the majority of the world drives on the left side of car and right side of the road. Only ones who don't for the most part are Commonwealth countries, Japan, and I think a couple more.
someone add some quality microphones to the budget... terrible recording
That Mustang is just on another level in looks, sound, all around. Good effort for the Camaro though. It's still cute.
Chevrolet 💪💪💪☝👌👏👏👏👏😍
Not sure what you're trying to say but you forgot this emoji.....💩
Always testing ... for racings sake race the bloody things
2:30 shows how mangled they had to make the mustang to fit the cof chassis 🤮
Not a fan of the sound or the looks. Prefer the last gen.
Kind of sad to see the end of V8 Supercars. It was nice while it lasted. This series is in serious decline and I struggle to see how it will maintain the same level of interest with these new cars.
Team Supercars. Seriously you have to be better than this with the sound. Great videos, great teasers but the sound and wind noise is embarrassing. You can afford a few better cameras. Please. Watch this and ask yourself what an F1 team or even a DTM or BTTC team would think about this quality. BTW we live the product and will continue to be fans and turn up.
Sorry guys, not impressed .I have been a motor sport fan all my life and would love to see variety, different makes and models, different engine configurations, real cars that you can go to a dealership and buy, like the days of the Australian touring car championship.
...and why the Camaro, the car is due for extinction soon?
You can already watch production cars so why not go watch that....you may be a bit lonely but it's there if that's what floats your boat.
Why bother ford mustangs win a couple races, 888 Holden boys will have a cry and slow them down again
Man that stinkin Chevy is UUUG-LY
the gen 3 cars should be paddle shited to be more MARKET RELIVENT
No
@@nickycrea6075 it's highly time the category gets with the modern times and stop living in the past
Paddle shift is really boring to watch
@@brad.979. the debate's over, they wanted something unique, they wanted the skill of throttle blip to remain.
No it doesn’t, how about abs, traction control and stability control 🤦🏼not every race car or category has to be fully modernised.
