- There are like over 20 versions of Hurricane by Kanye west that have been leaked and passed around for the last 3 years and I picked out some of the most iconic/best sounding and show how the song has evolved over the years.
Alright so this video is starting to blow up a little so i'll address a few things:
1. DONT SUB TO THE CHANNEL UNLESS YOU ENJOY THE CONTENT I NORMALLY POST! (unless you feel like it, I can't tell you what to do, its just that I normally don't post stuff like this and now a significant percentage of my subscribers are from this video)
2. I missed a few things in this video, most notably the Big Sean and Ty Dolla Sign verses and the industrial cashmere cat outro/bridge. If you want a more detailed history of Hurricane, go find the "Kanye west leak tracker" online. New versions of Hurricane and other songs are archived there, and some are still being leaked to this day.
3. My favorite hurricane version would be: OG beat w/ Ant Clemons hook and both of Ye's verses! for the record I like all versions of hurricane a lot.

- Listening Party 1 version that introduced Lil Baby, had KayCyy on the bridge and the early version of the final "mm mm mm mm mm" verse
- I don't know if Young Thug's vocals for this song ever leaked, but it might be out there

Soldier Field is the football stadium in Chicago where he ended up having his final listening party for Donda and he literally REBUILT HIS HOUSE on center field..... Really his song writing process is fascinating, as he said in diamonds from Sierra Leone, “I forget better shit then you ever thought of”, he just comes up with stuff and workshops them endlessly until he’s happy with it, he’s such a fascinating musician and his mind is just incredible
“Father stretch my hands” was the same way.. so was “new body” and “cash to burn”.. I could name quite a few I know for a fact went thru a similar process

Those sparkly plucks and bass line traded for the dramatic organ keys was my only heartbreaking moment for the current one. The vocal update and reverb enhancements are amazing.

Hurricane is one of the songs I hold closest to my heart. I've been bumping it since I saw the Yandi promo and download the leaks instantly. I remember being so excited when Hurricane was finally out, I was so ready to hear it. I put on Donda for the first time, and I started seizing in the middle of Hurricane. I fell into a shelf and almost got final destinationed by a picture frame on the shelf. I was bleeding out my temple. The seizure itself was bad too. My clothes were so sweaty it looked like I had been running in the rain. I used the last of my energy to drag myself into my bathroom, barely got myself into the bath tub and turned on the cold water. By the time I was in the bathtub, I couldn't see anything but white light, I was struggling to breathe, and every single muscle in my body was twitching, and my hearing was going in and out. When the water hit me, I came back. I could just hear the Weeknds'd hook. The person I was with thought I was fully dead at multiple moments during this. I felt like I was going to die. Hurricane is the sound of being alive now. Every time I hear the Weeknd say "I know you won't", I tear up a little bit. 10/10 shit, thank you for compiling this

Na the vocoder didn’t sound good just because it was disjointed and unfinished but it was clearly a placeholder until Kanye could find the right voice/cadence so i didn’t hold it against him
