I heard an Alaskan Malamute will help the burglars carry the TV out of the house.
So true
😂😂😂
They’ll even respond to email to tell you when the owner is on vacation
Also the Labrador
Annika..when are we getting married ?@@Animal-Watch
Please do the worlds healthyest/ longest living ones next!
Good idea!!
Especially if also large. Like the Giant Schnauzer.
These videos are some of the best quality I've ever seen. I'm so grateful.
A full breed Saint Bernard weighs between 165 to 220 pounds, mine is only 1 year old and weighs 170 pounds, definitely should have made the list.
Breed standard for a male St Bernard is 120-140lbs according to AKC.
Surprised the Great Pyrenees didn't make the list...not at the top, but certainly heavier than the 120 lb breeds at the 9 and 10 spots.
They even have a Mastiff Pyrenees, which is huge.
Love not only seeing all of the breeds but also love learning about them!
They're huge but beautiful they mind really well just amazing just amazing
Love the entertaining/ informative videos. Would love to see a video on the Airedale Terrier, and if possible some info on the Oorang (mountain) Airedale Terrier.
I love your show. I had a male mute that was 200 pounds when when he was older he was around 160 in his prime I love large dogs and I enjoyed watching your show. Thank you.
I love your youtube and love dogs. You have been enlightening and dimissed many myths. I find it to be a privilege to have these animals.
Thankyou xx
0:20 pausing right here to appreciate the beauty of this magnifient wolf
I’ve had big dogs all of my life. The biggest was my St.Bernard Kane. He was 33inch at the shoulder and was over 200lbs.
need one of them.
so much mass to cuddle 😊
Until they decide they want to watch TV with you and crawl into your lap .. ROFL ❤️💞 The big kids ARE adorable though 🤗 😍
My 9 month old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is already 122 pounds and 28” tall at the shoulder! 😅 he’s well on his way to becoming a certified House Horse 😊 he’s the best family farm dog ever!!! Especially with our kids and literally any other kids he’s ever met. He looks and sounds very imposing and intimidating, but for women and children especially he is a big marshmallow 🤎
Not filmed them yet!
@@Animal-Watch if you ever need one to film for a video, our boy Judge would be honored 🥰
Very underrated breed I feel. They are so great for those who want protection, low liability and high intimidation.
@@littlewigglemonster7691 I couldn’t agree more! He is the ultimate family and farm dog. I don’t doubt for a moment that he would kill for me or die for me - or for my babies! But at the same time he is super happy-go-lucky and every day is his best day ever 🥰 he is wildly perceptive of people though…I trust his judgment on strangers and environments 100%; which is why his name is Judge! He warded off his 8th coyote from our property today as well and truly looks rather scary when he’s in business mode!
@@RachyllCheyenne that's great :)
Love your videos, my dream dog is an Alabai, hopefully one day!
I’ve a alpine mastiff X Spanish Mastiff male he’s 75 kilos but gentle giant and my soul mate, he’s adored by everyone he meets even those who are a little nervous he’s pure love. 🎄🙏💕🤩
Nobody: Getting confused with weight units. Annimal Watch: Mixing up pounds, meters and stones.
Please make a video on top 10 protection dogs
I’ve done the Top 4 as there really is only 4 superior ones. ua-cam.com/video/icprvLY_tfQ/v-deo.htmlsi=6yPU0Xf6arzdVCB-
You have a awesome job with all the big animals I love to watch you every time a new animal you bring to your web site merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Merry Christmas and thankyou x
Wow, when I was a teenager my family had a Newfoundland and I thought he was large. The Mastiff is definitely a wonderful breed. I had a client in Seattle who had a Mastiff sanctuary. She had one part of her house that was just for the Mastiffs (They tore it up!). She moved from that home and bought another that was more Mastiff friendly. Since then, she looked at a home that was a combination of a horse stable on the ground floor and a 1500 square foot house on the second floor. She was talking about buying that and converting it for a new Mastiff shelter. I don't know if she ever did that though.
Mastador is the most athletic I have seen, lab and bull mastiff mix, great nature but strong as hell, took me a half hour just to bring him to my pace, love to run with Sammy boy though. Good for the uphill 😂
Never really known much about that breed 🤔
I love Leo burgers, very intelligent dogs and so gentle. I miss my Levi till this day. Awesome pet dog ❤.
Should include the Bully Kutta as well. They are big, strong, powerful, athletic, and healthy.
Enjoyed the video but some of the weight conversions were well off.
Well blame Google conversion then..
Very nice video, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the interesting and informative video.
I AM A VERY HAPPY PERSON WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO ME BEING ABLE TO ADOPT A DOG THAT IS SPECIFICALLY A DOG THAT IS ABLE TO LIVE IN A SPECIFIC SITUATION.
I have a 4 month St Shepard I have never had a puppy this heavy she must be 25kg already shes 4 months . I raised 2 Malamutes male and female they were both huge but the male was massive. I think think this pup is gonna be bigger then both of them. She is so well behaved and learns very quick.
Love the vids btw
Thankyou
Those alaskan Malamutes are really smart dogs. They do like to wonder and explore so having allot of land is best. Sure it might bring back a deer leg. Totally normal. 🤪😁👍
Hello Anneka ,would you please consider doing a video on the Dogue des Bordeaux aka the French Mastiff one of the largest and strongest dogs in the world.
I would love to but I haven’t found someone yet here in the uk with excellent examples
I like the malakli 😊
I love my two big dogs... though they didn't make your list... One is a Borzoi... about 33 inches at the withers, and 124 pounds...all the way from China. The other is a Shepherd-Mastin cross, from Spain. Both are rescues...
My English Mastiff was weighed 200 pounds. On her hind quarters she was over 6'2". She was the best ever.
In regards to the Molossuss did the owner take into account how the weight may impact the breed’s joints?
I feel so bad for them, they have way more hanging skin then the original molossuss and that makes them just ugly dogs and can cause skin problems, ...and the heavy weight is definitely not good for them and neither are the way too droopy lower eyelids that will cause all kinds of eye discomfort and problems... I wish people would not create life that will be in pain and discomfort just so the dog can look a certain way...
I love the channel🐕
The largest dog iv ever seen was up in the mountain region of Georgia used for watching over the sheep had collers with great big spike in so wolfs could not bite their throats
Anneka, Did you see the Shih-tzu and the teen-age girl hostage released. Interesting people can be enemies but all people love dogs💖🐶. May we have peace for Christmas. Love your channel. 😁Cheers 🍷🍷

Pyrenean mastiffs, Sr bernards Spanish mastiffs etc are usually above 80 kg
I love being reassured without citation that the person reading the script on the channel is super duper qualified within the first 10 seconds of the video that didn't take me click off then & there after leaving this comment
Great Danes my favorite ❤
My Irish Wolfhound is 100 cm at the withers and weighs cca 100 kg... and he's the goodest boy ever :)
They are a fabulous breed
Please tell me how you could forget maybe the most popular of the giants. The St Bernard?
Giant George, the great dane, was 44" at the withers and was the one you showed as photos
Sooo sorry; but those aren't "Dogs", they are Hounds -- why -- size makes all the difference. And they're all Gorgeous!! 🤩😁👍👍👍
I'm surprised the Kangal didn't make it ❤
Because the Malakli is larger. The large kangals are usually cross breeds or Malakli in photos. In real life, more like Sarabi
Thanks anneka 😊
@@Animal-WatchAdvice you to visit few places of mountain region of Turkey.....you will come to know what's called the King of Canine Family & why ? No Cross-breed.....they're Antolian Lions. Always No. 1 in any dog list
@@arijitm.3630 Do you mean the Boz shepherd?
@@kaloianmarinov7581 No, actually I was telling about Turkish Kangal onky but Turkish Biz Shepherds are also to be mentioned in this list
Would love to know where the Saint Bernard ranked in there. I have seen some very impressive ones.
They were fab and large when I met them. I would say around 6th. I sort of forgot them 🫣
Oooooo!super huge beautiful vdo mam🤩🤩👍👍
Thankyou x
All respect and appreciation, well done
could you do a video about the rafeiro alentajano (alentajo mastiff)
Never heard of this
@@Animal-Watch its a large portugeuse flock gaurdian which is used in the alentejo region of portugal. its name means: ''mutt of alentajo'' but its a full breed and very big. its also used in boar hunting.
@@Animal-Watch sadly theyre not very popular outside of portugal. portugal has 3 main flock gaurdians. the estrela mountain dog, the transmontano mastiff and the alentejo mastiff. which are all 3 not very popular outside of portugal
What about Saint Bernards and Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs? I had both (and miss them both so much!) and they were humongous! We rescued the St. Bernard from the animal shelter. He was a pup and was surrendered for becoming "too big". Duh!!! The GS was even taller than the St. Bernard, which is somewhat atypical. He was so handsome! I miss my two boys. Now we have a Newfoundland, a Caucasian Ovcharka, a German Sheperd, and a goofy Goldendoodle. Life is good!
Hello, may I ask why you have not Included saint bernard in you list.
The St Bernard breed standard tops out at 30" and 140lbs
Malakli is the biggest dog breed in the world. Also Anotolian shepherds aren't in the list.
Malaklı is an Anatolian shepherd dog. We can say that it is the cousin of kangal.
In the words of Mr. T “I pitty the fool” that underestimates the English Mastiff
They are incredible guard dogs
Do a video on the VEO/ EAST EUROPEAN SHEPHERD
My bro had an Irish Wolfhound. A very big dog. I saw that dog clear the dinner table with his tail. Unfortunately, my bro had to give the dog up. The incident involved one of his kids decided to take the dog for a walk. On the walk they encountered some children playing with a small dog. The wolfhound promptly charged at the smaller dog and grasped it in his jaws, then shook it to death. If that wasn’t enough he began to eat the dead dog. When I first heard of the incident, I thought the wolfhound would be euthanized as a result. But no, there was a law suit. My brother was ordered to pay a sizable monitory amount and was ordered to send the dog to a breeder who specialized in large dogs. That surprised us all.
You Should Review The Moscow Watch Dog There’s Also A Other Fairly New Breed In The Making For 30 Years Called The Northern Caucasian Volkodav Both Originally Bred In Russia
I’ve covered the Russian watchdog I think
My 92kg Leongerger 'Huggy Bear' was very disapointed not to be mentioned!
My Great Dane’s mother is 12 years old. If they are fed healthy raw or light cooking homemade food with nutrients, vegetables and fish with proper exercise they may live longer lives than 8 years old.
That’s an amazing age 🫶
She is now 13.
It is said that there is an animal that's half wolf half great dane. Legend has it he ate everybody and has not been seen since.
Cash 2.0 is the coolest big dog on UA-cam
you missed the best "The Gentle Giants, Leonberger's "
I looked for a American Bulldog video but didn’t see one! Did I miss it?
So got to correct you. The old Irish Wolfhound was more a land race. There was one of the variant in Ireland that was a lot bigger than the current Irish Wolfhound. There was also short coat versions. The short coat version was crossed with Irish Mastiff and a very different sort of English mastiff or Roman mastiff and Greyhound to create the Great Dane. They were common enough in Ireland and Manor houses along with a particular type of Irish Lord. England ruled Ireland and gave dogs to German nobility a fair few times so the Germans just called them English dogs until they tried selling pups into places like France etc and swapped the name to Great Dane. Also the Scottish Deerhound is just a strain of Irish Wolfhound. Ireland had a kingdom in South West Scotland it then expanded and absorbed the picts and became the kingdom of Alba. The dogs are from our kingdom in Scotland. To this day the majority of dna in west/southwest Scotland is Irish. We are literally Scotland connection to anything celtic. The Deerhound was crossed with Greyhound and that is why is looks the way it does. Greyhounds literally come from our celtic hounds.
This is the BEST Dog History Lesson I've ever had! I had no idea where the Irish Wolfhound's and the Great Dane's lineage came from! I assumed that because of their sizes they had some sort of Mastiff genes.
Thank you so much for this information!
I am extremely biased, but I love, love Great Danes, but again you have to train them when young, they are quite literally big babies, and are always the center of attention, I have had a few Great Danes and I still have one. If you’re looking for a great family dog with great size, you’ve gotta go with the king, the Great Dane
@Animal-Watch Hi. Love your channel..
I have a Pyrenean Mastiif (not pyrenean moutindog) And would love if you could have a show about them.
my 6 month is a big one 46 kilo (101lb) and 68 cm 29inch.
Expect to be 80-90kilo when fully grown and 82cm
it is a spanish breed and have the same work as the french pyrenean mountin dog. but have a longer life expectense. 10-120years.
Thanks from Sweden
I wonder why the Akita isn't there? Some of them get so heavy they can't 'hug' their owners. I've seen some that stand taller than their owners. I tried to adopt one once but he kept eating and tearing down the wooden fence to find company which was causing him serious injury. We found a better home for him where he had other akitas to run around with.
When I was a kid the local scrapyard had a St Bernard x English Mastiff as a guard dog, I’m 56 now and still to see a bigger dog than that
I love the Leonberger the most
People always comment on how huge my 100 lbs Briard is! Well, he would look teeny-tiny next to these giant "beasts"😂
Surprised to not see a Boerboel in there.
So no Anatolian Shepards or Kangals ? I have an Anatolian Pyrenees male cross and at seven months old standing 30” tall and at 90lbs. Seamus going to be big and healthy god willing ❤️ he’s already had a bout with HOD so prayers happy taken !
Come under the Alabai section. The Malakli is way bigger and photos of large kangals are usually Malakli
The Hungarian Komondor should be 4th on this place. 32-34" are common amongst them!
No mention of the St Bernard? My sister in law had one and he would rest his head on the dining table. The vet told them that Monty was very average, not big for the breed! I couldn't tell you how much he weighed, I should think it was a lot! 😂
I did consider them as the extra breeds at the end
Is the big guy a Leonburger or a Leonbuger mix?
I love my working sheep guarding Maremmas. The male is 75kg and 81 cm at the shoulders. The female 56kg. Smaller dogs does not work against swedish wolfs.
I love kangals. And all dogs have bigger hearts than humans❤
Alaskan malamutes are awesome dogs 🐕
Malaklı is caming from Turkey, which real name is "Aksaray Malaklisi". It may be found in Britain, but it was brought from Turkey.
🫶👍
Do a video on the fox dog hybrid
Did you forget the Spanish mastives expert equal to the English mastives inweight
and you're still forgetting about the portugese estrela mountain dog. i still want to see at least one video about them, since you've done so many on so many other live stock guardian dogs. i know there are estrelas in the uk and in ireland, so i can't help but wonder.. why not? 🙂
Because it’s just me that does everything on this channel and I’m not super woman. I haven’t prioritised this breed as I’m not that interested in it, but perhaps in the future..
@@Animal-Watch well.. the good thing is - noone needs to be a superwoman 🙂 as for prioritizing - you do what works for you. 👍
it's just quite difficult to find good information on the estrela mountain dog. they are quite rare, and one of the reasons i watch your videos is because you are very careful to talk about the downsides to every breed, as well as the upsides. i really appreciate those who are open and clear about the fact that some breeds should not be had by everyone.
and out of pure curiousity - what is it about the estrela that is NOT interesting to you?
The lady said the weatherproof coat stops any predators from biting and threw to its throat.
Hmm 😮 let’s factcheck that please.
And couldn't give a flying phuk if a burglar broke in 😂😂😅
Vaya perrotes grandes
Go meet Lion King, the 220 lb pit bull. He's lives in California and has won many gold medals.
Can you imagine the food bill to feed these dogs?!
Experts can’t make big mistakes
i rly hoped i would see a germanic beardog in here xD
Surprised the St. Bernard didn't make the cut.
I think you missed a major breed - the Turkish Sheperd dog "KANGAL"
wow
❤❤❤
Very good video but you forget the Spanish mastiff
the old molosus
70kg is NOT 187 lbs - it's 154 (approx).
Very interesting, but I'll stick with my toy poodle!
Caucasian shepherd is on our country georgia 🇬🇪 They call them NAGAZI and one NAGAZI can kill 3 Big wolfs
Iv seen these dogs while on pipeline in Georgia had big spiked collers on to protect their throats from wolves … I never knew the name thank you
Where do you leave the Spanish Mastiff? Bigger than others breed
big boys there
Loved the African mastiff. Looks like a big teddy bear but only to the owner but if socialized properly seems to me would make a great companion.
