When doing venetian plaster normally is done in 3 coats of Italian venetian. 1st coat is full coverage on board or walls, 2nd skip trowel technique and 3rd is full coverage and you will definitely get the Real Italian dimension look your talking about plus after the 3rd coat the plaster can be burnished to create a high shine if you're using grassello. If using marmamrino it will have a look with some shine with sort stucco embedded.
Both create are gorgeous and create depth on art boards or walls. It can also be stenciled during the plaster process or painted stencils embedded into the plaster as well that and looks very elegant and aged. In fact, I'm literally getting ready to do venetian artwork on my livingroom walls along with adding real thin brick on two archways in my home. One leads into my kitchen and I'm so excited. I know the projects will be stunning when I'm finished. I just did a gorgeous medallion in the hall near the bathroom today and its so beautiful. Funny thing I didn't even know Tuscany was trending again. I've had some in my home all my adult years but I'm going full on with it . Started in winter doing my wooden kitchen cabinets done with lots milled trims like rope fleur di lys. Famcy range hood too. I'm having Glad i flund Amy Howard's channel and products. 👍😍
