Thank you! We have been in 2 co-ops and I found them exhausting.

Great ideas and wisdom for incorporating homeschool communities! And considering our own families as the "core" then to decide what type of homeschool community / group may support or enhance something in our own homeschool feast or help us as the teacher to learn from someone else through a community for a season :) Thank you ladies for sharing all this excellent wisdom!!!

I can certainly appreciate a homeschool community, but it's been difficult though, for us to be a part of a regular group and have a lot of differing opinions and ideas as part of our homeschool. I truly enjoy doing as much as we can here at home, and then going on group field trips with our local (awesome) homeschool group. As well as lessons in things like music, or horseback riding. I think some of that preference also stems from our introverted personalities. We LOVE white space time. I used to feel like I needed to fill it when my first born was young, but now we would rather be home enjoying each other's company and I love watching my 2 kiddos be best friends without interference of too much running here and there.

Charlotte Mason in Community is a new website that will be a place to look for local co-ops: charlottemasonincommunity.com
