About this video:
If you're looking for a cheap and convenient way to stay in Medellin, then you should stay at The Charlee! Not only is The Charlee cheap, but it has a great rooftop bar with stunning views of the city.
However, don't let the great views of the city fool you - The Charlee has a bad guest policy. If you're not a guest of The Charlee, then you're not welcome. This means that you'll have to spend your time looking for a cheaper and more accommodating option.
In this video, we'll show you around The Charlee and tell you all about its bad guest policy. We'll also give you a tour of the hotel and show you some of

The Charlee ain't chillin'. Not recommended. Check out my playlist for other cheaper and better options in Medellin: ua-cam.com/play/PLJs_i__7twF9W6VcoXU_xv-4DdImPvfnn.html
Stayed there one night with my girlfriend years ago and noise was incredible. Hated it and have not been back.
Ya, I can imagine on a Thurs to Sunday. I was there on a Monday and still heard some noise even through the windows plus the doors.
Thank you for this review, will take into consideration
Thank you I was just about to book a room in this hotel. I change my mind. Thank you.
Nice review. Def struggling to make a choice on stays for my first time in 3 weeks and this was one on my list. I appreciate this channel. Keep it up!!! Haven and Hashtag 98 soon??lo
Haven I probably won't do. It's more or less a brothel. Great location though, nice view from the pool. Hashtag 98 I'll def do. I've got a dozen on my list
Ah man, so in your opinion should I book Hashtag 98 over Haven? @@dannybooboo
Thanks for the honest review. Any plans to review the Click Clack hotel?
Would you like me to review that one?
@@dannybooboo yes please!
@@jaimeperpin anything in specific that you'd like me to talk about?
Hello, do you have a review for your Vancouver stay? I found your UA-cam via an Airbnb review you left
I do not. I stayed in my friend's Airbnb
I had a completely different experience at the Charlee. The hotel is well-priced considering you will pay double that (at least) in the US or Canada, so if looking for a hotel experience and not Air BnB, it's a great choice. Noise (for me) was not an issue as you have two thick panels of glass that separates the sleeping area from balcony. Service was amazing...was offered an upgrade due to my bday. Happy hour trolley to your room is a great perk and they come back if you missed them- just call the front desk. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The decor and homage to local artists is notable. I found your comments about the age of women guests not being low enough particularly telling about you and your gripes with the Charlee.
Thanks for sharing your experience! Comparing the cost of your stay in Colombia to how much it would cost if you were in the USA seems bonkers to me. I'm comparing the prices to what else you can get in the local economy. Regarding the age of women, that was factual and matters not to me in the slightest. However, it does to many of my viewers who are appreciative of my detailed review.
Hey please review and stay at hotel paz at provenza. I would like to see your perspective
I'm not familiar, please post a link
saved me some money!! was about to book!! Thank you!
wow you upgraded your camera from your other masuya hotel review nice
Yes, thanks
There's no f**king way I'm staying at this hotel. Thanks for your valued review. I'm heading down to Medellín next February 2024. Will definitely cross this property off my list!
Haha. Why not?
@@dannyboobooFor the range of nightly rate they charge, I would at least expect a friendly customer service and welcoming/attentive staff throughout. That's high on my preferences. Their strict visitor policy is another reason. Also, I'm wondering why they didn't allow you to go up and check out your friend's room. Still going through your Playlist...
Dude I’d love to stay at your spot sometime here I’ve been living here for the last 6 months and your place looks bomb af
🙏🙏
The hotel looks super nice! But not for anything above 150-220 dollars. Thanks for the review, pretty cool. You have to try and make it work for you
I stay there in July 2022 and I remember I only pay about $20 of Tax! And I remember there's a free Open Bar for 2 Hours!
The open bar probably is no more otherwise I assume they would've told me as a guest 🥂
Click clack or Cielo?
I don't know click clack yet but I'd say chick for more action. Cielo is quieter, more ritzy vibes
These hotels need to be called out for their poor service on google and other sites. Charging exorbitant prices for Colombia and acting like clowns
agreed
Nope I’ve stayed here to and dealt with these employees and I felt the same way, like they pay them extra to have an attitude
🤣🤣I just doubt they're being paid extra
BS. Stayed in the jacuzzi suites multiple times. Way better than the Marquis; only thing that is overrated is the gym. Suggest that this guy limit himself to a Dann Carlton standard room - they have the cool pool culture. Randomly attended a class with the ex-manager of the Charlee - a Cornell U MS grad.
actually the gym is the best part. best hotel gym I've ever been to, by far
@@dannybooboo The gym is nothing spectacular by US standards.
I usually just go there for the gym. Can pay per week. The upstairs bar is very strict with their dress code. Was denied access for wearing a cap.
Yes and it's not even nice. I do like the gym, mostly. You'll find me there some months
